While installing OBIEE on linux box

Hi,
while installing OBIEE on linux box i am getting below error
./setup.sh
Unable to load the launcher file index. Cannot open launcher file.
can any one let me know how to reslove this issue...

I could not find a trail version for LINUX.
Its only available for Windows and mac.

Error during configuration process while installing obiee 11.1.1.7.0 in windows server 2012

HI..
I'm having an issue while installing obiee 11g(11.1.1.7.0) in windows server 2012 and using the database as ms sql server 2008. During configuration process after the installation process is completed , here the process is stopped at "Step:executing opmnctl start configuration_obisch1" status "failed"
Here is the error:
Error
    opmnctl task failed
    Step Executing: opmnctl start coreapplication_obisch1 failed
    Configuration Action "Executing opmnctl start coreapplication_obisch1 " has failed. please check log files...
any help would be great

I tested also disabling antivirus on my PC and disconnect the power cord before starting the installation of JDeveloper. In both tests the result was the same.
Some additional recommendations to solve this case.

What step are you seeing this error (in the log) during your installation? Do you have 64 bit Windows 7 Professional and above? Please provide more details about the steps you took before seeing this error. Provide all the details you think might be necessary for someone here to be able to pin-point the issue.

You mean you want to install the software in D: drive, if yes then ya you can install it in any Drive you want. You need to specify that path as where you will be installing for eg: D:\MW_HOME

While installing SOA on linux machine. I am facing issue with kernel properties in Prerequisite section.
So i tried to run rpm package : " libaio-devel-0.3.106-3.2.i386.rpm " on my machine,
through command : rpm - ivh libaio-devel-0.3.106-3.2.i386.rpm
I am getting Error message is :
warning: libaio-devel-0.3.106-3.2.i386.rpm: Header V3 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID e8562897: NOKEY
error: Failed dependencies:
libaio.so.1 is needed by libaio-devel-0.3.106-3.2.i386

We have the same problem with OIM 11.1.2 on Solaris SPARC 10 - just after extend WLS domain to OIM & SOA servers AdminServer fails to start with message "syntax error at line 30: `JVM_TYPE=$' unexpected"
It seems like uncompatibility of file $DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setOIMDomainEnv.sh and Solaris systems... :-(
I changed *$DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setOIMDomainEnv.sh* : instead of

Error while installing OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on Linux

Hi,
I am trying to do OBIEE 11.1.1.7 Enterprise install on a Linux server. When I run the installer, after specifying install location, when I configure the components(Select BI Enterprise Edition, BI Publisher) I get error as ORACLE_HOME variable is already set and I should remove it first and run the installer again.
It already has Oracle 11g DB installed and the ORACLE_HOME variable points to that location. How to solve this?

Getting error while installing UCM in Linux

Hi All,
I'm trying to install UCM in Linux system.
I installed OHS(Oracle Http Server) and also installed RCU.
While installing the UCM it taking all the inputs and while installing folder structure after that it's trying to start the server. that time it's terminating the process and giving message like Unable to start server at /u01/oracle/UCM/server/.
Please help me on this issue..it's very urgent.

While i'm installing the web server up. There is no log files are created of UCM because that UCM installation not installed..It's terminated in starting stage only.
When installation is terminated it showing Unable to start server at /u01/oracle/UCM/server/.

Problem in installing Agent10 on Linux box

I have tryed to install Agent10g on a linux box abd tryed to connect it to the OMS running on Windows XP. I choose the installation option agentDeploy option by running agentDownload.linux it worked fine by downloading all the files and used the silent installation option to install the Agent by running the command

the above command executed fine and asked me to run root.sh file as "root" I did that and installation was successful, but I could not find anything in /uo1/app/oracle/product/ folder as I supposed to see instead i see a new OracleHomes folder in /scratch/OracleHomes/agent10g. I could not find any reason for this is there anything worng with my installation and if the installation was fine how can start the agent on Linux.
PLease let me know if am missing anything.

The etc/hosts file needs to be changed from 127.0.0.1 host to the physical IP address before the start of the installation of 11.1.1.5.
