While downloading adobe photoshop elements 12, it is wanting to download instant shield to remove adobe photoshop. I put no to not remove the software. Adobe photoshop elements will not open, what is the deal? I don't get it. Had no problems with Adobe premier, Help, was I suppose to remove the software? Makes no sense. I was trying to install the software.

Southern paperazzi have you contacted your I.T. department or disabled any security software which maybe preventing the installation from completing?

I have an iMac and have been having problems with Photoshop elements 11 while I am using a tool all of a sudden I hear a one time cricket chirp noise and then my keyboard wont type. It still shows that its connected, so its not bluetooth. It does not happen only in photoshop. I have contacted apple support and they took me through a few different troubleshooting methods and its still not working. My mouse still works but not the keyboard when I try to type (like to change the percentage of the size of image) I have to restart the computer and it works for a few minutes and does it again. HELP!

Error message while using Photoshop Elements 9

While using Photoshop Elements 9 I received the following error message:
Font Capture: PhotoshopServer.exe application error.
the instruction on 0x103e8453 refers to memory on 0x00000a74. The read & disk instruction ("read") on the memory has failed. Click OK to finish the program.
I use Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

In Photoshop Elements 8-I want the file name to show when viewing Thumbnails and not just dates.

In Photoshop Elements 8 i want to see the file names under the pictures when viewing thumbnails not just the date. Is this possible?

Anyway, if it's the organizer look under the View menu to enable the data that is shown under the thumbnails.

Hello Donna, sorry you are having troubles. I wanted to check that you have Firefox set as your default browser on Windows? We have an article here which walks through how to do this:

If you do have Firefox set as the default, it might be a registry issue which would need to be configured.

Error problem while installing Photoshop Elements 12

I received the combo pack of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 this Christmas. I started to install the cd onto my computer and entered the serial number for Photoshop. Midway while installing Photoshop Elements 12, my computer froze. I cancelled the installation and restarted my computer. When I tried re-installing Photoshop, I keep getting error applying transforms. Please verify special transforms paths are valid.
I tried Installing the Premiere Elements 12 and it installed fine. I just cannot get the Photoshop Elements part to work. What can do to rectify this? Thanks for any help!

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Hi,
You need to sign in when using Photoshop Elements 12 as it is the method of activation. If you sign out it deactivates that installation.

Can't get Photoshop Elements 12 to begin installing on my Windows 7 laptop - got software through Wacom?

Hey guys, bear with me here because I am the opposite of tech-savvy and I'm getting really frustrated. I can't find answers anywhere and nobody in my family has been able to help.
I recently bought an IntuosPro drawing tablet from Wacom - it came with the option to download a few different programs, including Photoshop Elements 12. I downloaded it through Chrome onto my (brand new) laptop, which has Windows 7 as the operating system. When it was done downloading, I got a zip file. (I'm literally going to list just about everything in the stupid thing) I opened it, and there were two files inside - "PhotoshopElements_12_All.7z" and "PhotoshopElements_12_All.exe". Double-clicking the second one gives me a pop-up saying "The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Photoshop Elements 12. Please download all parts." (Which made me download the whole thing again, only to get the same response and waste my second download - you can only download it twice off of Wacom.)
Opening the other file gives me two more folders - "PSE 12" and "ReadMe". Nothing in the ReadMe folder works. In the other folder there are 3 folders at the top ("ElementsOrganizer" "ElementsSTIInstaller" and "SupportFiles") then Data.cab files numbered 1-19, "Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.msi" (which takes me to the installation wizard thing but tells me there's an error "Please install/uninstall the product using Setup.exe in the root folder" (I don't know which one is the root folder but none of the .exe's I've found have worked) - all the .msi things do this.) then "ols_config.xml", "ols_config_education.xml", "Setup.ini", "lang.dat" a bunch of .mst files, and at the bottom, "Setup.exe"
When I click on Setup.exe, I see a flash of a little loading screen window, then it jumps to the "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to this computer?" or whatever pop up, I click yes, nothing happens. Pretty sure that's the place where something is supposed to happen, because the first response I've gotten from everyone in my family is to "click on the .exe file"
Am I missing stuff? Am I just really stupid and need to do *fill in the blank*? Is it a problem with Wacom? My computer?
Please just tell me how to make it work.

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
First you will have to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
Then you can install PSE from scratch.
