I recently purchased an iPhone 5c and for some unknown reason I can't connect to my wireless router's network at home. I've tried establishing a seperate IP address, manually adding the iPhone device, and even spent an hour with Centurylink's IT support and they couldn't figure it out. They said it was an iPhone error. I had an iPhone 3 about 1 1/2 years ago that had the same problem. I ended up getting rid of the phone because I couldn't solve this problem before. I thought a newer phone would not have the same problem.
My phone shows that I'm connected to my home internet, but when I open up network information for my home internet there is no IP Address listed. Safari and my other apps also state that I'm not connected to the internet. I'm ready to sell my phone back and go to an Android since I didn't have trouble connecting with it before. We also have a Macbook and iPad that both connect to the internet just fine. Please....oh please help.

I downloaded Lion on my iMac. It apparently cleaned out the hard drive. Nothing shows up from before. It looks like a brand new computer. It is backed up on Time machine. Any idea of why this happened and suggestions on restoring? Thanks.

I downloaded Lion on my 4 yr old iMac. The download stalled at the last minute so I clicked "CANCEL". When it was restarted, Lion was there, with no apparent option but to go ahead and install so I assumed it was okay. Didn't transfer data from "another computer" when prompted - assumed it would transfer from that computer. It apparently cleaned out the hard drive. It looks like a brand new computer. I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

This morning the computer did not boot, so i went down to apple store and they looked at it and said its a logic board failure and needs replacement worth £350. The tech at apple store gave no explanation, why suddenly, my computer decided not to start at all and said to me it was a logic board failure for no apparent reason and requires replacement. I have maintained the laptop in a pristine condition. Now I feel I have been cheated. This clearly means the product is substandard as a £1100 laptop is not expected to fail in just over a year. My last laptop PC which was worth £450 served me for 4 years before it crashed and lived for another 2 years until I decided to get a mac. This is ridiculous. I don't have apple care at the moment which translates as pay to get it fixed. Anybody in my situation ? I want to sue apple for selling me a substandard good . Any thoughts? Should I go for another pc for £500 because there is no guarantee even after the laptop were fixed by apple for £350 it would last for another year. I need a reliable machine.

This is Brian Wood's instruction about completing the Word Press installation process...
A last part of the install process is to run the WordPress install script. This will complete the WordPress setup by connecting WordPress with the database you created.
With the WordPress files copied to the correct location in the htdocs folder, the web server installed, and a database created, open a browser and browse to http://localhost/wp-admin/install.php.
A screen telling you to create a configuration file will appear. Click the Create a Configuration File button.
Click the Let’s Go button to go to a page that allows you to enter your database information.
Type your database name, wordpress.
Type your MySQL user name and password (usually the user name and password are both admin, unless you changed them in the database).
For the Database Host type localhost.
Click Submit (see Figure 4).
After all of this I am getting nothing. The MAMP server is running. My database is setup. The WordPress files are located in the correct location, yet when I attempt Live View I get nothing but a blank screen.
Can anyone offer help with this problem?

It looks like the Book of Sark gallery has photos in a bin folder. Some servers don't like that, but it could be a clue for the ISP.

OM infotypes not updated with relatioship.

Hi Experts,
I made one LSMW to upload info types 0000 (Actions) and 0001 (Org Assignment) using batch input recording method and successfully updated PA infotypes and verified OM info types 1001 (Relationships) for those positions (S) which I assigned new holders (P).
But OM not got updated and is not showing the holder in those positions which I executed action.
Can any tell me why it has not updated OM.

u2022     RHINTE00 - Transfer PA Records To PD Positions. In another world, it creates the HRP1001 between P to S in the OM side of the world. When you view a record via IT0001, you see this person holds the position, however via HRP1001, that relationship isnu2019t so.
u2022     RHINTE10 - Generates the required relevant tables. (T513 - Jobs, T513S - Jobs, T528B - Positions, T528T - Work Center, T527X - Org Unit
u2022     RHINTE20 - checks for all objects for integration between PA and OM. This is a big one and will take awhile to run. What it does is look at table T513/T513T - Jobs, T528/T528T - Position, and T528X - Org Unit. It will then compare it against the HRPxxxx table to find missing objects. If there are any missing objects, it will create the record.
u2022     RHINTE30 - Transfer OM to PA. This will create infotype 0001. If the conversion strategy is to have SAP auto inherit factor to kick in for IT0001, often time jobs and org unit are missing via IT0001 during the inital conversion load. RHINTE30 will find the relationship and push it through IT0001.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue. I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone. In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan.

New E-mail Badge number not updated with new mail in folders (iPhone 4S)

I setup my exchange e-mail to push certain folders as well as my inbox but only my inbox mail will update the badge number. If I get mail in a folder the phone just vibrates and shows the notification but the badge is not updated. Seems kind of pointless to have the mail pushed if the badge isn't updated as well. Is there a way to change this or a reason why it is not updating? And yes I have all the options to allow the badge to be shown, also show in notification center, show in lock screen, etc. It was working with 7.0.3, but after I updated it, I realized it stopped working. Any ideas?

So i pretty much got ticked at my iphone. Not only was my "sent folder" not updating, the new 2.0 was crashing and hanging all my applications. e-mail photos wont send, got error messesges , at least every application crashed at some point in the last week, even after i did a restore and back-up. SO pretty much i restored to factory out of the box settings and just started as a "new iphone".
as for the whole "sent folder" not updating. I changed the setting to download "Last 200" messeges. Then i kept updating until all 1,000 messeges were downloaded. After that point my iphone would update whenever i sent new messeges. But it would take forever cause it was checking against a 1,000 e-mails for new ones.... SO i give up, i just dumped all my "sent e-mails" to a new folder called "sent archives" ( u can call it whatever u want). I think this is the easiest fix for now.
if i get any more issues.. i'm just gonna go restore my phone back to the software rev before 2.0 came out....

Facetime only works via WiFi. Are you trying to set up Facetime with a T-Mobile account?

I have an iphone 6 plus and have completed all the updates. However I still cannot use voice texting. I have Uconnect on my vehicle. I have read you do not have to turn on MAP it automatically turns on with bluetooth.

If both files are held locally on the computer it looks like there is no problem however if you try and do it though icloud (ie your docs are saved on icloud) you dont get the "source" oprion besides the graph etc. Is this a but or a broken function due to the new implementation of icloud.

After refreshing my Podcast list, some Podcasts with new episodes do not display the "Unplayed" blue dot.
If the podcast "folder" is expanded by clicking the triangle, the new episodes are shown with a "Unplayed" blue dot.
A new episode is shown in the My Podcast view, with the correct number of new episodes.
The new episodes are displayed in the All Unplayed view.
I've tried deleting all episodes and downloading new episodes from the iTunes Store.
I've tried Unsubscribing and deleting the podcast, then Subscribing again from the iTunes Store.
Neither attempt resolved the issue.
I've seen this issue for a while, and was disappointed to find no change with the iTunes 11.3.1.2 update.
