  • EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK is empty - LSMW with BAPI

    Hi everybody!
I'm trying configure a LSMW with BAPI, but when I try to do the step "Start IDoc Generation" I receive the message "EDI_SEGMENTS_ADD_BLOCK is empty".
I already configured the Ports, Partner Type and Partner Number, but I am still receiving the message.
    My Example Scenario is:
    - A test LSMW to change flight table using the BAPI "BAPI_FLIGHT_SAVEREPLICA".
    - The Port is FILE type and the file is local (PC).
    -The Partner Type is LS.
    - The Partner Number is using FLIGHT_SAVEREPLICA message type in Inbound parameters.
Anybody knows the possible cause of this?
    Tks

After search I tried many things to solve it, in the end I just rebuild the LSMW step by step again and the problem does not appeared again...

  • How to do the lsmw with bapi?

    hi

how to do the lsmw with bapi? pls could u give the steps with scren shot to me.
    regards
    eswar.

    Hi
BAPI - BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces) are the standard SAP interfaces. They play an important role in the technical integration and in the exchange of business data between SAP components, and between SAP and non-SAP components. BAPIs enable you to integrate these components and are therefore an important part of developing integration scenarios where multiple components are connected to each other, either on a local network or on the Internet.
BAPIs allow integration at the business level, not the technical level. This provides for greater stability of the linkage and independence from the underlying communication technology.
LSMW- No ABAP effort are required for the SAP data migration. However, effort are required to map the data into the structure according to the pre-determined format as specified by the pre-written ABAP upload program of the LSMW.
The Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) is a tool recommended by SAP that you can use to transfer data once only or periodically from legacy systems into an R/3 System.
More and more medium-sized firms are implementing SAP solutions, and many of them have their legacy data in desktop programs. In this case, the data is exported in a format that can be read by PC spreadsheet systems. As a result, the data transfer is mere child's play: Simply enter the field names in the first line of the table, and the LSM Workbench's import routine automatically generates the input file for your conversion program.
The LSM Workbench lets you check the data for migration against the current settings of your customizing. The check is performed after the data migration, but before the update in your database.
So although it was designed for uploading of legacy data it is not restricted to this use.
We use it for mass changes, i.e. uploading new/replacement data and it is great, but there are limits on its functionality, depending on the complexity of the transaction you are trying to replicate.
The SAP transaction code is 'LSMW' for SAP version 4.6x.
Check your procedure using this Links.

  • LSMW with bapi BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE

    Hi
I'm creating an LSMW for create purchase requisition with Bapi (BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE)
I'm trying to upload 2 items for a PR but the LSMW is creating 2 PR with each item.
How can I tell to the LSMW that I have to item for the same PR?
Remember this bapi doesn't has header.

    Hi,
you need to define hierarchy in your in put file to merge required lines into one BAPI call. You can find some examples how to create order with multiple items (for example [this one|http://www.scribd.com/doc/6646673/Lsmw-With-Bapi]). So you can easily adapt it to your BAPI.
    Cheers

  • LSMW using BAPI method for ME21N

    Hi to all,
I am using LSMW BAPI method for the transaction ME21N Iam able to post a PO document successfully, But in my flat file I have a header and followed by item in the same line, while I was posting with same header for different line items its posting different PO's for different  line items but suppose it has to post one document with multiple items.
My flat file fields are like this : (where as ABCD my header and rest are line items) I am using only one structure 'podata' in LSMW and I am not using any identifier.
    header--Line items
    A B C D S P Q W E X
    A B C D 1 D 3  F K L
    Business Object -     BUS2012
    Method                -    CREATEFROMDATA1
    Message Type    -    PORDCR1
    Basic Type         -     PORDCR101
As per my requirement if I have multiple line items for the same header then only one PO should be posted.
Could you suggest me, How can I achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Lahari

    Hi Jurgen,
    Thanks for your reply.
As poer your suggestion, I passed my flat file data into a single file and in the begin of transaction, I divided the data into 2 structures as Header & Item.
Still I am unable to achieve the desired results, can you please elaborate more on how SAP internally joins the structures again.
To be more clear my flat file data look like this :
    217836     NB     1826162667     0127     00   1     LEAN SIX SIGMA PRIMER     MRO     Z     4.00     EA     60.00     1     EA
    217836     NB     1826162667     0127     00     2     LEAN SIX SIGMA PRIMER     MRO     Z     4.00     EA     860.00     1     EA
    217836     NB     1826162668     0127     00     1     LEAN SIX SIGMA PRIMER     MRO     Z     4.00     EA     160.00     1     EA
    217836     NB     1826162668     0127     00     2     LEAN SIX SIGMA PRIMER     MRO     Z     4.00     EA     560.00     1     EA
The bold ones being header and the remaining Items, the underlined field is PO number.
In normal process this file is considered to have 4 records, and tries to create 4 PO's.But my requirement is to create only 2 PO's with 2 items each.
    Thanks.

  • LSMW with BAPI for Person's Qualification Profile - BAPI_QUALIPROF_CHANGE

    All,
I tried to use BAPI 'BAPI_QUALIPROF_CHANGE' to upload the qualification profile for an employee. The corresponding object type for the function module is BUS7017 (& the method is CHANGE). But in standard SAP, in the initial LSMW attributes screen, it supports only those objects with an ALE interface. But, BUS7017 does not have an ALE interface.
It is possible to create an ALE interface for a BAPI in the transaction 'BDBG'. After creating an interface, I get the business object in the F4 help for the Business object (LSMW attributes screen). But, I get an error in the step 'Maintain structure relations'. It is saying 'target structure could not be found'.
Can you please tell me what I am missing here. Also let me know how to generate a function module for the inbound/outbound processing of an ALE with BAPI?
    Thanks in advance.

    Parvath.

  • I::001 Win32 error 2 while using document bapi methods

    Dear colleagues,
I'm using SAP .NET Connector for integration between .NET application and SAP System.
When I try to work with standard document bapi methods like BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE (with defined filepath for a document in file table parameter), BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN or BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEW, I get an error in out RETURN parameter - "I::001 Win32 error 2: The system cannot find the file spe".
When file path is not defined in BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE everything works OK and information about the document successfully appears in SAP system.
When I test BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE or BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEW in SAP GUI with same parameters, RETURN parameter shows no errors.
Does anybody know what can be a reason of this problem? Please, help if you know how to solve this issue.
If this forum is not a right place for such question. please tell me, where I can get any information about this issue.
    Best regards,
    Andrey Kim

Hello, Yann ) Of course, I can find another way, but for a few reasons I need to use these standard bapi methods for checkin and checkout documents. I want to investigate, what am I doing wrong here)
I've found the reason of this stupid error - I just didn't know SAPHTTP.exe and SAPFTP.exe files should be copied to system32 or application's bin folder. After doing that this error disappeared.
But then I've got another error, which was exactly described in https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/885058
I receive an error message from SAP when I'm trying to call bapi_document_checkin or bapi_document_checkoutview methods.
I've copied last versions of librfc32.dll, librfc32u.dll and ICU libraries to my windows\system32 folder and to my application's bin folder also, but I still receive the same error message
I didn't work with SAP before, so that is my first experience. Can anybody help or explain, what exactly should I do with RFC and ICU libraries to avoid this error?
Is it necessary that rfc libs' versions on my client machine were the same as rfc lib's on the machine with SAP system?
I'll be grateful for any assistance in this question.

  • Export failing with "The user does not have the required rights to perfrom

We are testing an upgrade to BOXI 3.1.  We use the CrystalReportViewer .net web control to view the report.  When the export button is clicked and the Crystal Reports file format is selected, the following error message is displayed:
"The user does not have the required rights to perfrom this operation. Please contact your administrator. "
Notice that perfrom is not spelled correctly.  This is what actually gets displayed.
I'm not too concerned about the spelling, but I do want to fix the error.  So I checked the security on the folder and the user does have full control.  Both advanced security options are selected:
-View document instances that the user owns
    -Export the report's data
So what else could be causing this?

I had applied the full control access to the wrong group.  Once I applied that access to the user that actually generates the report, it worked.
