While restarting for Win10 istallation, pc overheated, and now it shuts off at boot up

Out of nowhere my pc stopped working during start ups. I was installing Windows 10, and when it was restarting to finish the process of installing, my pc overheated. I put my hot computer next to the A/C because it kept on overheating when I tried to turn it back on. After my pc cooled down I turned it back on, and after 70 seconds it just shut off (it had a broken screen so I didn't know what was going on). Please someone help me, my pc won't go to select a OS and I can't see what is going on. HALP Thank you if you can help John Tall

Sudden shutdowns can occcur from the Intel CPU overheating and executing a Thermal Halt, the CPU temperature will confirm this and if the system stays up longer after allowed to set off for hours to cool off but stays on for shorter periods at subsequent reboots then the cause is likely an improperly attached heatsink when you replaced the fan assembly.   I hope you used thermal putty when replacing your fan and apply it properly this time,,,, if you didn't use thermal putty the problem and solution is evident. Either do a better job this time and if you have no idea what thermal putty is then pay someone qualified to reinstall your fan.
Using TPFancontrol or Notebook Hardware Control will report your CPU temp also enabling granular fan control.
I prefer TPFancontrol for its simplicity and accurate temp reporting, use it to monitor your CPU temp to verify your CPU isn't baking and shutting down to preserve itself.
AMD's are notorious for running hot to match Intel speeds and WILL toast themselves more often than Intel.

Try a reset:  hold the on/off switch and the home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, often around 30 seconds.

  • E51 and now E63 shut off during VOIP calls

I have an E51 that I have been using almost exclusively for VOIP calling since I bought it 18 months ago. It was purchased in the US, but most of the time I used it in Thailand. About 3 months ago I returned to the US and started having problems with the phone shutting down and resetting itself during VOIP calls over WiFi. It never did this in Thailand. I tried replacing the battery and updating the firmware but it made no difference. After a few minutes the phone starts clicking, and then after another 10-15 seconds it powers down and then powers itself backs on without going through the full startup procedure. Obviously it hangs up the call, which is extremely annoying to say the least.
Since it is out of warranty at this point I decided to buy a new phone, an E63. However, the brand new E63 does exactly the same thing.  This is really a big problem and I don't understand it. There is no way I can send it in for a warranty service as then I would be without a phone entirely, and actually I'm in Brazil right now anyway.
If anyone has experienced a problem like this please let me know. I was going to have everyone in my company use these phones, but with this problem it would not be possible.
     Thanks for any help,
    David

The irritating shutdowns occur whether or not the battery is fully charged, whether or not the phone is plugged into the charger while calling, and whether or not automatic login for WLAN networks is enabled.

  • I bought the iPhone 4s and my battery used to reach 32% and then the phone would shut off. Then it reached 46% and the same thing happens, and now it shuts off at 53%. And it start recharging from the percentage it shut off at. What does this mean?

    What does this mean?

My iphone 4s just developed a similar problem.  Ultimately, after a visit to the Genius Bar at which I was offered a replacement phone for $149, I took the phone to a non-Apple repair shop which diagnosed the problem as tarnished pins in the docking connector and replaced the connector for $49.
The symptoms I experienced were that the phone would not pull a charge.  I tried different cables, wall outlet versus computer USB connection, etc.  The screen stayed black until I depressed the sleep button, at which time the red battery / lightening bolt symbol would flash three times and then the screen would go black.
If your battery is dead, that icon will not show up at all.  If you get the icon, it means your battery is run down and needs to recharge, but the defective docking connector is preventing the battery from taking the charge.

  • I just loaded a few more songs and now it shuts off in the middle of the new songs on

Tried deleteing and reloading but it still does it only on those new ones. I had downloaded software updates prior to loading these new songs. What do I need to do to correct this? And how do you reload firmware which I am reading a lot about?

This is the Zen Nano Plus. Forgot that in first msg.

The settings seems to be correct...As you were able to ping the ip 192.168.1.2,it should open the setup page..Try to disable the firewall,ant-virus and other security software if any and then,try...Also try to adjust the browser settings on the computer... Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...Now try..
It should work now...If not then, you have to reset the router and need to reconfigure it again..

My airport turns off by itself and I have to restart the computer for it to work again and it only turns off again. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8. What can I do to solve this problem?

Usually the HDD is the frist place to look.  Use the original install disk and start up the MBP with the C key down.  Go through the installation process until you see on the display a menu bar on top.
    Click on UTILITIES.
From the drop down menu select Disk Utility.
Open Disk Utility>First Aid and run Verify and Repair.
    What are the results?

  • HT1483 My ipod needed repairing, so I backed up the data into restore file. My ipod was swapped for a totally new ipod and now I am having difficulty reloading the restored data that I saved. I keep getting the corrupt or not compatible MSG??? Any Ideas

My IPOD needed repairing, so I backed up my personal data into a restore file. In the end my ipod was exchanged for a brand new one and now I am having difficulty with restoring all of my data that I saved.
While trying to restore through iTunes I keep gettingthe corrupt or not compatible error message. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this issue?
    Much Appreciated for any help!

You can not restorea a backup made with a newer version of iOS to a phone with an older version of iOS.
1400 photos stored on the phone? Do you not EVER extract them? The camera roll is intended to be temporary storage. Like the SD card in a digital camera. You should be extracting them to your computer on a regular basis.
Contacts should be synced to a compatible contact manager or cloud service. If you were not doing any of these things, guard your backups with your life and make sure your computer is being backed up on a regular basis, because you won't be able to get them back until you get a new phone with at least the same version of iOS that your 4 had.
There are 3rd party applications that say they can extract this information from a backup file, but I don't have personal experience with them.

Are you referring to the Settings > WiFi screen? Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say, but tapping the blue arrow will not connect to the network. It will just show some information about the network. To join the network, you have to tap on the network name, to the left of the blue arrow. It should then ask for your network password.

  • I entered the incorrect password for my home wifi network and now I can't change it. How do I clear out the wrong password so that I can enter a correct one?

I entered the incorrect password for my home wifi network, and now I can't change it. How do I clear out the wrong password so that I can enter a correct one?

Settings > wi-fi  then tap on the little blue arrow next to the network you want to change. You have to tap on the blue arrow and not on the name.
Now at the top tap on "forget this network".
After that, the iPhone will think your home network is a new network and will ask you for the password to connect.
