While transporting a role getting issue - Role type is undetermined

While trying to transport a single role getting the below error :
Role type is undetermined.
Can somebody help?

I faced something pretty much similar and snote:: "770358 - PFCG: Role copy fails due to data inconsistency" worked perfectly for me.
Snote describes quite nicely about the root cause.
Please note this error might come up when you try to copy this role, perform pfud as wel.

Thanks for your kind reply.
There are no R/3 Datasources involved. Our BI Cockpit landscape is based upon only BI system. No data transfer to take place between R/3 and BI.
Secondly, you mean to say that I need to replicate my Source system in Production and then proceed with the transporting of the requests from Dev to Prod.
But I never did the same in Quality while transporting from Dev. Is it that it might have been done in Quality beforehand by someone ?
Also, when the Datasources have not been transported to Production (resulting in error) then how can i replicate these datasources in Production ???
Let me know if I have not understood correctly.

i am transporting transformations dev to qty. while transporting i am getting error msg:
1) No Rules exists.
Transformation : Rules 1 could not be imported.
Transformation : Rules 2 could not be imported.
Transformation : Rules 3 could not be imported.
No fields were supplied.

Just a quick spot it may be because of incorrect transport collection or multi modifications of transformation under a single transport .
Just replicate the data source in Target system RSA1>Source System>DS right click replicate .
and create a new transport in development system by reactivating the transformations and then release it in SE01 and then go to the Target system and go for STMS import it.
Small Note have you mapped all the info objects ,have imported the specified info objects into your target system if not then please do it and then import the transformation request.

Error While Transporting Smartforms from 832 client to 834 client

Hi
I released my Smartform and Program...
and i told our basis ppl to Transport the Code from 832 to 834
but while transporting they are Getting this error
Transport Control Program tp ended with error code 0212
Errors:could not access file as supposed.
My question is
Y they r getting this error?
is it link to Abap Program..
bcz they are telling that there is a wrong in my Program...
Bt my Program is working fine in 832 client...
Can any one help me on this?

If you haven't done any changes in the program then there is no need but you are saying you have created error messages.Haven't you tagged the changes related to the smartform as well as the Error messages (ie message class) in the same request?
If you have different requests one for error message and one for Smartform,then see to that both are transported.If smartform is using any of those error messages then you need to move the request which has got error messages first and then only the smartform related requests should be moved otherwise it will give a dump becuase by the time Smartform is moved to 834 the error messages request is not yet moved.Hence sequnece while moving the transport requests is very important.It is always advisable to have all the changes related to a program in one request.

For a variety of reasons, mostly related to security, the iOS operating system limits what can be done with respect to file uploading and downloading. But whenever you encounter a limitation like this always think, "There must be an app for this."

SRM 5.0 Role export issue

Dear All,
I'm working on integration of SRM 5.0.1 and SIM 8.1.
I'm facing issues while exporting roles from SRM to SIM.
By the book i.e. SRM manual.
SRM Roles --> SIM Business Roles
SRM Policies --> SIM IT Roles.
But when I execute same scenario, following is the result.
1. SRM Roles --> SIM IT Roles.
2. SRM Policies export --> error: Policy export not supported for this version.
Kindly let me know if anybody has resoultion, also plz let me know if your are facing similar issues.

In the project role, we are doing staffing ( assigning BP). While assigning the BP's getting below errors.
Resource assignments overlap
Message no. DPR_BUPA_LINK004
Diagnosis
The validity period '10.02.2008'-'01.03.2008' for the assignment of project role Product Manager and ' Rakesh Pradhan' overlaps with the validity period of the assignment ''.
However, the project role type does not allow several staffings to be edited at the same time in the project role.
System Response
The system does not allow this constellation of data when saving.
Procedure
Check and correct the start and finish dates of the staffings affected.
Request you to advise in fiixng the issue.

For multiple staffings in the same time frame, check the option of 'Edit in Parallel' in the Role Type settings in SPRO.

How to get security roles in a JSF portlet

I need to get the LDAP user-roles available in the Sun Portal Server 7 in my JSF-168 portlet.
I've added the mapping file, updated the portlet.xml and web.xml, deployed the portlet (psconsole). But the portlet shows the "content not available" error with javax....title title.

Business Roles Provisioning - Issue

We are on GRC SP13.
We are using business roles for provisioning.
When i select "CHANGE ACCOUNT" request type and request for business roles through GRC, roles are being assigned to UserID and everything is working fine.
Issue is with the notification mail user is getting after provisioning. My notification email has details as shown below.

SAP MII 14.0 SP5 Patch 11 - Error has occurred while processing data stream Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server

We are using a two tier architecture.
Our Corp server calls the refinery server.
Our CORP MII server uses user id abc_user to connect to the refinery data server.
The user id abc_user has the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role.
The data server also has the checkbox for allow dynamic query enabled.
But we are still getting the following error
Error has occurred while processing data stream
Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server; Use query template
Once we add the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role to the data server everything works fine. Is this feature by design ?

Role Import - Issue

Hi All,
We have a Logical System Group for ECC. Now this group has 3 connectors.
I am uploading the roles into GRC system from one of the 3 connectors defined under logical system group.
I downloaded the Role authorization file and Role attributes file from target system and updated with required details.
I imported these roles into GRC 10 by selecting below options.
Roles are imported without any issues. But when I open the role i can see that my role has all the connectors attached to it which are part of ECC logical system group as shown below.
I have maintained all the roles status as"DEV" so as to not allow them to be available during access request creation. Now issue is the roles which belongs to 200 client are not coming when I search for during access request creation as I disabled them. But my connector 200 is added to all other roles which belongs to connectors 10 and 100.
When i search for roles with connector 200, I am now getting the roles from other connectors.
My requirement is though i upload roles against logical group, role should be tagged only to connector to which it belongs and not to all the connectors in that logical group.
Am I doing anything wrong here ? Please help.

Hi Sai,
roles are uploaded to specified environment.
You can select in which systems role will be available to select in access request.
Try to upload template with three records for every role. Every record should have "Overwrite" set to "Y". Only difference will be in system and provisioning columns. See attached screen.

Issue while transporting objects

Hello Guyz
I am having problems while transporting transformations, DTPs and other objects in BI. We are using BI 7.0 by the way.
The problem is, when I re-transport a few of these objects, I get 2 sets of transformations and DTPs instead of the new one overwriting the already existing one in Quality. Do we need to set 'Overwrite Property' on the transport or somewhere else before re-transporting objects from dev to (qa or prod).
I have the same question regarding Process Chains: is there some type of 'Overwrite' property that we need to set before we re-transport a Process chain into Quality for a second time? Do we end up creating 2 PCs if we dont have this property ON??
Please advise.

HI,
You need to select all the options when importing the TR in qualtiy system.excpet the one which says leave the TR in the queue for later import.
when importing requesting in STMS_IMPORT it will give you a pop up on how you want to import it.
There are option for overwrite mode.
Select all the option which says overwrite and then do the import.
