The issue not with /usr/bin/local. When you excute root.sh, it will try configure the ASM with New GRID HOME. Issue started, whent tried to start
CRS-4123: Oracle High Availability Services has been started.

Cannot prevent ExtendScript debugging while running scripts from After Effects

Hi,
I am facing this issue while running scripts from within After Effects. Whenever I am trying to run a script in After Effects, the script opens up in ESTK in the debug mode. The execution waits at the starting point of the script as if there is breakpoint even though there is none. I am not sure whether what I am missing, whether some debug flag needs to be reset etc. I am using After Effects CC on Windows 7 OS. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I tried running the script after removing all $.writeln() statements, but unfortunately that does not resolve the problem. For testing the issue, I am trying with the simple script given below :

But executing even this one from AE opens up ESTK. I am absolutely stuck with this odd behaviour .

I hope someone can help, I have now tried downloading Lion OSx 4 times and I keep getting this message: An error occurred while running scripts from the package "mzm,stuhjljp.pkg".
I go back to the app store and it kindly tells me it's installed. It's not quite simply it is nowhere to be found.
Nice one Apple for moving away from those reliable discs and causing pain, wasted productivity and a **** of a lot of frustration. $29.99 to annnoy the **** out of me, thanks.

Mj, I can't offer much help but you may be able to use this method to "find" Lion OS X in the App Store again.
Hold down the "option" key while clicking on the App Store icon. Keep holding down the option key, then click on the "Purchased" tab at the top of the page.
With any luck the button to the right of Lion OS X will now say "install."
I'm having a similar problem reinstalling Lion, so don't be surprised if you try to reinstall and get the same error.

While the script is running, if it is properly written, the user should not be able to interfere with the workings of the script. as a extra measure, try using a scriptUI palette with a progress bar (see peter's book on the subject).
Are you using stuff like "app.copy()" and app.paste()? That it is usually a recipe for disaster, and the one reason people ask about locking the keyboard.

or turn off the redraw

thanks for feedback. We have processing for names containing space character but it seems there are paths (alter statements) that are not covered. I logged bug for that.
About your question:

First - we don't enforce - valid characters are used in design rules and you can use them to find elements with none valid characters. Predefined valid character sets are just examples and starting point. You can remove "space" if you don't want it as valid character.

If you are using backup feature from crx console, I mean http://localhost:4502/crx/config/backup.jsp I can say that we had also some problems with this functionalities.
First off all what you need to check are the permissions, because when you check a source code there is line which creates a File object using a path specified by you to make a backup of repository.
File targetDir = new File(req.getParameter("targetDir", listDir.getParentFile().getAbsolutePath()));
You need to have sure that the proper read write access has been granted for this path.
Another issue is that maybe there was already prepared some hotfix if you are using CQ5.4. Please refer to the following link:

Photoshop opens itself the help page while running script

I have a script that works for hours, and I noticed that sometimes (about 1 time per hour, but it varies) Photoshop opens itself the browser to display the help page.
Anyone know what can cause this?

I would like to share another concern.
So my script works for hours, and despite the use of the command "app.purge (PurgeTarget.ALLCACHES)" Photoshop eventually crash putting me the message "Not enough memory to preview" (I do not know the exact message in English, I have a French version).
There is no error code, and I tried to isolate my loop in a try / catch, but even so the error is crashing my script.
I turned off the preview of the layers in the Layers palette, the script runs a little longer, but still ends by crashing.

I am sure this would be the number one question on the FAQ for Photoshop scripting, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I know it may be possible because this is something you can do in InDesign. Any ideas? Obviously I want to make Photoshop process the files faster.

If it’s just about your machine setting the Playback Options in the Actions Panel to Accelerated might suffice.
Moreover xbytor’s stdlib contains code to include this in a Script.
