Which version OCA,OCP Exam is Better Right now,10g or 11g??

Hello sir,
I am Hardik Jethava,I am from India.
I want to know which Oracle version OCA and OCP certification is better to pursue according to market trend whether it is better to pursue for 10g or 11g?
Please help someone guide me.
So,that i can start preparation for that exams.

I want to know which Oracle version OCA and OCP certification is better to pursue according to market trend whether it is better to pursue for 10g or 11g?IMHO, 11g is better. taking latest release certification will be helpful to you( for your career). so take OCA & OCP of 11g(only one exam).
also learn 10g features.
if you would like to do 10g, first take 10g OCA and OCP certification then you can upgrade your certification to 11g.

  • Oracle 9i OCA/OCP Exam

    Hi,
I just want to know that is it compulsory to study in any prometric centre for appearing in all exams of 9i/10G? Someone told me that, i will not eligible to appear in exam, until and unless i am not student of any prometric centre. Is it right?
I am sorry, i do'nt know; whether i should post this query here or not?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks & Regrds

Sir, Thanks you so much. I checked the link provided by you and there is nothing mentioned like "a person must be a student of prometric / oracle authorized centre, for eligible in 9i oca/ocp exam". It means, if i prepare myself and study the oracle, i am eligible to appear in the exam (no need to be student of prometric / oracle authorized, bocz this condition is no where mentioned).
    Thanks & Regards

  • Which version of Galaxy S6 works better with At&t G920I or G920F?

Which version of Galaxy S6 works better with At&t G920I or G920F? I heard that the bands are way different so before purchasing anything I will like to hear if there is anyone having already an unlocked galaxy s6 working properly with At&t?

Thanks GLIMMERMAN76 The reason why I asked its because I order this:  http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1136399-REG/samsung_g920i_32gb_black_galaxy_s6_sm_g920i_32gb.html And I had several issues with the signal where on my previous iPhone 5 I was getting speeds of 35mbps on the G920i I was getting 5 to 7 mbps I called At&t customer support told me that they could not register my devices on their network because the imei was not supported or something like that so I contact the store where I order this and return it since it was not working for me (because of the LTE speeds) Now Im concerned and want to order the right model this time. What are your download speeds? where they able to register your devices in the At&t network? -Thank you.

  • IMac, Version 10.93. Illustrator CS6 right now suddenly crashes...

iMac, Version 10.93. Illustrator CS6 right now suddenly crashed. Now when I try to launch the program it immediatley crashes. In the support section it says that I should move all third-party plug-ins that are not compatible with Mavericks. I don't know what that means exately (I havn't myself installed any third party plug-ins).  As I'm on a deadline here please help? Thx in advance.

    I FOUND IT!
I had SIMBL and afloat installed, which are powerful but hacky tools for Mac OS X window management. After I downloaded SIMBL and ran the uninstaller and rebooted, Illustrator works again.
It dawned on me that it must have been something I installed, so created a new user on my laptop and ran Illustrator. I ran Illustrator as the new user and it worked!
I logged back in as myself. First I tried disabling all user fonts via Font Book. That didn't help.
Then I used the dtrace command and ran Illustrator on both accounts. I used the following command which gives me a nice sorted list of (almost) every file opened by Illustrator:
    sudo -l
    '/Applications/Adobe Illustrator CS6/Adobe Illustrator.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Illustrator' &!
    sudo dtruss -f -t open -p `ps auxww | grep -i illustrator | grep -v grep | grep -vi crash | awk '{print $2}'` 2>&1 | tee /tmp/log
    # hit ctrl-c
    cat log | perl -lne'if (/open\("(.*?)\\0/) { print $1 }' | egrep -v '/.vol' | sort | uniq >files
...then I diffed both lists of files. Besides some obvious cache stuff, the big thing that my copy of Illustrator seemed to be opening was SIMBL and afloat. As I said, I uninstalled SIMBL and restarted, and voila!
So glad to finally have fixed this. Between Photoshop and OmniGraffle and in a pinch InkScape, I've pretty much replaced Illustrator, but there are times when I really need to do vector design. I'll miss afloat though.

  • Which version of Oracle 9i is better to work with 9iAS R2 ?

Can Anyone tell me which version of Oracle 9i is certified to work with 9i Application Server release 2 ?
    Oracle 9i Release 9.0.1 or Oracle 9i Release 2 ?
    Thanks.

Currently, Oracle9i Database Release 1 is the only one certified against Oracle9iAS Release 2. But Oracle9i Database Release 2 certification is partially completed (exceptions are Portal and Clickstream). We are working to complete the certification, so that Oracle9i DB Release 2 is fully certified against Oracle9iAS Release 2. I don't have an estimated date of completion.

  • Preparation for Oracle 10g OCA and OCP exams

    Hi all,
I am studying for my first Oracle 10g OCA exam. Thus far, I have the Transcender exam prep software and book from Oracle Press for the OCA/OCP exams with Oracle 10g. With a test Oracle 10g database to practice on while I study, am I on the right path?
    Thanks

Use the http://education.oracle.com OR http://otn.oracle.com as your portal - you'll see the Certification link on either one. From the Certification page you will be able to drill down to the objectives and requirements of the exam. I suggest you use that as a checklist, as the various books and sample exams have been known to include mistakes or miss items.
In addition, you should be familiar with the first few chapters of the Oracle Concepts manual and also, preferably, the first few chapters of the DB Admin Guide - both available from http://tahiti.oracle.com
A great motto while learning is "trust no one - verify everything"

  • OCP Exam Question

    Hi Folks,
My employer had sent me for the Oracle 10g DBA workshop in 2009.
Now, I have some time on my hands and I am planing on writing my OCA and OCP exams.
My question is, since I had attended the 10g workshop, do I qualify to write the 10g OCP exam ? or can I write the 11g exam (based on the 10g training)?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
As an after thought, will I qualify to write the 11g OCP exam based on 10g Admin I workshop ? is Oracle very particular about the exam and workshop versions a student has attended ?
    Thanks
rogers42Oracle is particular about what hands on courses are valid.
A wide range of courses are often available, but what is generally not allowed is using a hands on course at version 'X' to meet a certification requirement for version 'X+1'.
(Sometimes hands on courses for version 'X+1' are allowed for version 'X' certiifcations.
So if I recall correctly you have attended a hands on course eligible for '10g DBA OCP' but which is not eliglble for '11g DBA OCP'. Unless you wish to attend a further course your path would be to attain 10g DBA OCP and them upgrade your certification to 11g DBA OCP (the upgrade does not require a mandatory hands on course attendance

Muhammad AliOkay I've haven't done 1z0-045 ... but I at one point I was considering 1z0-050 so I'm willing to share my views on an upgrade exam and exams in general.
Remember Oracle are trying to ensure that a DBA who was tested at 8i DBA OCP has nw
It depends on your definition of read the topics. If you mean literally just read the topics then that will result in a failure. If you mean study research practice and fully understand the topics that should lead to a pass.
Bear in mind that Oracle would expect a competent 8i DBA attending the 5 day training course Oracle Database 10g: New Features for Oracle8i DBAs [http://education.oracle.com/web_prod-plq-dad/plsql/show_desc.redirect?dc=D17389GC10&p_org_id=&lang=&source_call=] to be able pass the exam with perhaps 2 to 4 weeks further study, revision and practice.
Interestingly this particular exam has a relatively high pass mark (73%) ... one implication of that is that it is prudent to be comfortable with all topics.
Generally an upgrade exam will cover topics beyond that of the straight OCA/OCP exams. The questions will obviously be at OCP level.
It is possilble the Sybex book Oracle 10g New Features for Administrators Study Guide (Certification Study Guide) ISBN-13: 978-0782143553 which although for 1z0-040 may have some relevance for some of your topics. If you choose to purchase it that is your choice. (It seems to have good amazon reviews ... though all of these books can contain errors, it may or may not be updated for 10gR2, and some Sybex Oracle books are sometimes OTT in some areas IMHO, but that wouldn't stop me using one).

  • OCA/OCP study guide

    Hi All,
I have a question about the 1Z0-803 and 1Z0-804 exams study guides. what do you think? Is it OK to use "Sun certified programmer java 6 study guide by kathy sierra" as a study guide for OCA/OCP exams?
    Thanks

    Lina,
Yes the book is very good for 1Z0-803 exam along with oca 7 training lab. For OCPJP 7, we are yet to find study books.

  • Which version to sell?

There's the 2007.8 version and the 2008.4 version (which is RC). Is the RC stable enough to be selling? Or how long will it be until the final release is released?
So which version do you recommend I should sell now? The old version or the newer one?

No, open source is "free as in free speech, not as in free beer". I thought this cliche was getting old, but it always needs reminding
Even Stallman used to sell copies of Emacs. Selling is good for people who want a physical copy of the program/OS, and for those who don't have a fast internet connection (of course you could argue that Arch is not ideal for such situations). What matters is that the software is freely (re)distributable (i.e. no restrictions), through any means.

I've now read on your subject what you meant by fundamentals +(if all else fails read the original posters question)+.. ie 9i DBA OCA and 9i DBA OCP .... no for you forget those and and follow the link to the Pl/SQL developer track ....

Exam order is not important, but you dont get certificates unless pre-requisites all met. The is an interesting cheap beta exam arround at present if you are up for it ... 1z0-144

Good day. Hope you have sun where you are today . . .
Which version of the R12 documentation set should we use if preparing for the R12 OCP? I am going through the various versions set out here
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html
There are several doc sets available -
For 12 the doc (Part) number for Application Concepts is B31450-01 (196 pages)
For 12+ the doc number for Application Concepts is B31450 -04 (204 pages)
For 12.1.1 the doc number for Application Concepts is E12841-02 (208 pages)
    etc
    etc
I would like of course, to be reading the most relevant and up to date materials, but I am not sure which version of these documents the exam is based on.
Could someone please advise, before I begin studying these?
    Many thanks in advance.
