Are you using Webi from client (rich client) or through Infoview?
If client, you need DSN on client machine and if Infoview, you need it on server machine and that too 32-bits.

When Creating Customer I get this ERROR "Provide a positive integer for minimum customer balance amount or percent when balance amount overdue type is amount or percent respectively."
I tried troubleshooting when I saw the another post and created with a new customer profile class, but still getting an error, though I created another profile like below and attached this to another existing customer it worked, but when I tried creating a new customer it is still giving me the error. I am Using Oracle Applications R12.1.1
Steps I followed in Creating a New customer Profile
==== Make sure the new Customer Profile class which you will create is in active state. Cross check below steps while defining a customer Profile class.. e.g. Name : DEFAULT (and it's active)
*1) Profile Class Tab :*
a) Balance FWD Billing : Not enabled
b) Invoicing --> Tax Printing ( Summarize By Tax Name), Grouping Rule (DEFAULT)
c) Set Terms as per ur requirement , do allow discount & Override terms
d) Set Dunning as per your requirement,
e) Filled in Collectors info as per your requirement with Credit Check enabled...
f) Receipt --> Auto cash Rule set as 'Standard'..
*2) Late Charge Profile* Set it as per requirement
*3) Profile Class Amounts* e.g Say Currency set as "USD"
a) Credit Limit : 100000
b) Order Credit Limit : 100000
c) Minimum Receipt Amount : 1.00
d) Min statement amount : 1.00
e) don't put any value in Exchange Rate type (e.g, monthly, Plan etc..)
f) Minimum Customer Balance : Amount ------> Value: 5.00
g) Minimum Invoice Balance : Amount ------> Value: 5.00
h) Minimum Charge per invoice : 1, Maximum Charge per Invoice : 100 Under Interest Charge
i) mention Type as Fixed Rate, Value : 10
j) You can avoid setting the Penalty Charge for the time being..
Step-2_ a) Open a customer ..*go to Bill to site details* --> Click on Profile Tab --> Under Profile Class field please include new profile class which is created by you (e.g DEFAULT) . b) Go to Profile Amounts Tab --> Click(Show) on Currency USD --> Verify the set up here as well I could see this.
When I tried creating an new Customer using the new profile, it's repeating the same error. Please help.

You get this error when profile class amounts are not set for all the currency. Go back to your profile and ensure that the profile amounts are set for all the currencies found, whether you are using it or not.

Hi,
There are number of ways to do that :
1. Try this url
http://<host-name or IP address of XI server>:<java Port number)>/rep/start/index.jsp
If this is successful that means your J2EE server and services are fucntioning fine. The problem could then be on the ABAP stack.
2. Can you start visual admin tool and check that all the services are running. You might have to manually start those which have not automatically started. Check the connectivity with all system & server (inc n/w) & Register the hostserver entry in your sys32/ host file
e.g 10.2.4.56 <server name>
3. Have you download java sdk 1.4 on you laptop?

also have a look at this sap note: 801868
(make sure not to install the 1.5 version of JWS. XI does not work properly with the 1.5 version)
4. Lastly, u might have some problem with ur JRE installation. In that case i would sugesst you to re-install JRE/ Java WebStart.

Correcting the record from PSA is temporary solution depends on u r criticality....
Only Solution is to correct the record at source system level... Generally Material master data record is imp so just try to fix temporarily so that it vl not affect u r loads until it is corrected at Source System level..
Note: inform the problem to u r co-ordinator and try to correct it ASAP... and explain the temp solution(PSA correction)...

Active directory report getting Database Vendor Code: -2147217911

Hello,
I've created a report with CR 2008 to query some user names from Active Directory (Windows 2008 R2)
The report works fine on my computer (with my user)
works fine when I deploy it to BO XI 3.1.
But doesn't work when I schedule it.
I don't change the database logon user when scheduling. (it's the same when I run it online successfully)
I get the following error
Error in File ~tmp459c68e0c50eda0.rpt: Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: [Database Vendor Code: -2147217911 ]
what can I do?

So here is the answer,
I've forgot to uncheck save data with report. So the report was not working also on BO.
So with a domain user it has worked.

Create Expense Report ended with error

We are facing problem in Create Expense Report under Employee Self Service page.
But when we check this iview directly from Content Administration -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Employe Self Service -> iviews -> Travel & Expense -> Create Expense Report    -->>>>>>>>>>> it works fine.
As part of ESS/MSS post installation, we have done following activities ->
1. Created System in Portal pointing to backend.
2. Created Aliases -> SAP_R3 (set to default), SAP_ECC_TRAVEL and DV1CLNT311 (which is logical name of backend system).
3. Maintained Portal System -> ITS parameters
4. Maintained Portal System -> WAS Connection Parameters.
Connection test for Connector, ITS and WAS is working fine.
But accessing Create Expense Report from Employee Self Servcie page dumps, here is the error from defaulttrace file ->

Try this
1.To enter the tax amounts of the G/L account items, choose Extras ® Tax amounts. The Tax Amounts screen appears.
You can branch to this screen at any point during document entry.
The Tax Amounts screen shows the tax amount, tax code, posting key, tax base amount, and jurisdiction code for all the items already entered. When you call up this screen after entering the G/L account items, it displays the amounts that have already been entered.
2.You can now choose how you want to enter the taxes.
The tax jurisdiction codes represent the different taxing authorities to which you submit payment for taxes EG: the state, county, city etc.
In SAP you can have as many as 4 levels. Configuration is done in 2 steps :
First step :
The tax jurisdiction structure (structure of the tax code) is set up with following menu path :
IMG >Financial accounting> Fi Accounting basic settings> tax on sales/purchases > basic settings > specify structure for tax jurisdiction code.
Alternatively you can use t-code OBCO
This step allows you the enter the character length of your various level of hierarchy within your tax jurisdiction code structure (State 2 char, county 3, city 4, etc...).
Second step:
You configure the tax jurisdiction code using the structure defined earlier, menu path :

While trying to upgrade, I get this error message on the license aggreement window pup-up: The license folder for this version cvannot be found.

When prompted to upgrade, I get an error message on the License agreement pup-up window.
Consequenty, I connot continue with the normal aggrement procedure to accept and instal.

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

While generating the huge report getting Java Heap Space Error

Hi All,
We are using XML Publisher 5.6.2. we have to generate the huge report which contains more than 300 sql statements. Since our schema structure we can not reduce the queries. Now we are facing issue while generating the report. It takes lot of time and gives 'java heap space error'. We are using data template and RTF template for generating excel report.
Can anybody help me to resolve the issue? or is there any other way to generate the huge reports?

I had seen the forum, but we had already adjusted the parameters in the oc4j "-XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Xmx512m" values to 4096. but still we are getting the java heap space error. since we increased the size of xmx value, XML Publisher occupies 61% of memory of the server. B'coz of this our other applications are getting affected.
and also, since we are using XML Publisher 5.6.2, can you please assist us how to set the scalable property to 'true'.

Refresh the WebI report getting the Error

Hi Friends,
I have installed the BO4.0 sp2.Previously I created reports and refresh the reports are fine.few days back i am getting error once refresh the report. the error is:
Caused by: com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.ServerException: The database SQL generation parameters file could not be loaded (MS Access 2007, ODBC) .
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.newServerException(CommonRequestHandler.java:260)
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.createAllServerExceptions(CommonRequestHandler.java:238)
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.afterProcessing(CommonRequestHandler.java:121)
Can any one please suggest me solution.

When Tomcat is stoped and restarted or application server reload is triggered, the standard Manager implementation will attempt to serialize all currently active sessions to a disk file located via the pathname attribute.All such saved sessions will then be de-serialized and activated when the applications server reload is completed.
To resolve the issue
Below changes need to be done on the server machine where Tomcat is installed:
1.Stop Tomcat.
2.To prevent the creation of the sessions.ser file which stores the content of the sessions、Make the change below (uncomment one line) in the file Tomcat55\conf\context.xml

3.Check if the file 「session.ser」exists in the folder「\Tomcat55\work\Catalina\localhost\AnalyticalReporting」and if so delete it.
Start Tomcat.
Restart the SIA.

Crystal Reports 2008 database error

I want to make a change to an already existing Crystal Report. The database table(s) were specified with the "add Command" command and so the report uses an SQL command to access the tables. (An ODBC connection is used to access tables.) When I go to the database expert and edit the "Command", make a change (or no change for that matter) and click save, I get the following error message:
Invalid Argument Provided.
Details: The alias requested 'Command', contains a combination of characters which is not considered to be valid.
I know a similar error occurred in an earlier version of Crystal, but please note I am using Crystal Reports 2008. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone know a fix or workaround?
