Which version Diagnotics Agent to install for ERP6 systems using SM 7.1 ?

Hi,
I have a recently installed Solution Manager 7.1 system and would now like to add our managed systems for monitoring.
Our managed systems are all running NW EHP2 / ERP6 EHP5 and I have installed the latest SAPHostagent 7.2 on each of these systems. These systems are non unicode running on Suse Linux Enterprise 10.
I'm confused as to which version Diagnostic Agent to install for this setup. Under Solution Manager 7.1 in SWDC the managing agents are for a 7.3 installation only and the prerequisites require Suse Linux Enterprise 11. I'm not sure whether I can use agents located under older Solution Manager systems.
With the above information in mind can you help ?
Thanks.

Nelis

  • How to find out which version of AIR is installed on Linux

    Hi,
How do I find out which version of the Adobe AIR runtime I have installed on my Ubuntu system?
Please don't tell me to look at this article in the Knowledge Base, since the method reported there does not work. The file /opt/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/Resources/ApolloVersion does not exist.
    thanks
    m.

You could find the version of Adobe AIR installed on your system using the commandline as well:
dpkg -s adobeair (on Debian systems like Ubuntu)
rpm -q adobeair (on RPM based systems like Fedora and Opensuse)
    -Neha

Yes, I always use the latest version of the agent. You need to check to see if your system passes the prerequisites though.

If you have only a single home, the quickest/easiest way is probably just to check the properties of %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\2.x\oracle.dataacess.dll
Or are you asking how to check it at runtime?
If you want to see externally what is actually loaded by an app you can use process explorer

  • Which version of iPhoto you need for streaming?

I have an iPhone 4, with iOS 5, streaming active. But there is no streaming of pictures towards my Mac. I read the explanations, the help pages in iCloud and Apple doesn't mention at all which version of iPhoto you need for this feature. It's sure that in the Sources I don't have "Streaming", as I can see in their image. I have iPhoto 8.1.2 and OS 10 6.8.

Hi, thanks for the answer, but iCloud works on my Mac with Snow Leopard.
From Safari I can access through icloud.com to Calendar, Contacts, Mail, iWork and Find my iPhone. Actually I don't have iWork for the iPhone, so I can't really use it, and I didn't activate Mail (in my iPhone), because all my accounts are IMAP and messages are saved forever.
Well, the only other thing that interested me was Streaming (so is it called in Italian, but you are right, in the English version of the help pages it is called Photo Stream).
I'm aware that the version of iPhoto that I need for that feature must be more recent than mine, but I still hope that there is a version of iPhoto which supports Photo Stream and requires only Snow Leopard. I think that after iLife 9 (my version) there is directly iLife 11 (the present version), and I know it requires only 10.6.3 and not Lion. If Photo Stream is supported by iLife 11 and iLife 11 requires 10.6.3.... But perhaps there is an exception for some features, like Photo Stream. I would like to know...
I don't want to update to Lion, it is a slow system.
    Thanks again

  • No JRE version found in launch file for this system

    Hi,
I have an application which is launched by JWS.
When we use JWS from 1.4, it runs fine. But JWS from 1.5.0_15 gives the error "No JRE version found in launch file for this system"
In both the JWS(1.4 and 1.5.0_15)cases, we install JRE1.5.0_15 using the installer and used for invoking the application.
We invoke mailclient.jnlp, which inturn invokes the installer.jnlp and KanaJreInstaller.asp

Does it list it with the entire string "KANA1.5.0_15" or is is just listed as "1.5.0_15"?
Because this line from the JNLP file..
<j2se version="KANA1.5.0_15" href="KanaJreInstaller.asp"/>..had me convinved it was a non-Sun JRE. Not so much the href, but most especially the version attribute.
If it really is the Sun JRE, I would expect this to work.
<j2se version="1.5.0_15" href="KanaJreInstaller.asp"/>And as an aside. If this installer is giving you trouble and the app. requires the 1.5.0_15 JRE, why not simply the default Sun JRE installer? What advantages do you think this installer offers?

Hi, I planned to purchase a laptop for me to use for graphic design ..could let me know which laptop would be the best for me to use ? Thank you! Pro or Air

Someday - and no one knows when that day will come - maybe all applications will be able to take advantage of the Retina display. But for the present, not many do: including all Adobe applications. There was a demo of Photoshop at the Apple World Wide Developers Conference of Photoshop running at native Retina resolutions but no one at Adobe in marketing is saying when, if or how the upgrade may be coming. It could be a week, it could be a year, it could be 2-3 years. No one knows. And only Apple app's (for the main part) are really utilizing the native Retina display.
I've seen some demos of some applications (Apple's) that take advantage of the Retina display and they're awesome. But in actually working in the here-and-now I've heard quite a few gripes, particularly on the Photoshop forum, of menus looking pixelated and/or 'blurry' so I'm not quite ready to jump into the Retina display boat just now. Don't get me wrong - others have ad are very, very pleased with their selection. But until Retina displays are available on larger monitors, the maximum work area that you're going to be able to use is 15" - and that's simply not enough room for full-blown graphic design. Then there's the cost factor - for the $4,000+ you spend for a completely full-blown Retina kit, you can get a standard MacBook Pro, 16 GB of RAM, a fast SSD and even the Apple Thunderbolt Display for the same amount.
The standard MacBook Pro isn't better than the Retina display: it's just different. And I think (and this is only my opinion - other graphic designers should feel free to jump in here) that it's the best computer that you can get for your specific purposes. And, towards that goal, I have to recommend a very good external monitor (there's nothing more annoying than having to use InDesign in a single-page mode rather than side-by-side because your monitor isn't big enough).
Remember that this is only my opinion and that others might jump in with their own. But I was in the electronic pre-press business for more years than I care to admit and we always - always - worked with at least 19" monitors (and that's back when dinosaurs actually ruled the world).
I hope that others will jump in with their comments. I'm going to follow this thread and see!
    Good luck,
    Clinton
