usb to usb does not work nor does the tornado device - that is - so far - just pc to pc.

FireWire between the two (get appropriate 800-800 or 400-800), Target Disk Mode on the old one, appears as an external disk on the new one. Drag everything over, or use Setup Assistant if first start of new one, or plain old Migration Assistant. You really don't need a display to see a prancing FireWire icon, do you?

If you've just added an address to your account then it will be an alternate/secondary email address, a rescue email address can only be added by answering 2 of your security questions. If you already had one on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email addressthen you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Can't edit email saved in draft or figure out how to send it from there

I wrote up an email yesterday and saved it in the drafts folder since I didn't want it to go out until today. When I go in to drafts in Mail I can see the message as I left it but I can't figure out how to send it from there. I also tried to make a quick change and it wouldn't let me do that either. There is a jpeg attachment in the email but I don't see why that would prevent me from editing the message. Any help would be appreciated.

That's what I thought I was supposed to do but double-clicking wouldn't do anything. I just solved the problem somehow by moving the message from the drafts folder to the sent folder and back to drafts again and then the double-click worked and I was able to send it. Not sure what the problem was but thanks for the quick reply.

I will give it a try. Close the iBooks app and reboot the iPad.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Help, I was working on my pc partition, using quick books and my machine suddenly freaked out. Screen is dark, backlit keyboard is lit and it is emitting a LOUD humming/buzzing. There are many ways to back up photos and contacts on an iPhone:
Photos - copy them to your computer with a USB cable; the phone will appear in Windows or Mac as a digital camera.
Photos - Enable Photo Stream, which saves them to iCloud and syncs to your computers(s)
Contacts - set to sync to any contact app on your computer (e.g., Outlook, Address Book)
Contacts - Enable sync to iCloud. This is real time and will always be up to date
Everything on the phone (including contacts and photos) - Back up to iTunes on your computer
Everything on the phone - Back up to iCloud
All of these are described in the manual.
If you did not do ANY of these then the contents are already lost.

Try a second reset by holding the top and home button until you see the apple logo. If the screen still doesn't work, you should try to restore the phone.
When you plug the phone into iTunes, is it recognized? If so, you can restore the phone from the summary tab. If a restore from backup doesn't work, try a restore to factory default settings. If still a no-go, Applecare or the Apple store should be contacted/visited to get a replacement, as long as the phone hasn't been damaged.
If you decide to go to the Apple store, make sure you make an appointment with a Genius before going to make sure they will meet with you.

I'm lovingthe apple. and I have restored and installed with the disk utilities mac osx leopard.in the ipod of 30 gb is fine throughout. then. I start the Mac from the iPod. and start uploading. after climbing .. Light turns off the screen. Back. the menu is theinstallation of mac osx the pc is on. but the light is off .. not because if she worksfine and normal ... only me off when I go to format ..

I plugged my iPod in to my iHome today and the screen made a flash like picture. I pressed the center button again and again, and it wouldn't work still. My iPod was on and had full battery and the screen still wont light up. I just tried plugging into my laptop and its been there for an hour. Same results, what should I do? Right now I am fairly disappointed with apple.
