Which web browser is better than opendoor??

I am in iran and here internet is filtered

What could be possibly better than an Apple product for an Apple product.
Actually there are various areas where Safari is defective compared to other browsers. For example it lacks the ability to override the fonts of a website with fonts of your own choosing. Also it cannot send a different language identifier for multilingual webpages without changing the language for the entire OS. Whether the defects matter depends of course on each user's individual requirements.

  • Which web browser to download For iPad

    Which web browser to download

    1. Any reason you don't want to use the built-in Safari Browser?
    2. What features do you need in the browser?  As that will be very important when suggesting one. i.e file uploading, download management, media playback options?
    3. This forum is for Safari on a Mac. I'll request your post be relocated to the iPad Forum.

  • How far Web service is better than RMI??

    Hi buddies,
can anyone pls tell me *"How far Web Services are more preferable than RMI?"*
i am totally confused of various kind of answers?
    thanx in advance.
    bye,
    subbu

RMI transmits objects via Serialization so is much more space and time efficient over a LAN.
Web Services transmits XML over HTTP so it can generally negotiate firewalls, which can be a major problem with RMI systems.
Web Services don't support callbacks or small transactions very well, where RMI does (firewalls permitting).
The security features built into Web Services or available via XML are superior to RMI over SSL in a number of ways.
Basically RMI is best where you want to export an extensive API via a LAN. Web Services are best when you want to export a few simple transactions via the Web.

  • Web pages don't render properly no matter which Web browser I'm using

I've run across a very curious issue - Web pages do not render correctly in either Internet Explorer (version 8, 9, 10, 11 - I've tried them all) or Firefox (latest version).
If I visit a Web page that contains a commenting system (Disqus, Facebook, etc.) none of the comments are displayed. Moreover, I've noticed that none of the Greasemonkey extensions (all JavaScript) that I've installed in Firefox run, either. I don't expect
an answer to the Greasemonkey extensions issue, but I think it helps to shed light on the overarching issue. Something seems to be blocking JavaScript but I can't figure out what it might be.
I've a Windows 7 Pro box with both IE and Firefox as well, and everything works fine on it - all Web pages render correctly.
    I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The suggestion provided by Dan Randolph is worthy to try.
I also suspect this could be css conflict issue.
Would you please try the compatible mode or lower document mode in IE 11 for testing?
Manage Internet Explorer 11 compatibility using document modes
    http://technet.microsoft.com/library/dn321432.aspx
Try F12 IE developer tool to debug the part of load CSS.
In addition, you may try to create a new user account for test. If it works, please refer to fix a corrupted user profile.
    Fix a corrupted user profile
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile
If creating a new profile doesn't help, it's probably an issue with that browser, you may check the Add-ons and IE Security zone settings.
Meanwhile, I would like to share the link below with you:

  • Which web browser is this forum aimed at?

Because I am having severe problems editing posts in Safari:
I get several page errors when creating a new post - for example, it keeps trying to load up the URL http://images/tabs/tab_end.gif, which seems to me like a web server config error, but perhaps it's Safari?
When I click the preview tab, it takes about 15 seconds to load. Clicking back on the compose tab does nothing.
Clicking on the text formatting buttons (e.g. bold, italics, underline) does nothing, regardless of whether I highlight the text first, or whether I click the button and then start typing - how is this supposed to work?
I can't get the quote or spell checking features to work either - again, the buttons don't do anything except bring up the expression "Run script void(0)" in the status bar.
I'm using Safari version 3.0.4 (5523.10.6). Is this the wrong version? Perhaps, there's something wrong with my settings (although this is on a fairly fresh install of Leopard with only the updates Apple provide).

    Hi Again m0thr4!
I couldn't find it in the Source either.
I looked at my Activity window as well, and it is there http: //images/tabs/tab_end.gif can't find host.
But I'm not experiencing any problems posting, so it isn't affecting anything.
May I ask, why you looked there?
And Thank You, for extending the courtesy, of awarding in  Discussions, as this is not a requirement, nor mandatory, but is much appreciated!

  • Does this version of Firefox include web browsing at the "User Agent" category or higher?

I just downloaded Firefox 5.0.1. for Mac because I have to fill something out on a website that requires that I have Firefox 2.0.0.12 Mac with web browsing capability at the "User Agent" category or higher for Firefox.
Do I have that with what I just downloaded? Need to know ASAP.
    Thanks!

Firefox 5.0.1 '''is''' higher than Firefox 2.0.0.12.
The '''UserAgent''' is a string of data which a web browser sends to each website to tell them which version of which web browser for user is using.

  • Mac get real slow after using web browser for awhile

Using internet does not matter what which web browser I use after just minutes especially playing  the browser runs extremy slow. I have 15" and 17" 4 gig memory on both macs and they both do the same thing, do not think it is the internet I get about 10 mg rate

Sorry, didn't want to post verbose instructions if they weren't needed. Let's go one by one:
Is he getting all the right IP information - IP/mask/gateway/DNS?
Go to a command prompt (Start/run, type CMD then Enter). Then type IPCONFIG then Enter. This will give you everything except DNS. Run IPCONFIG /ALL. Note the DNS server(s). Compare this output with your Mac (System Preferences/Network).
If so, from Terminal, ping the gateway, then DNS, then yahoo.com. Where/when does it fail? If it fails at yahoo.com, does it resolve the name to the IP address?
Whoops, my bad, Terminal is Mac. From the command prompt you're hopefully still in (if not, run CMD again), ping the default gateway listed in the IPCONFIG output from above (type PING followed by gateway address; looks like #.#.#.#) Successful? If so, ping DNS server from IPCONFIG /ALL output. Successful? If so, ping yahoo.com. First, does it resolve yahoo.com to an actual address (i.e. 68.180.206.184)? Do you get replies, or does it timeout?

  • Better than DVD-quality on .mac - but which size?

Hi, that was what Steve Jobs said that there is the possibility to have better than DVD-quality movies on .mac Is this only with HD-cameras and material because they can´t be burnt at that resolution onto a DVD? Or is it also true with standard cameras? And which file sizes are we are going to expect while up- and downloading such movies? Are they even playable for the average internet user?
Thanks in advance for clarifying - Christoph

Steve may have left out the word "current" when he mentioned better quality than a DVD.
DVD's (currently) use MPEG-2 format and only the newest players can handle high definition.
Your Web based files can use high definition formats. Just like those HD trailers at http://apple.com/trailers
You can also publish larger dimension SD video.
Obviously the file size of these larger dimensions would require a fast Internet connection and a very patient viewer.

  • Which browser is better to use as an option to Safari and how do you download it?

Which browser is better to use as an option to Safari and how do you safely download it? Thanks

I use Firefox when a site doesn't work well with Safari. Some people like Google's Chrome, but I find it too instrusive and do not trust Google's security. You can download Firefox from firefox.com.
