    Help: I have recently downloaded the newest software version for apple products. I have a iPod touch. After the process of updating my software, my photo app doesn't work anymore. I can't take pictures or view them at all. Every time I try opening the app it kicks me out of it and sends me to the home screen. I have tried turning off my iPod and back on multiple times. Even double tapping the home screen button and closing my opened apps. And I tried looking for the photo app in the app store but I did not see it. So I am wondering what can I do? And is this due to the new software update? Does anyone else have this problem?

    No, I have not tried any backup tools. I havent restored my ipod back to factory settings yet and then sync everything back on it. I am kind of scared too because I dont want to lose anything. I have just been hoping some new apple software update will come out because I know several people have had problems when updating to the newest version available.

  • Which version of Airport Express do I have?

    Hi --
    We just moved into a new place and we're having some trouble getting the wireless network to reach all the corners of the house. I have an old Airport Extreme that is helping somewhat but not great so I am considering upgrading our Time Machine to the newer dual band version. I'd like to know whether the Airport Extreme can take advantage of a/g/n -- is there a way to tell which version / generation of Airport Extreme I own?
    Thanks,
    Ramon

    Dual band can be a bit confusing because at the default settings, "n" devices can connect to either the 5 GHz band or 2.4 GHz band.
    The dual band Time Capsules and AirPort Extreme broadcast both bands simultaneously, and it's up to the computer to automatically choose the best connection. It does this based on a formula only known to Apple engineers that compares the network speed, signal strength, noise and who knows what else.
    In other words if you have a dual band Time Capsule or AirPort Extreme set up in the default dual band Radio Mode, it's not possible to know in advance whether an "n" capable computer will connect to the 2.4 GHz band or the 5 GHz band....unless you assign a different name to the 5 GHz band and specifically "point" computers to that network.
    Slower "b" and "g" devices will always connect to the 2.4 GHz band because they have no other choice. They can't connect to 5 GHz.
    If your "n" computer is connected to the 5 GHz band, the throughput can approach 270-300 Mbps, which is more than twice as fast as "n" at 2.4 GHz. So, there's a distinct advantage to having the computer connect at 5 GHz (if it can)....wireless backups or file transfers are going to occur in half the time or less.
    The downside to 5 GHz, rarely mentioned in the snazzy marketing materials, is that these signals are much weaker than 2.4 GHz signals, so they do not penetrate walls or obstructions nearly as well as 2.4 GHz signals. You really almost have to have a line-of-sight relationship between the computer and router for 5 GHz to work most effectively. Many users have been very disappointed to learn that their new Mac is not connecting at 5 GHz several rooms away from the wireless router. It chooses the slower 2.4 GHz band instead because it "sees" a stronger signal there. If there are also "b" and "g" devices on the 2.4 GHz band at the time, the "n" devices are slowed down even further.
    If your budget allows, the dual band option +may possibly+ provide you with a significant increase in performance. It's nice to have the option to enable a separate Guest network as well. But, there are never any guarantees with wireless. My advice would be to think carefully about where devices will be located as this will have a huge effect on the performance that can be achieved on the network.

  • MAC iOS 10.4.11 compatible with which version of Apple SDK?

    Hi,
    I have 10.4.11 MAC OS....I want to install the SDK for mobile App development and testing. Can anyone tell me which version of SDK I need to install to make it work without having to update my iOS?
    Thanks,
    Prasun

    Hello, I don't think it's going to work, unless you just want to develop for older versions of iOS & OSX.

  • How to tell: Which version of camera raw do I have?

    How to tell which version of camera raw I have? The only Google search I found answering this question refers to is 2 years old and seems to no longer apply. There is no File, Edit etc. menu on the new version of Camera Raw with (Photoshop/Bridge CS6). I do use Adobe Application Manager to do my updates telling me if a new version exists or not, nevertheless I would like to know.

    The F key works as described for me in CS6-ACR7.4 with ACR as the window with focus.  The same function is available using the double-arrow-window icon at the right of the Preview checkbox near the top right of the preview area.
    When in full-screen mode there is no title bar, but when I press the F key or click the double-arrow, again, ACR becomes smaller and I can see the title bar that includes the ACR version and camera model.  This is on Windows7-64-bit on a 1600x1050 monitor.  Perhaps you’re ACR’s title bar is off the top of the screen so you can’t see it, or maybe ACR optimizes some things if you have a smallish display—do you?
    A plug-in is a program that interfaces with another program but is not independently runnable application, itself, bit is independently updatable, so in this instance, Photoshop doesn’t need to be downloaded and installed every time Adobe adds support for a few more cameras.

  • Which version of the GX620 do I have

    Hey guys,
    I know I have a GX620, but how would i go about figuring out which exact version, mines the one without the turbo button. If you happen to know which version, does it have x64 support?

    Run CPU-z, then you can see the CPU flags.
    But as it's a very modern laptop, I would be surprised if it doesn't have x64 support.

  • Which version of Route66 / Navigator do I have on ...

    Greetings all,
    Been trying for a long time now to figure out which version of Route66/Navigator I have on my N 6110 Navigator.  Is there any way at all to find out?  I've looked through every setting, menu and soforth on my phone (purchased in 2007) and I've found nothing at all about which version of the Route66 software that is on the phone.  I assume it's version 8, since the maps I use with it end with the .map extension which I've been told isn't the case with earlier versions of the software.
    (My phone software version is 3.51, but when I called Nokia support to get them to tell me how to find out which version of Route66 I had on my phone, the kept telling me the phone software version (6.xx) but couldn't give me a straight answer as to how to find out which version of Route66 I had, which was frustrating.)
    Also, what's the deal with Nokia Maps?  Does this replace the Route66 software on the phone?  I've purchased the maps I use from Route66 (Currently using Australia Q1 2009).  Does Nokia Maps work better or have any feature over and above the installed Route66 Navigator software?

  • Which version of the E71 do I have?

    I bought a E71 from Expansys via Amazon UK back in October, and it has the product code 0568325. But which version of the E71 is this? I ask because I thought I had the unbranded generic UK version of the handset, which is what I wanted, but I may have a varient made for the Carphone Warehouse. I've been trying to upgrade to the latest firmware but NSU stays resolutely stuck on version 110. Is there a list of the various product codes anywhere?

  • Determining which version of OS 10.2  I have

    I'm sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum. I am going wireless and need to download OS 10.2.8 so I can load the software for airport express. Online it says I need OS 10.2.6. When I look up the info on my computer under the blue apple, it only says Mac OSX 10.2 (6C115). The kernel version is: 6.0:Sat Jul 27 21:18:52 2002 PDT root:xnu/xnu~344.obj~y.
    Does that mean I have 10.2.6? I know you techies might be laughing out loud, but I'm still new at all of this.
    Thanks.

    You have 10.2, (or 10.2.0 if you prefer to think of it that way), i.e., the first, unpatched version. The (6C115) is not the version, it is the build number. The output from uname Is Version: x.y.z, where the .z does not always appear, depending on the precise version. To get Mac OS X 10.a.b from that, you use
    <pre>
    a = x - 4
    b = y
    </pre>
    If you are on the Internet, you should be able to go to Software Update and let the system update to the latest version, or you can go to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ and download the package directly, at http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxupdatecombo10_28.html
