How can I reverse/change this? Reinstalling the application does not clear the error, so I'm assuming the association is somewhere in Firefox.

Never mind -- I just found it under Tools/Options.../Applications, where I changed the incorrect association of "nlmcp" from Windows Media Player to the correct one, NetLibrary Media Center. Done!

Just to clarify:
Does Aperture not see the drive at all (that is, does Aperture also not see the drive in the import and export dialogue) or are only the Master Files disconnected?
If Aperture does not recognize the drive at all, check the permission settings of the drive in the "Get Info" panel and make sure you have read/write access, also the "Ignore ownership on this volumn" checkmark, this should be set.
If correcting the permissions does not help, make sure you have a backup, and then use "Disk Utility" to run a check and to repair the volumn, if necessary.
If Aperture can see the drive on import and export, but only does not see the master image files, then try to reconnect your masters.
Create a smart album or use a Search with the rule: "File status: offline", to select all images that need reconnecting to their masters.
Right click on the first image of the selection.
From the Pop-up window select "Locate referenced Files..."
Now the "Reconnect All" button should appear.
Click it.

Just got automatically installed the latest 6.22 version of skype few minutes ago and I got a few questions.
First and foremost, how can I MANUALLY change the height of the textbox, where I type the messages. I would like to make it larger, like in the previous versions of skype. I don't want to move my mouse cursor through the entire monitor to reach this tiny textbox.
And second, why you guys are trying constanly to ruin something that is working perfectly ? Going to revert to the previous version until you fix all these nuisances.

There is no way to do this, it is designed to be strictly landscape with keyboard, portrait without - not the best thought-out phone on the market, mainly geared towards compulsive texters and e-mailers.
There's no way to know whetherNokia will change this with any future updates, perhaps you should make the recommendation to them directly using the 'contact us' link.

You can not change it on the export...this is simply set to whatever is in effect in the DB.
However, it is totally unnecessary to change it on export. If the database into which you need to import the exported application is "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental", at the time you begin to import, it will default to "ISO-8859-1 - Europa Ocidental". You need to change this to the character set under which it was exported. In this case, it was "Unicode UTF-8".
It does not matter that you export and import in the same character set. It only matters that you correctly set the import to match how it was exported.

First, prior to connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and disable automatic syncing (iTunes>Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"). Now connect your phone, when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on its name and choose Restore from Backup. When done, you can go back and re-enable automatic syncing if you prefer this.

a) again, I never make it to an error code
b) I'm definitely connected to the internet
c) I can access secure sites; I tried connecting with the firewall disabled and the same thing happened, so I don't believe it's a firewall issue.
d) I don't understand the checking host sites - this is far too complicated for a novice user. It should not be this difficult to get a software running. I don't want to mess with these kinds of settings.
e) I followed the steps for the global sign in root CA and my screen looks the same as the picture here.
I can't activate the software offline as there is no option to generate a response code when I click on having trouble connecting to the internet. All I get is a prompt to change my password.
If the problem were simply connectivity from my computer, then why does the box completely freeze? Can't cancel, can't click on the little X to close it, can't right click on the box to close it. Thanks for the info. - I now know that deletion works both ways!! - (unlike POP where emails deleted from the ipad also deleted them from the mac even before I could read them, whereas emails deleted from the mac were not removed from the ipad!!! - ie. the ipad was the master over the mac - the slave). Prior to changing to imap I used to transfer all nongarbage emails from inbox to mailboxes before my husband could ask if he could delete emails on his ipad. I have noticed however if you do this in imap, they are removed from the inbox on the ipad as well (this did not happen with POP). So we still have to check but the number is less so we like imap better than POP.

I tried to open a file using reader 10. Now reader has taken over all my apps including explorer and live mail and nothing will open unless I uninstall reader. System is windows 7. How can I reverse this?

I was trying to open a file, the box came up saying that windows could not open the file and choose another program to open the file, I chose reader as it was the first option offered. Reader could not open the file either but when I closed the file I fount that nearly all the desktop icons had changed to reader icons and when I tried to open them a box comes up advising that reader cannot open that file. The only way that I can open my apps is to uninstall reader. When I uninstall reader the Icons return to normal. As soon as I re install reader all my icons change back to reader icons. How can I reverse this?

I fixed the To: autofilling incorrectly by deleting my email address from the Previous Recipients List, but is there a way to stop that from coming up on emails that I receive?

Have you checked your Mac address book? If your email is saved somewhere in your address book with the name "Holidays in the United States" it might be adding the name automatically in Mac Mail.
Alternatively, try this:

To remove an email address from the auto-complete list in Mac OS X Mail:
Start typing the recipient's address or name in a new message.
Select the desired address from the auto-complete list as if you'd compose an email to them.

Can you be clearer about what you're seeing? The price should be clearly stated up front... Is that not the case? Note that there may be additional taxes that will increase the final price, and that can't be included in that up-front listed price, since taxes are different everywhere.
