Hello Friends,
While starting the Oracle Application server, through OPMN command as well as from the services I am getting following error.
opmnctl: starting opmn and all managed processes...

couldn't figure out what is the basic problem...
Normally when ever I make any changes in Oracle Sensor Edge Server, I used to get this error..
I have installed the Oracle Apps Server in Windows enviroment...
I will be very happy if some body can help me resolve the issue...

i got the same error but in my case, I used HTTPDispatcher and found that the URL parameter was invalid, so I changed it in the edgeserver.xml and restart, it's ok for me.

NasimCan't tell you what's wrong with just this much of information. Take a look at this log file (as reported in the error message):
D:\product\10.1.3\OracleAS_1\opmn\logs\OC4J~home~default_group~1
And also:
D:\product\10.1.3\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\log\home_default_group_1\server.log
These two log files will give you bit more information to help diagnose the issue.

Large file download does not start and times out while loading
I've been trying to download movie files from a website and it does not work. When I click on the link, the download begins preliminarily, but does not seem to actually start downloading the file. It stays like this:
The MBs continue to go up for a while, but a download progress bar never appears (just the spinning striped bar) and I never get a time remaining on the download. After a few minutes the download just fails, and it says something like "network error." I've tried it on Chrome, FireFox, and Safari and the result is always the same.
I asked someone at the company about it, and he said they never heard of this problem and that their downloads work for other customers. Is this a problem on my end or their end?
Does anyone know what the problem may be? Is there anything I can do to fix this?I don't know what route Apple will take. Sure, they can boot it in firewire mode and try to reinstall
the update, but in the interest of time or other factors they may take another route.

Program times out while looping at internal table with huge records - Needs fine tuning suggestions
Hi,
I am trying to execute a report. It times out while looping at vbap internal table. This internal table has 140000 records and does the validation within this loop and geenrates data for the output. Due to this huge volume, the program times out when executed foreground.
There are no nested loops, so I cannot apply 'Parallel Cursor' here.
Is there any way I can fine tune the program so that it doesn't timeout? Is it possible to apply 'Parallel Processing' . If yes, how?

->sort your internal table by all primary key for vbap.
->Read a Record from the table (use your condition here)
->if record satisfys your where condition ,get that record index .
->loop the table from the index (without condition) .
its like parallel cursor only but for single loop .;-)
->use field symbols ,wherever possible .

during ongoing operations in App 2 ?

The problem is that im getting an error saying time out!!! and when i start downloading again it starts from zero!!
Their alternative option is for you to bring it into the store
You could google and look for some download helpers (presuming they still exist, haven't used them in years) but they're freeware or adware that caches your download to help you recover from timeouts.
the timeout is possibly caused by your ISP, if they regularly cycle routers or the such it 'burps' your connection causeing it to cut out.
You might try taking your laptop to your local library which may have wifi. Or, as the others have suggested, a friend's house with cable internet. -
Distiller Start Error, Time-out occured
We are using Acrobat distiller 7 in our Formscape/Bottomline
Project. The incoming file is a pdf from JDE OneWorld XE. WHen Formscape tries to create the pdf, it has an error that says "Distiller start error. time-out occured."
Has anyone else had this issue? What could be causing it? and How do I fix it? Distiller 9 doesn't work with Formscape/Bottomline. I haven't tried 8This forum is for issues relating to Distiller Server, not Acrobat Distiller. Please repost in the Acrobat Windows forum.

firmware version = 2.2.0.7
the above happened after a facory reset and configuration from scratchWell the problem is now resolved. It was either faulty tapes (about 12 of) or two tape drives with faulty heads. We had the heads replaced in one of the drives and tested it with a new tape, it works perfectly again.

BPEL not started until time out

In my BPEL Process,I have flowN activity, each branch(each flow) has HumanTask activity which sends mail & get response from the assignee.
When I invoke the process, it gets started but not send any mail until the timeout.
If the process timed out and returns exception : com.oracle.bpel.client.delivery.ReceiveTimeOutException, then everything works as expected.
I have set the time out under 2 files transaction-manager.xml & domain.xml.
I'm using SOA 10.1.3.1
And in my orion-ejb-jar.xml also contains some timeout option (default is 160) which I left without change.

I'm not sure which version of Reports you are running. In case you are running Reports 9i, you may use Java Importer feature to get this done. This is how:
Create a java class that has a static method:
public class Sleeper {
public static void Sleep(long duration)
Thread.sleep(duration);
Compile Sleeper.java file and place the class file in REPORTS_CLASSPATH
In Reports 9i Builder, import the Sleeper class.
In the place where you want to hold, call SLEEPER.SLEEP(1000*60*5);
