Thanx for all the reply

Halo. I did Java 7 Years ago when it was just ugly! I had an Ugly professor giving the classes and developed a deep HATE for JAVA, Thus i am a MS person with MSSQL, VB.Net, MS., MS., etc. Now after 7 years i am getting tierd of MS as my PC (winXP) had lots of problems, so my first step was to install Linux (also done 7 years ago, when Xwindows was but a baby). So this is who I am and now: I am becomming a anti MS, I would like to put my feude with Java behind me and give it a nother try, So Yea you could tell me to get to know Java better but this is why i am here! I would like to download the dev environment and have a look at it, what do you think SE or EE ??
What version shall it be SE or EE? I am not looking at ME so 1 eliminated 1 to go.
Thanx

  • For the picture quality which one i should choose, canon 700d or 60d??

Hey guys, im planning to buy a camera...
because i'm not have so much money so i'm interested at 2 models.... EOS 60D and EOS 700D
60D are old one than 700D... If i want a better picture which camera I should choose??
I usually shooting at JPEG mode....
And if I saw the spec the processor are quietly different (DIGIC 5 on 600D and DIGIC 4 on 60D), is the processor affect very much on the picture quality.....
and my notes, i dont like to buy twice so I would buy for the best....... thanks guys....
    ---HarrY---

The 700D has more "gee wiz" features (touch-screen, etc.)   But the 700D is more of an "entry" range body and the 60D is a "mid-range" body (Canon has entry level bodies, mid-level bodies, and pro-level bodies.)
On a "pro" and "mid-range" body, the body has two dials... one just behind the shutter button and the other on the back of the body.  These are strategically located so that when shooting in manual mode, you can put your index finger on the front wheel (usually to adjust shutter speed) and you can but your thumb on the rear-dial (usually to adjust aperture/f-stop).  This allows for fairly rapid use in manual mode without needing to take your eye away from the viewfinder.
The 60D has that layout (more like a pro body).  The 700D does not.
The imaging senssors on those two bodies are actually the same generation (both use Canon's 18MP sensor).  You wont actually see any significant difference in image quality between the two bodies.
The 60D is "weather sealed" (I put that in quotes because you should NOT confuse this for meaning it is water-proof.  It is not waterproof ... do not submerge it.  That would be very bad.)  Weather sealed means that openings in the body for buttons and dials and body seams all have gaskets or o-rings which are generally regarded as being good enough to seal out water or dust as long as it's not under any pressure.  If you get caught in the rain... not a big deal.  Just towel it off (do not open the body until you towel it off... it's obviously not sealed when doors are open or your lens is removed.)  Many of Canon's "L" series lenses (not all of them) are also weather sealed.  So keep in mind that while the body may be sealed and able to deal with some rain... the lens may not necessarily be able to deal with some rain.
DIGIC V does have better JPEG processing than DIGIC IV... although you may not necessarily be able to notice the difference.
I've seen (and so have you) stunningly gorgeous images coming from very old and very basic DSLR bodies.  The largest difference in image quality will be you... your skill.  Buying a Canon 1D-X flagship body will not ensure your images look fantastic no more than buying a Steinway concert grand piano will help you play beautiful music... if you never learned to play a piano.  You ultimately have to learn photography, exposure, and how to take advantage of your camera.
If you plan to learn to shoot in manual mode, you will likely prefer the control and ergonomic layout that the 60D offers.  If you prefer to shoot in automatic, semi-automatic, or scene modes, then you will likely prefer the 700D.

  • Which one I should choose ?

I'm a beginner and I have no idear which one I should choose:JB5.0,VJ++ or anyone else.I'm looking foward some suggestions about it.
    Thank for your help.

Ive seen the suggestions of willright, morgalr,DrClap, and jsalonen. Thank for your helps. Ive also heard some evaluations about VJ++ as DrClap said, and it doesnt matter whether its free or not, but now I maintain JB is more suitable cause I think JDKs form Sun are difficult to understand. Im not so bright that I like visual platform and Ill go to see the Forte you advised. Thank you very much!

hi, i got Macbook Pro 2007, OS X 10.5.8, I would like to update my system, which one I should choose? tks

Mountain Lion is the current version of the latest OS, with Mavericks coming this fall.
However, I would suggest that you simply upgrade to Snow Leopard -> http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard. It's a very good, very fast OS and, best of all, it can still run those PPC apps that you may be using.

  • Which component I should choose to simulated a stepper motor's winding?

    Dear all,
I'm now trying to design a chopper type stepper motor driver. In order to learn from basic, I build a simple circle with only one motor winding. I choose advanced inductor for motor winding. But some of the parameters required in this component cannot get.
I'm now able to measure target motor's parameters using a programable LCR meter, and get results below:
    Winding-1:
    Inductance : 524.6uH
    Z : 392.7 ohms
    Q factor : 1.758
    Winding-2:
    Inductance: 543.5uH
    Z : 392.9 ohms
    Q factor : 1.770
How to use these readings to get :
    1.Inductor Self Resonant Frequency
    2.Inductor Rated Current(Idc)
Or should I choose another component?
    Thanks
    Stanley Hsu

    Hi Jet,
I used Multisim power pro version 10.1. Sorry I forget where I found this component, but I upload the property page of this inductor. Hope you can find something.

  • How do you (can you) teach Genius to which songs it should choose?

Genius for the new iTunes 8.0 chooses playlists based on the selected song.
I want to train this, sort of like Pandora radio, where you yea, or nay a song and it learns and figures out what you want to hear.

Firefox doesn't have the same type of interface for the Profile Manager that Netscape did. You might want to look at SeaMonkey ''(which uses the same Mozilla Gecko code as Firefox has)''.

  • Which Tools should I use?

    Hi,
I am a seasoned Java programmer with very basic knowledge of HTML and CSS. I am planning to switch career working from home producing website and undertaking SEO work. I am planning to learn new skills/tools over the course of the next six months.
Only problem is that I cant work which tools I should use for highly unique, responsive and design rich websites?
So far I have come to the conclusion I need to learn the following:-
PHOTOSHOP - To get the concept and design pixel perfect
EDGE RELOW  - To create the HTML structure and CSS framework [imported directly from Photoshop]
DREAMWEAVER - To finalise the HTML and CSS and iron out any issues which
Does this seem like like a reasonable path to follow? Should I consider switching Photoshop with Illustrator?
    Thanks

Very nice plan you have, I applaud you for making the move to freelancing.  Make sure you have another source of income before going 100% all in or at least 10 months of savings to live off of while you learn.
I spent my time learning HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.  I also spent time upgrading my skills on PHP and MySQL these are the 5 predominate technologies that the WWW is run on.  Unless you are focusing on Microsoft in which case you would be using .net, ASP and visual studio software and not Adobe's except for maybe Photoshop and Illustrator.
I have the full Creative Cloud Membership and have Dreamweaver installed but I rarely use it, I also have editors and IDE's from other 3rd party companies and developers but I tend to fallback using NotePad++ and just hand code as much as possible.  Syntax and Tag Hi-lighting is the most important features for an editor and NotePad++ has all that either built-in or with available addon's.  Not sure why I tend to just use NotePad++ and not Dreamweaver or some other IDE, maybe speed has something to do with it.
Reflow is a "Preview" software it is not meant to actually be used in real world projects.  Though the most recent update has improved their output codes for CSS you are still going to want to make changes and optimize it yourself.  There is no software out there that will do it all for you so you can give that dream up right away, you are going to have to do some hand coding to take what Reflow gives you and optimize it.  You are going to have to learn Html5 and CSS3 but since you will be working with clients they will have their own preexisting code so you will need to either work from that OR start from scratch if the client would be willing for that to happen without adding cost.  So you are going to need to also learn Xhtml and the differences between that and Html5.
Depending on how you learn Lynda.com has great education that is inexpensive compared to going to a college and taking a course.
The best books I have seen and purchased are those by "Murach", they replace quite a few books out there but they are not the end all be all either.
Photoshop, Dreamweaver combination are common.  I like Muse for the visual development nature of the application but it creates up to 3 separate websites one for desktop, tablet and phones.  The problem there is you have potentially three separate sites all working within one domain.   I much prefer Reflow's setup over that but the code is not production ready, maybe in another year.
A lot of people also use Wordpress so you may want to explore that and how that CMS works as well as other CMS's.
Starting out focus on learning Html5 and CSS3 along with Javascript.  If you want to do backend development I personally use PHP and MySQL and then learning how AJAX works so you can use JS to talk to the backend and pull and submit information behind the scenes.  This is not required but the more dynamic the sites you build the more you will want this type of connectivity.

  • Hello I wrote a technical french book on " iBooks Author" and I would like to Know witch catégorie I should choose?

hello I wrote a technical french book on " iBooks Author" and I would like to Know witch catégorie I should choose?

Sorry,  I  cannot remember all teh  many options of category and sub categories offered during the delivery process.
A very simple solution for you is to use Google Translate to convert the category  titles  to French
Another option is  to  use the iBooks store -  search for books made with iBooks Author  open a few preview / sample books to look at the information page and check which categories are used the most... and use the same!

  • Which Macbook Pro should I purchase? I'm thinking the non-Retina 13" with 2.9GHZ and 128GB SSD...

I am looking to purchase a new laptop in the near future but I am not sure which configurations--specifically relating to speed and memory--I should choose. As of now I am thinking about this:
    13" non Retina Macbook Pro
2.9GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz
    8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM — 2x4GB
    128GB Solid State Drive
    SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
the total cost for this package is $1,599 which is just about my total budget-- it don't want to go over $1,800.
At this point, I have sort of ruled out the Retina display because I'm not really sure if it is worth it. Instead, I would like to buy a Macbook Pro that is very fast, durable, and spacious (in terms of memory).
In the past, I have opted for the standard specs but I have learned the hard way that configurations matter.
I plan to use this laptop for my last two years of college in hopes that it will last me at least 3 years after that (My current Macbook is in its 5th year but has seen two different hard drives....). I have a large music collection (100 gigs or so) stored on a variety of different drives as well as some movies that I would love to (for the first time since I downloaded Napster) have on the same device without losing computing power or processing speed. Also I am a beginner/intermediate programmer who likes to spend very extended time periods jumping between programs and just messing around on the Internet (but honestly, who doesn't? haha).
One thing I'm not entirely sure about is the eminent release of Mountain Lion OS X. Should I be waiting for this to be the standard on all laptops or does it not matter all the much?
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears...

    Hey Mitch,
i've had the same decission, the same budget and the Mac was for the same purposes (a little bit of coding and the rest just for normal work at university). So what do you think i ordered yesterday? Exactly the same configuration you posted above! Why? The Retina Macbook Pro was too expensive, the other 15'' models haven't got SSDs and when you choose the buy to order option with SSD you can just go and buy the Retina Macbook. So there's only the 13'' MacBook Pro left (if you want a Macbook Pro - i wanted one because the configuration of an MB Air with the 1,8GHz Prozessor and 8GB of Ram is more expansive than the Macbook pro Configuration you posted above, plus u have less of processor power. And i don't mind carrying around 800g more, for mobile working i have an iPad). Then i had to go with the i7 MBP because on the long runs you will definetly need his power. And in a few years you would regret if you chose less power.... and SSD is a must have just like 8GB of ram.
And when you think about the future you always have the possibilty to upgrade your Mac to 16gb of ram or to an 512 gb ssd (when they are cheaper :P) cause the "thick" macbooks have those parts not directly on the mainboard so that they can be changed by yourself in just a few minutes. And if your missing a dedicated graphic card the future will bring thunderbold graphic cards.
For OSX Mountain Lion you don't have to wait. If you buy your mac now the upgrade is free so it is does not matter that much. You can always wait for better times but waiting for ever shouldn't be the goal.
I hope i could help you,
    greetings from Europe

  • Which tool do you use for load testing?

Which tool do you use for load testing for J2EE application?

    hi,
i use jmeter for without issues..
first make sure that the system from where you are doing load testing is in the same lan(without firewall) to that of server. Here you are testing the capacity of server and not the network bandwith.
So assuming very good network connection what is the servers performance level...
If u have to decide which tool is decent enough to load testing,
i would suggest go for jmeter. its reliable and i have used it without problems.
Here is my quick tutorial for jemeter which i made for my teams reference.
    REFERENCE
For Getting Started refer to any tutorial for Jmeter
You can refer to introduction on
              http://jakarta.apache.org/jmeter/usermanual/
    RUNNING LOAD TEST
         Extract jakarta-jmeter-2.3RC4.zip in c:
         install jdk-1_5_0_12-windows-i586-p.exe
         Run C:\jakarta-jmeter-2.3RC4\bin\jmeter.bat
In Test Plan add Thread Group
Right Click Thread Group -> Add->Sampler->HTTP Request
Select HTTP Request added fill details
              Serverip:www.xyz.com
              Port:80
              Path:/xyz-webapp/index.jsp
              Use KeepAlive: Checked
Retrive All Embeded images from HTML: Checked(For geting images inside html)
Right Click Thread Group -> Add->Listner->Graph Results
Click on Thread Group Fill details
No of Threads:3(This means no of simultaneous users)
Ramp Up Period:1(3 Request will be made in 1 second period)
Loop Count:5(Above process should be repeated how many times)
         Save TestPlan
         Run -> Clear All
         Run -> Start
Click on Graph Results for Output
Try adding different listener in Thread Group
              Thread Group -> Add->Listner->Summary Report
Listeners coud be added at thread group level or HTTP Request Level
    RECORDING A TEST.
Add a HTTP proxy server in workbench by right clicking on it and selecting Add->Non test Element->HTTP Proxy Server.
In Test Plan Add Thread Group
In HTTP proxy server select Target Controller as Test Plan > Thread Group.
Go to Internet Explorer and go to internet settings and set proxy server as localhost and the port
which is configured in Jmeter proxy server.Save Settings.
In Jeter proxy server start by Clicking on Start button in the HTTP Proxy Server Flap.
In browser navigate the application which you want to test.
The nodes will be added in the Thread Group.
Once Navigation is done stop the proxy server and save the test plan from file menu.
    LOGGING INTO APPLICATION.
When we have to login into system and then navigate the system
we need a cookie to be tracked after login. This could be achieved
simply by Add -> Config Element -> HTTP Cooie Manager.
After adding the HTTP Cooie Manager simply run the test.
    LOOPING COUNTER.
When a request is made multiple parameter is sent to server.
Parameters are sent from the HTTP Request node added in the Thread Group
in "Send Parameter with the request" table.
If we run the loop count 10 times the parameters will be sent same in every request.
If you have to send parameters like user1,user2,user3,user4....
then add -> Pre processor -> Counter.
Put start as 1 and and Maximum as 10 or whatever required.
Put Referene name as iCtr or whatever.
         In the "Send Parameter with the request" in value column put user${iCtr}

  • Which tools best for which tasks and project workflow planning?

I am just getting comfortable with the basics of several CS tools and often need to use more than one to build a final product. Since I don't have a long history with the tools I still struggle learning which tool to use for specific tasks and then how best to use the variety of created assets in the various programs.
Currently using CS4 After Effects, Flash, and Photoshop to create web flash swf files. Most books, forums, tutorials, etc. focus on a given tool and how to use its features. I have looked but not found books that take you through a project start to end that spans several tools and using the best parts of each to accomplish pieces of the finished project.
Also, I find getting assets from one tool to the next does not always work out so well. For example, a text layer in AE can be exported a couple ways but by the time it gets into Flash it no longer retains the original text layer and is either rasterized or broekn up. So that is where better understanding workflow, if that is the right term, might help me ensure I use the right tool at the right time in the right order to minimize these kinds of problems.

The guys from Waterloo labs did something similar: http://goo.gl/JkOy
They used a sbRIO, which is very similar to myRIO and you should have no problem doing this with myRIO.  More info on their setup can be found here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/11966/en/.  You may even be able to re-use some of their code.

  • Which DNG converter should I be using?

Which DNG converter should I be using?
I am now still using Lightroom 4.4 and my camera is Nikon D4s...
the converter (cannot remember which version)  used to work before, but it was behaving strangely with part of the display hidden, after I reinstall, it is not working anymore......???

If compatible with your operating system, you should always use the latest DNG converter. It will recognize the most cameras, and will create DNG copies that are compatible with any version of Camera Raw since version 2.4.  All you need to do is choose the appropriate options in the DNG converter.
