I can't select icloud backup on my iphone 5, i've got 4.5 gig of available storage and this just started 2 weeks ago, I've tried deleting a couple of apps, signing out, rebooting, all to no avail. The button stays grayed out and will not let me select. Any ideas on how to solve this?

iPad 1's can only be updated to IOS 5.1.1. The iPad 1 doesn't have the processing power to handle any higher.

On a MBP with Mavericks how do I get the Save As dialog box to open at the same size and place at which it was last closed and used to happen before Mavericks?

Before I upgraded my MBP to Mavericks, the Save As dialog box would reopen at the same size and position as it was when last closed. Now with Mavericks it always opens in the same position at a very small size. Is there a way to make it reopen at the last place and size at which it was closed?

I have resolved the issues presented without having to find and uninstall the Macromedia Flash Player 8.0 in order to get "Adobe Flash Player 10" playback of .swf files on my computer. When I begin this task, I expected to download an "Adobe Flash Player 10" as a player program download instead of the Internet Explorer and Firefox plugin that it appears to be.
This is what I did and what I believe I have:
1. I setup Internet Explorer 6 as my default browser and then used the following site to download Adobe Flash Player 10
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
2. As I had done before (and also suggested in another thread here), I went to Tools/Manage Add Ons and found Shockwave Flash Object, highlighted it, and clicked on Update Active X. Next, what I did not do before, I restarted the computer immediately after that.
3. Next, I set Mozilla Firefox as my default browser and then used the above site to download Adobe Flash Player 10 again.
4. With Firefox, the critical step included Firefox Tools/Options/Content with File Types (Configure how Firefox handles certain types of files) and the Manage Tab there. SWF Shockware Flash Object/Change Action/and dotting "use this plugin" - Shockwave Flash, followed by a computer restart got the job done.
Now, if I want playback of a .swf file, I can
a. Open With Internet Explorer (assumed with the Adobe Flash 10 "plugin")
b. Open With Mozilla Firefox (assumed with the Adobe Flash 10 "plugin")
c. Open With Macromedia Flash Player 8.0
I am satisfied with those results for my use. Any additional comments on the player vs plugin aspect of the matter would be interesting and helpful.

How can I click on 'new tab' and have all my frequent sites come up the way they used to?

In the old firefox, I would click on a new tab, and when the window came up it showed nine little pictures of my most used websites. Excellent feature that I loved!!! Installed the new version of Firefox on Friday, and now when I open a new tab I just get a blank page. This is REALLY going to slow down my work. If the new Firefox won't show me my windows, I'd like to go back to the old version.

What email program or email site do you want Firefox to fire up to send the message?
In the Preference dialog, you might be able to select the program from a list. In some cases, you need to take extra steps to add it to the list.

Only six forms can be open at the same time

I'm programming with oracle forms 9.0.2.11.0, DB Oracle 9i, VMS.
In my application it is nessesary to open more than six forms, which someone have relation to the same tables.
After open six forms, the message is show, no other forms can be open.
Why cann't I open more than six foms. Is there any restriciton in forms 9 or it is possible, that forms, which have relation to the same DB-Tables make the problem? Or is the query-mode or record-mode the problem?

are you working in the environment of a framework. Maybe there are some restrictions, which says: Max. 6 forms.
Try this: Create a form a.fmx with only a button in and the WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED
call_form ('B');Then duplicate this form, save it as b.fmx and change the triggercode to
call_form ('C');after several tries you have enough form to check your statement. It takes only 2-3 mins to do this.
If you now can open more than 6 forms, then your problem is in your application

Internet Explorer opens up sometimes, not always, when I open Firefox. I have Firefox set as my default browser. IE tries to open at the same time and slows my computer way down and it is slow to close.

IPhoto freezes when i open the app, each time it is open on the same photo and when i try to swap to another photo it freezes until i force quit the app.

I have recently come back from a trip to Venice, i uploaded my photos to iPhoto to view and edit them, half way through the photos from day three of my trip it has frozen on a particular photo. I force quit the app and then re open it and it is still on the same image with the exact same problem. I am now unable to view any photos of my trip as they're all on iPhoto and i cannot access the albums because they are stuck on this one photo. I need to be able to access them by 11th March because i have a project due in about our trip and we need to include the best of our photos and at the moment i am being stopped from even looking at them. PLEASE HELP!

What version of iPhoto?
Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

When I open iPhoto, the screen splits and has lines on it. Has it got a virus?

I have had problems with my Macbook Pro recently. There has been several occassions where the screen looks like it is split in half and has fuzzy lines all over it, and I am unable to move the mouse or control anything. The only way I can get rid of it is to restart the Mac completely. This has never happened before and the Mac is only two years old. I have worked out that it may be due to iPhoto, as it seems to happen not long after I open the application. Could it be a virus? Or is it anything else?
I have researched this lots but can't seem to find an answer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.... I need my Mac so much, like we all do haha!

This is not due to a virus, or any other kind of malware.
Most likely, that's due to a hardware issue with your graphics card. You need to contact Apple for evaluation.

Firefox won't open (in a new session) from email link. I have this issue on my Win 7 and XP computers.

If I open my email account (TBird) w/out opening Firefox, and then try to open a link from the email, Firefox will not open. I can't then go and open it from the desktop either. I used to go to Task Manager and close the .exe file," but MS has changed that so that I can't get into the "process" area. How do I fix this?
