I'm able to access FB when on another computer or my guest acct. How do I get into my FB acct on Safari again? Each time I type in "facebook", it will not load.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click Details then type facebook in the search field then remove all facebook related items.
Now empty the Safari cache. Press Command + Option + E on your keyboard.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try accessing your Facebook page.
If that didn't help, click History from the Safari menu bar then click Clear History.
Quit and relaunch Safari and try Facebook again.

My iphone 5 seems to be stuck in the horizontal view when I'm in the message mode. In all other views I can turn the phone 90 degrees and horizontal to vertical works fine. Not sure what the problem is.
I found a solution!
Perhaps this is just temporary, but I have my display up and working again.
Although the symptoms are different were a bit different, the solution here worked:

As I was able to connect to my HD via an external monitor, in the finder, I went to:
1. Macintosh HD --> System --> Library --> Extensions
2. From there I moved all of the files that started with ADM and ATI (19 in total for me) to a folder on my desktop. (You will need to enter your admin password for this)
3. Next was a restart.
4. Then my display started working again.
5. After that, I transferred the files back into my Extensions folder.
6. I then did another restart with my fingers crossed and breath held. It worked.
Also... During the last few days of trying to find a fix, I restored a Mavericks backup to my computer away from Yosemite.
I'm very sure this problem occurred when I put my MBP to sleep, disconnected the power in its sleep, while something was connected to a USB port and unplugging the USB device (for me an iPhone charger) while the MBP was closed.

I have always heard that Macs are less likely to get infected with a virus. My computer has been running much slower since I installed Maverick. Just not sure what the problem might be. Is there a way for me to run a diagnosis?
Some have found relief just by reinstalling, but it is more than likely incompatible third-party applications that slow it down.
You will have to investigate to see what it is.
Open Activity Monitor and see if anything is using a lot of CPU% or Memory. If they are, check to see if there is an update for them.
Another place to look is the Console. See if anything is logging repeating messages with throttling and/or respawn in the All Messages list.
Sometimes it is not that easy to root out the problems, but if you have anything that purported to clean, protect, optimize, maintain, or flush your system, then that is likely the cause. -

Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

i've already synced my itunes on my laptop with my iphone but it's not synching all of the albums/songs. Everything was purchase through itunes so i'm not sure what the issue is.
What settings do you have in iTunes? Is it set to sync all music, it is set to sync only checked songs? Is there anything different about the songs that it is not syncing. Is it possible they were they purchased with a different Apple ID?

Ive deleted something, not sure what but my Ipod connects then disconnects. It doesnt come up on my Itunes or 'My Computer' Whatever happened, it deleted my music of my pod! Someone pleaseeee HELP!

Yes, feel free to uninstall and reinstall as many times as you feel necessary. However, this doesn't often fix problem (unless the install process didn't work in the first place or that files have become damaged or are missing since the install process).

I need help to sync my ipod. When connected to my computer, itunes tells me it is synced to another account. I only have one account. I had tons of stuff stored on itunes, now my itunes account is blank. I fear connecting my iphone or ipad now. I would like to use my itunes to download movies and shows to my ipad2' but I'm not sure I want to risk it. I have signed onto my husband's computer and tried to assess my itunes account but get the same result! Help!

Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything back.
You can sync iphone/ipad to one and only one itunes library at a time. Syncing to another will indeed erase the iphone. -
when i try to open a web page, a blue screen appears - message says - sarfari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet. i have an iphone - no proble and a laptop - no problem as well.

My computer turns on but then immediately shuts down.
It seems my computer turned itself off in the middle of the night. This morning, when I tried turning it on, it wouldn't leave the white initial screen with the apple logo and the waiting sign so I manually shut it down. I waited a couple of minutes before doing so. Then I turned it back on again and the same thing happened. The third time I turned it on, the white screen appeared and then it shut down on its own! Next time I did the same thing and it took less time before shutting down on its own.
My computer is connected to the energy source. It's not connected directly to the wall, there is a no-break with a very weak battery and that's connected to the power source.
My concern is that there was very little memory left on my computer and I was downloading more movies.
It the problem coming from my computer or is it the energy source?Try connecting the plug directly to an outlet. That should determine whether it is the energy source or not.
If the same, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

I just purchased an additional ipod. When I turn it on it tells me I have to plug into i tunes. I can't get any other screen to display on the device. I have plugged it into my computer and tried to sync but the sync button is not highlighted as a selection. I can't figure out what to do.
It's telling you to plug into a computer loaded with iTunes! You must highlight the iPod on the left side to make the Sync button available. This is because multiple devices can be simultaneously synced (wirelessly) from the same iTunes and you must decide which device you're syncing.
Also, Please read Chapter 2.
There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site. If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again. -
When I connect my iPAD to my PC it no longer opens it at as device in itunes.
This has worked in the past.
I don't have problems with my old iPOD. That is recognised and syncs ok.
Also, the PC recognises the iPAD as a drive so I'm not sure why it doesn't open it in itunes... Very frustrating.Thanks, this helped. THere was a new version of iTunes I downloaded to my PC and now the iPad is recognized.
The problem now is that I get the message that I cannot backup my iPad as my PC is not authorised, even though when I click to authorize it says my PC is already authorized.
