Which version of SUN IdM support Remedy 7.0

Hi
We are currently using IdM 7.0 with Remedy 5.1.
I will like to know which version of IdM supports Remedy 7.0
Thanks

Hi,
As documented in the IDM v8.0 Release notes
Supported Resources
Help Desk
BMC Remedy Action Request System Server 6.0, 6.3, 7.0
BMC Remedy Service Desk Application 7.0
 Remedy Help Desk 6.0
NOTE Many substantial differences between Help Desk 6.0 and Service Desk 7.0 exist in
terms of their sample data, defaults, and out-of-the-box configuration. For example,
the name of the ticket schema in Help Desk 6.0 is HPD:HelpDesk, while in Service
Desk 7.0 it has been changed to HPD:Help Desk. Developers should consult the
Remedy product documentation for details when upgrading.

  • Which versions of Acrobat reader supports embedded Flash content?

I was wondering which versions of Acrobat supports Flash files (or Flash content) that might be found embedded within PDF files?
Specifically, does version 6, 7 or 8 have this capability?

The wikipedia entry for Adobe Acrobat says this regarding Acrobat reader version 9:
"Insert FLV (Flash) or H.264 video for direct playback in Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader."
The way I read that, it says that the ability to handle pdf files with embedded flash content was introduced with Acrobat reader version 9, and did not exist in earlier versions of Acrobat reader.
So are you sure that older Acrobat reader versions (specifically, version 6) is capable of correctly handling flash content embedded within a pdf file?

  • Which Version of Premiere Elements Supports Export to MP4 H264?

Which version of Premiere Elements started to support video export to MP4 using the H.264 codec for compression?

That's what I wanted to know thanks.  It's a really strange way to support that since you are forced to make an indirect association between a particular viewing device and a resolution and codec.
Is there any version of Premiere Elements that will let me create a custom export profile that I can name with important attributes like resolution and codec name?

  • From which version is `-instances=global' supported and on by default?

    Hello,
I've just found that library prelinking is not needed anymore, since -instances=global is on by default and supported. Now the question is if I remove all prelinking and -pto usage, which compiler version support will be broken? I'd like to at least support last three SunStudio releases (10, 9, 8).
    Thanks,
    Karel

Prior to Sun Studio 8, -instances=global was
difficult to use, since you had to ensure that every
needed template instance was generated once and only
once. If an instance was generated more than once,
the linker would complain about duplicate
    definitions.
Beginning with Sun Studio 8, template instances are
generated into a "comdat" address section. If the
linker sees more than one definition for the same
instance, it keeps one and discards the others.
We recommend that you use the default model -- which
is why it is the default. :-)
Remove all -instances and -pto options, (the -pto has
no effect anyway), and delete any existing
SunWS_cache directories.Could you be so kind and tell me versions strings of Sun Studio 8 compiler? I have SS10U1 here:
    -bash-3.00$ CC -V
    CC: Sun C++ 5.8 Build11_0 2005/05/31
    -bash-3.00$
    IIRC plain SS10 was `5.7', but I don't know if SS9 == 5.6 and SS8 == 5.5. That's needed to tweak our project configure scripts.
    Thanks,
    Karel

  • Sun Java Version Mgmt, Which Version, Deployment Methods

    All,
We are preparing to deploy the Enterprise Portal NW04s (7.0).  We've realized that we have many different versions of Sun/Microsoft Java deployed around the organization.  I'm looking for advice around a few questions.
    1.  Which version of Sun Java should we standardize on?  We're assuming the latest which is 1.6.0_03.
    2.  How have other organizations deployed this?  Batch scripts, logon scripts??  We do NOT have SMS or other deployment tools.
    3.  Is there a way to auto detect when launching the portal if someone has the right java JRE and if not to prompt them for an upgrade?
Thanks very much, any assistance is appreciated.

JVM of end users should not create trouble. Any JVM should do good in most cases. For portal users, browser version matters the most.

  • Sun IDM vs Oracle IDM

    Hi Everyone,
The current version of IDM we are at is 6.0. We are thinking of the following options:
    1. Upgrade Sun IDM 6.0 -- IDM 8.1
    2. Migrate to latest Oracle IDM.
Could someone please let me know the pros/cons in considering one over the other options?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
A very interesting question but not one that can be answered easily.
As Oracle is in the process of buying Sun then the future of both products is uncertain. Sun IDM might survive or Oracle IDM might survive or the future Oracle IDM product may be a combination of both. I do not believe that we will see a resolution to this for at least 6 months. Even then it will only be an annoucement.
I also do not see an major improvements in either product until there is greater certainty of what will be the future product.
For your particular circumstance I would upgrade from Sun IDM 6.0 -- IDM 8.1. The main reasons are as follows:
    - Software currency. IDM 6.0 is no longer supported.
    - The upgrade is free of licencing costs.
    - Improved functionaility of the latest version of Sun IDM.
    - Little training is required
Migrating to Oracle IDM would not be a trivial task and would probably include significant cost eg training, licensing and potentially hardware.
    I hope this helps

  • What version of SQL Server support ssl connection with TLS. 1.2 (SHA-256 HASH)

    Hi,
    I just want to know,
What version of SQL Server support ssl connection with TLS. 1.2 (SHA-256 HASH).
    if support already,
    how can i setting.
    plz.  help me!!!

The following blog states that SQL Server "leverages the SChannel layer (the SSL/TLS layer provided
by Windows) for facilitating encryption.  Furthermore, SQL Server will completely rely upon SChannel to determine the best encryption cipher suite to use." meaning that the version of SQL Server you are running has no bearing on which
encryption method is used to encrypt connections between SQL Server and clients.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_protocols/archive/2007/06/30/ssl-cipher-suites-used-with-sql-server.aspx
So the question then becomes which versions of Windows Server support TLS 1.2.  The following article indicates that Windows Server 2008 R2 and beyond support TLS 1.2.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/kaushal/archive/2011/10/02/support-for-ssl-tls-protocols-on-windows.aspx
So if you are running SQL Server on Windows Server 2008 R2 or later you should be able to enable TLS 1.2 and install a TLS 1.2 certificate.  By following the instructions in the following article you should then be able to enable TLS 1.2 encryption
for connections between SQL Server and your clients:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316898
    I hope that helps.

  • Which version of J2EE

I would like to run both client and server mode on my Desktop. Currently i have J2SE 1.5 jdk and can not run server mode. Can i run both modes with J2EE edition. Also there are at least two popular versions.
J2EE 1.4 SDK or JAVA EE5. - not sure which one to go for.
There seems to be a problem when i click on download J2EE1.4 SDK - it takes me to Fatal Exception page.
    Any suggestions are welcomed.

Your question is little confusing. Any J2EE server makes use of a JDK, and which version of JDK is supported by a particular appserver depends on that appserver. However, if you have a JDK installed in your machine, and of course you can make use this JDK to run J2EE appservers, and at the same time use the same JDK to run any other applications.
J2EE 1.4 SDK is the Reference Implementation of J2EE 1.4 Platform, which was released in 11/2003.
Java EE 5 is the latest version of J2EE (now renamed to Java EE) Platform, which as of now has not been fully finalized. Its Reference Implementation is based on glassfish open-source application server (see glassfish.java.net)
