While on Farmville....

While playing Farmville,
this pops up.
Troubleshoot a problem with Adobe Flash Player.
It then gives me steps to uninstall flash player, and then to install the latest update. I just did an update. This pop-up
is a windows box. Any ideas on what to do???

Hi, If you would go up to Help and click on About Internet Explorer this should tell you what version if IE you are using and also what edition of Vista.
Using IE, go to your Manage add ons and search ALL add ons for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control..Flash10.e.ocx (version 10.0.45.2) and make sure it is listed that way and it is Enabled. I need that info.
Other than the pop up box that you receive, what other issues are you having?
Thanks,
eidnolb

• My computer freezes or locks up while playing Farmville and Frontierville using Firefox.

My computer freezes or locks up while playing Farmville and Frontierville, on Facebook using Firefox. Was getting message Flash player crashed, but now just freezes. I can't do but maybe 2 or 3 things on farm before this happens. Very Aggravating!!! Can you suggest anything or tell me what's going on!!! I have Windows XP. I have uninstalled and reinstalled plug ins

Hello ,
it might be that a plugin is possibly outdated. Could you please check the following:
#Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/.
#Wait for the plugin check to complete.
#If %%pluginname%% is outdated, go to the plugin website to download a recent version!

• While playing farmville i cannot open my buildings and such, i could before i got the latest update for firefox this morning

Prior to installing the latest update for Firefox this morning, all was well, but since that time, when I go to Farmville, it won't allow me to open my giftbox, barns, inventory, or bakery. It was fine until then. I tried Internet Explorer, (which I hate that browser with a passion) but it allowed me to do those things. I restarted and rebooted and it didn't help the problem. Is there anyway to undo ONLY the last update to Firefox?

Hi Heather,
Would you mind opening a new bug on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com?  Here's a post that describes the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log:
How to report a crash with Flash Player
In addition, these steps might be helpful if the Firefox crash logs have already been submitted:
1. In the Firefox Location bar, type about:crashes and hit Return. A page listing submitted crash reports will appear.
2. Hold down the Ctrl key while you click on the latest crash under Report ID and choose Open Link in New Tab.
3. A tab will open to a page on crash-stats.mozilla.com, saying that "Your report is being processed".  When it is finished processing, your report will load.
4. Go back to the tab with your submitted crash reports and copy the long Report ID number for the latest crash (eg. The Report id starts with the string "bp-" as in this example: bp-6bf400e3-3b71-4717-9941-be6332110919)

• Farmville constantly closes and reopens

While playing Farmville (in Facebook) a Mozilla pop-up briefly shows up, then the game closes and re-starts. This happens whenever I interact with anything in the game. I installed Firefox yesterday and had no problems with Farmville. Today I do. Please help.

Start Firefox in <u>Safe Mode</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

• I got a message to help test Mozilla and Mozilla is stopping the download of this even though I "Allowed it? The feedback submit will not let me submit any feedback to you? All info is included below,

I downloaded Version 4 of Mozilla yesterday because while playing Farmville a Zynga game on Facebook my computer was going very slow and an error message kept coming up saying internet connection had been lost and it reconnects. I use Comodo.com for security and live support, they have checked and rechecked my pc . There is nothing wrong with it. About 3 weeks ago FB/Z made a change saying they were going to throttle the game and control the limits on gift giving. This is when all the problems started that I'm experiencing now. It happened in the past when I first started playing while I was using IE 8. That is why I first started using Firefox. Firefox was so much better; no hang ups, no disconnections. The games played really smooth and easy. Now Firefox is doing the same things that IE was doing. I tried Comodo Dragon for a while. It ran really fast without problems. But, I was getting all kinds of Facebook notices because Dragon's security wouldn't let them into my email or anything. In other words Facebook cannot handle a good browser with good security. I went back to using Mozilla and have been using it ever since. But, this is horrible. It is constantly saying waiting on app.facebook...... and everything just freezes up. Then today, I got a message from Mozilla about being in a test for a week to help Mozilla make the program better. I agreed and tried to download it. It couldn't be downloaded "because Firefox was preventing the download." I clicked on"Allow" the info bar went away. It was downloading but then I got a message in the download progress bar saying it could not be downloaded because Firefox would not let it. I deleted the previous version of Firefox yesterday because I thought it would interfere with the new one so it isn't that. I am using Windows 7 and it is up to date. I sent one feedback message today but I had to work to get it to submit. I tried again about a 30 minutes ago when I got the join the test group message again and nothing would submit so I came to Mozilla.com to this page to let you know what was going on. I don't know anything else to tell you. Is it possible that to throttle down the games the Facebook browser is using to much memory and processor speed and this is causing the computers to freeze up. Other game players are having these same issues. I bragged about Mozilla for over a year to my friends on Facebook and got a lot of them to change over to it. They have loved it. Now I worry about what's going on. These problems are happening almost every time I make I do anything. It is constant?

EDIT: To try to work out what those two midden volumes are do I tried this in terminal, gave me this:

I presume those ghost type volumes, net and home, are the ones showing up there with names as . and .. and run by 7 root admin. Shouldn't technically I be the user admin since only I use this machine? No idea why i'm listed as gary staff ... Soz for all the questions, I really wanna learn

• Why is Firefox so slow on Facebook and it's applications? How do I fix this problem?

I love Firefox, but when I am on Facebook, especially Farmville or one of the other applications I use on Facebook, Firefox slows down drastically. It is Firefox because I downloaded Google Chrome and it is lightning fast while playing Farmville etc. I've done everything I could think of, including uninstalling some of the larger Add-on's that I had downloaded using Firefox. Nothing has sped it up even a little bit. I don't want to change browsers, but I hate switching back and forth between Firefox and Chrome. Does anyone know if anything is being done about this problem?
Facebook keeps encouraging me to download their toolbar that can only be used on Firefox, I want to but sheesh, I can't handle the turtle speed of Firefox, I'm way to impatient for that.
Been a Firefox supporter for many years, hate to change now.

Hi Sara,
I'm sorry that you're having issues with Firefox and Farmville. My first suggestion is to ensure that your plugins are up to date. For instance, Farmville relies on the Flash plugin, and I've noticed that your version is slightly out of date. You can check your plugins on our Plugin Check page:
Also, some add-ons, like CoolIris, require a fair amount of system resources to operate. i love add-ons and wouldn't surf the web without them, but sometimes it's easier to disable all of them and just turn on the ones you use to determine if any of them are the culprit.
Another way to determine whether or not the problem is with Firefox or your installed add-ons is to create a fresh profile. You can create a new profile alongside your existing one that doesn't have any of your add-ons or bookmarks installed. Don't worry, it doesn't delete any of your existing data and switching between profiles is easy.
Here's an article on how to do this:

Your loyalty to Firefox is appreciated, and I hope this helps you with your problems- please reply if you'd like more help.

• My question is while im playing farmville my screen comes up as unresponsive script. It does this quite often. I finally updated all my plugins I think so can you see what else im not doing. Thanks for your help

I keep getting will playing farmville screen comes up as an unresponsive script. I think I finally updated all my plugins. I would appreciate your help.

Hello zia200z:
Goto Trend.com and run a full scan using house call its free. Then please install virus protection unless you love replacing hard drives and memory chips. You have a bad malware or virus on your computer that is causing these issues. You can pick up from any where especially from game sites and you tube sites. Ounce your system is clean then we be able to help you repair damages. Go from there. I hope D. drive has not been damaged yet. Recovery is easy to do. Provided D drive was not effected. What I would do is purchase two things a very good anti virus software such as Trend Micro Titanium Pro. Farely in expensive and a set of recovery disks from HP. Then just insert recovery disks and install anti virus software. These computers are excellent and are easley maintainable. I know Trend Titanium Pro can scan your back up files from this effected computer when you add these files back on again. I would start backing up my personal filed while you wait for delivery of recovery factory recovery disc. Yes it is easy to do recoveries but I think your D. drive has been damaged based on what you wrote. That is why I recommend you purchasing a set recovery disc.

• After the upgrade to 3.6, my flash player crashes while I'm trying to play Farmville. I have tried updating the flash player. I have tried restarting the computer. Nothing is working.

Last night, my system was still using Firefox 3.5.8. I was playing Farmville on Facebook and everything was working fine. This morning, I log onto my computer and find that I am upgraded to Firefox 3.6. I have been trying to play Farmville all morning, and the Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing. I have tried to update the Flash Player. I have tried restarting the computer. Nothing is working.

To anyone experiencing this problem after trying the steps I posted above, try this potential solution:
# Open Tools->Add-Ons->Plugins, find Shockwave Flash, and press Disable
# Hold down the Windows logo key and press R to bring up the Run dialog.
# Type %APPDATA% and press OK.
# Open the Adobe folder
# Right click on the Flash Player folder and press Rename. Type in Old Flash Player as the new name.
# Go back to the Application Data or AppData folder. (On Windows XP, click Up in the toolbar. On Windows 7 or Vista, click AppData in the address bar)
# Open the Macromedia folder and repeat step #5
# Go back to the add-ons window from step #1, and press Enable on Shockwave Flash
# Try Farmville, Youtube, and other affected sites to see if the problem is fixed.

• When playing FarmVille I continually get a window poping open that is title "about blank" it then closes and pops open again, preventing me from doing anything on Farmville how can I stop this?

when trying to play FarmVille with Firefox on my laptop, a window continually pops open with the title "about blank" then it closes, and pops open again right away. Because of this I can not manage to do anything on the FarmVille screen. This does NOT happen on my desktop machine. Both are running Windows 7 64 bit. How can I prevent the window from poping up all the time? Something is continually sending a request, but I do not know what it is. Thank you for any help or suggestions. By the way, Google Chrome works perfectly, but I prefer Firefox.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
Regards
TD

It is possible that you accidentally clicked the 'Block Images' item in the right click context menu while trying to save an image.
Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > Content: Load Images: Exceptions - See Options window - Content panel
A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (Site Identification icon) on the left side of the location bar and click the "More Information" button.
This will open the Security tab of the Page Info window (also accessible via Tools > Page Info).
Go to the Media tab of that Page Info window.
Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow.
If an image is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box Block Images from... then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
