Which version of Outlook best?

I am new to Blackberry.  I have a Curve 8330 (V-Wrlss).  Desktop Manager ver. 4.3.0.17
My question is which version of Outlook works best for calendar synchronization?  2003, 2006 or 2007? Either way, I need to buy the software.  I will not be using the Outlook for my email as that is working great coming straight from server but only require it for my calendar.  I want to be able to sync calendar between my computer and my device.  Although I only will only need current calendar entries on my device, I would like to keep past history on my computer.
Thank you!

2003 or 2007 both work the same in regards to synching with a BlackBerry.
Do you have a Gmail account? If so you can use the Google Sync software (http://www.google.com/mobile/blackberry/sync.html) to sync your BlackBerry calendar with your Google Calender.

  • Which version of windows best for PS CS4/5 Camera RAW

We are adding a new windows workstation that will primarily be used for processing Canon RAW files using CS4 or CS5 Camera RAW followed by a PS action. We can pick the version of CS and have OS options as well. We will be processing thousands of files per day and want the best performance. I would like to go with a 64 bit workflow and am leaning toward Win7 64 bit with CS5. My IT dept has said that there are "known" issues with Win 7 and Camera RAW and offer 64 bit XP as an option. This is not my area of expertise. We mostly use Macs for this work but use PCs for one workgroup.
Is there a known issue with Win7 and Camera RAW and or Photoshop CS5 or CS4?
What is the optimum Win OS and version of PS and Camera RAW for maximum performance and hopefully stability?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
    --David

Windows 7 x64 is excellent for Photoshop and Camera Raw operations.  IT people are notoriously overconservative and tend to recommend XP.  That said, Windows 7 does take some tweaking and possibly some freeware add-ons to make it a really productive environment.
I'd suggest 8 to 16 GB of RAM and at least 4 processor cores.
Perhaps one of the more important aspects of operation is choice of the video card, and the stability of the video drivers.  The current versions of Photoshop use OpenGL heavily, and only very recently have video drivers begun to be stable with OpenGL operation.
Adobe lists the cards they've tested with.
My own experience is with ATI (specifically a Visiontek Radeon HD 4670), and while it's plenty fast and I've had reasonably good results with the latest drivers, it's now a bit dated and you should look to others to offer their experiences with other brands/models as well.
    -Noel
P.S., The 64 bit build of Camera Raw is quite a bit faster than the 32 bit build, insofar as it uses multiple cores to do the work, while the 32 bit build is limited to running on one core for some reason.

  • Dreamweaver and BC which version is best and how do I start a fresh clean slate?

To all Adobe Gurus who are willing to help,
I have had Creative Cloud for over a year and I have nothing to show for it. Mainly because I am overwhelmed with what to do. I went to school for design some time ago. I used Dreamweaver when it was still owned by Macromedia. I have had a hard time integrating back after so many years and this is all new to me. I have watched countless of tutorial videos both on here and lynda.com. I am lost. I can not find the answers I need?
I need to get help on building an e-commerce site. I used Muse first for design, then I was told that DW works best.
Which one? Seems I only can get something going on DWCS6 or DWCC,  but not DWCC14'
However, when I did start a site with DW CC,  I was prompted to import an entire site with the GET STARTED video that you use as beginners for BC, but I accidentally hit cancel.
Now, the site manager can see the name of the site. But I want to start a fresh new slate? Is it as easy as just deleting the local root folders? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall?
Nothing has gone remotely except for a template that is sitting still on the admin side of Business Catalyst.
I do like DW CC 14' newest features with the PSD comp and such. WOAH. But can I design a website and still integrate BC into it or how does it all work?
Can I start all over? Delete what I started and start fresh?
**Running MAC OS X latest version. I just want to know if I can start all over? Or which version of Dreamweaver should I use in order to get the best results?
Thank you kindly for reading and lending a hand. I sincerely would appreciate any leads or answers to these questions.

The template for ePub is for Pages 09 as are the instructions on that particular web page.
Have you tried looking in the Help  for Pages 5?  Here is the link to that particular subject when searching for ePub.

You have the option to get to the online help in Pages 5 Help menu.
If you have Pages 09 I suggest you use that app for your ePubs.

  • Which version of flash is best for brush strokes?

    Hello,
I am just wondering which version of flash has the best brush strokes. I am using CS6, and it constantly edits my strokes. I heard the older versions of flash have better brush strokes.
I am an animator, and the brush tool is something I constantly use. I might have access to flash CS3 or CS4, and I heard CS3 is pretty close to the macromedia version.
I heard toon boom animate is amazing, but when I tried it, there's no vector lines. Or maybe I am doing something wrong, but my strokes in toon boom animate are pixelated.
I'm basically looking for a version of flash or different software, that has a brush tool that when I draw, it's what I wanted to draw, and doesn't edit my strokes. (By the way, I'm doing frame by frame animation)
    Thanks,
    Porter

If you are planning an upgrade, Flash Professional CC 2014.1 comes with custom brushes, using which you can custom-make a brush that suits your drawing needs. You can read more about it at:
Flash Professional Help | Custom Brushes

  • Which version of sql server 2012 or 2014 is best for sharepoint 2013.. Any excellent comparision available please let me know..

Which version of sql server 2012 or 2014 is best for sharepoint 2013.. Any excellent comparision available please let me know..i mean enterprise version BI version or standard version.. i just need a detailed comparison if available please thank you

As of right this very second, SQL Server 2014 is not supported. SharePoint 2013 supports:
    One of the following:
The 64-bit edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
The 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1
Hardware and software requirements for SharePoint 2013
Edit: I may be mistaken. It looks like the April 2014 CU adds support for SQL Server 2014. If this is the case generally going with the latest SQL Edition provides you with the latest SQL functionality. I'm not aware of any SharePoint features that would
make use of functionality that is new to SQL Server 2014 but this could change with a future service pack.

  • Which versions of Window can perform best with CiscoWorks?

    Hi,
Please advice that currently we have 3200 logical devices configured on CiscoWorks and CiscoWorks is running very very slow. CiscoWorks installed on server with Windows Server 2003 32-bit and this version of windows it can only support RAM up to 4GB, which is already installed. In order to increase the RAM we have to upgrade the windows version as well.
Please advise that which versions of Window can perform best with CiscoWorks.  E.g. Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), Standard Edition 64-bit: or Windows server 2008 etc. Please advise us the full windows release version as we will upgrade windows as per your suggestion.
We are currently using the LMS 3.2, RME 4.3.0, CM 5.2.1

Please refer to the Installation Guide for Windows server requirements. Here is the link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/install/guide1/prereq.html#wp1099303
Given that you want to stay with Windows Server, Server 2008 Standard Edition with service Pack 2 would be your best choice.
NOTE that your should not (and cannot) use Server 2008 R2. That version in only supported with LMS 4.0.1. LMS 3.2 will not work with Server 2008 R2.
With a 64-bit OS, you can increase your RAM - which is usually constraining system performance on systems with 32-bit OS. I recommend just putting in 16 MB. Why skimp on $100 RAM with $20,000 software?
Your other alternative is to divide the server roles across several machines. That is a pretty complex task so I'd do the OS and RAM upgrade first and see how that helps you out.
Re "Linux" LMS 3.2 (and 4.0/4.0.1) is only supported on Windows and Solaris operating systems. Plus if you're not a Uniux admin, the learning curve can be steep for your first dip in the water.

  • Which version of Oracle database is best for Windows 7 Home Premium?

Any input as to which version of Oracle database is best for Windows Home premium? Is there a major difference between the express edition and 10g itself as far as the interface/learning purposes goes?

    EssbaseApprentice wrote:
Any input as to which version of Oracle database is best for Windows Home premium? That's easy to answer, none . No oracle database version was released for Home(Premimum) series. There are several blog posts/articles which do mention that they have installed oracle releases over Home(Premium) platforms but whether it would work or not, it would be just a lottery and help regarding troubleshooting would not be there.
Is there a major difference between the express edition and 10g itself as far as the interface/learning purposes goes? You mean 10g Express Edition and 10g Enterprise, Standard Editions? If yes, then there is indeed difference. The Express edition is more like a developer's playground with a good looking GUI even there to administer it. EE or SE are the production releases , meant for being used in a very busy, highly concurrent environments. There would be additional features like RAC and Dataguard that would come with EE and wont be there in the XE. So if you are learning to become a production DBA, you should right away use EE or SE IMO .

  • Which version of Photoshop Elements is best for for my old Mac G4 iBook?

Which version of Photoshop Elements would work on my trusty old Apple Mac iBook G4 14-inch laptop?
The newest Mac version of this application, Photoshop Elements 6, requires 64 MB of VRAM but my G4 only has 32 MB. (regarding other system requirements, my G4 has 768 MB of memory and a 1.2 Ghz processor, and runs Mac OS 10.4.11.)
My plan is to go to Ebay and buy some older version of Photoshop Elements but I wanted some direction as to which older version would be best.
    Thanks.

I have the same issue. My girlfriend bought Photoshop Elements 6, but her iBook G4, which is maxed out on conventional RAM, only has 32MB of video. She bought PE 6 as the Apple Store guy told her it would work on a iBook G4. He clearly did not realizing there were some  iBook G4's made with 32MB and some with 64MB of video RAM. But before we break the shrink wrap on the box, which would make it unreturnable, it would be nice to know if anyone has gotten PE 6 to run on a  iBook G4 with only 32MB of RAM. I'm more concerned with whether it works, than whether it is optimal. So, does anyone know if PE 6 will run on a iBook G4 with 32MB of video RAM?

  • Which version of Flash Player is best for Powerbook G4 10.5.8?

    Hi,
    I have a Powerbook g4 17" 1.67ghz with 2gb of ram and 128mb video.
I thought this would be pretty good on the web but even basic video clips play poorly.
Looking around flash seeems to be the culprit so is it better to run an older version of flash or is there anything i can do?
Also how can i tell which version i am running?
    Thnaks.

I'm afraid nothing will completely fix streaming video problems on any PPC-based Mac since web video is now optimised for Intel processors. Probably the best functionality you can hope for is by following Texas Mac Man's advice in this recent thread https://discussions.apple.com/message/17558876#17558876
The hack Tom has found has some advantages over the standard Flash Player version when used in conjunction with specific websites.
To find out which version of Flash you currently have installed open a Flash video stream and control click on the window. Amongst other things this will display the version information.

  • Which version of Windows is best to play pc games on MacPro using bootcamp?

I have a macpro and want to start playing PC games using bootcamp.  Which version of Windows (Vista or 7) is best for gaming?

It gets into more things, not to confuse but:
XP address 1.9GB which won't work iwth 1GB video cards
Windows 7 64-bit hands down. But if your game or you want and have dual processor, then Pro.
System Builder. No need for retail and costs 1/2.
Windows 8 Preview. Free and runs great but dont expect everything to work, especially any Apple software.
Windows 7 needs 50GB. Paltry amount for today.
Putting Windows on same drive? don't advise doing so. Besides clutter it would go to the inner slow tracks of drive platter.
    Windows 7 SP1 64-bit Pro System Builder ~$129
