While trying to open Open Directory, I get a setState error
I'm runing Server 2.2 on a new 2012 Mac Mini 2.6 running Mountain Lion 10.8.2
My server was running fine for over a month then I updated to Server 2.2 from 2.1 and I lost my Open Directoy and it would not restart. I kept getting this message. Then all of a sudden it started working for no reason.
Now another month later, I update the firmware on the mac mini, restart the mac and again, Open Directory won't launch and I get this message AGAIN.
I've searched all over and tried every little advice I've gathered here and there but nothing has done the trick.
Can anyone help ?

I am also getting this issue Paul.
I have tried (with my limited knowledge) to get rid of all the OD preferences etc (as just playing with server) I have deleted the server app, and all files, but still when I set it up i get the same message, rather than (what I was expecting) an option to make a new OD.
Very frustrated.

Are there photos in the Library? If not then just trash it and launch iphoto. It will make a new one.
If there are pics in it then Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. -
When opening I-Tunes i get the following error message: an unknown error occurred (-42032). What shall i do?

When trying to update Acrobat XI I get a 1328 error each time. I have uninstalled XI and reinstalled it from disk. When trying to update the newly installed XI I still get the 1328 error. I have searched my C: drive for the file C:\config\Msi\PTA082.tmp but with no sucess. Any suggestions?

when trying to Burn a DVD I get the following error:
'The drive reported an error:Sense Key=MEDIUM ERROR Sense Code=0x73,0x03'
Please advisethis reccommendation is to OS 10.5.8 only
Go to the hard drive find the following folders and look for the following file, com.apple.finder.Plist, delete it and restart the computer. Its found under the following folder Users-account name-library-prefrences. This helped resolve my issue for now. -
I have OSX 10.7 Lion. I set up a separate email account for my wife. All of a sudden when she tries to enter and website from email we get the following error message. JavaScript; The notnull validator has already been loaded. From there we can't seem to go any where. When you hit OK it just keeps appearing and the only way to get out of it is to quit Safai. If you try and got directly to Safari you get the same error message and can't go any further. Please help.

While trying to install photoshop 11 I get an error message
When I try to reinstall photoshop 11, I keep getting an error message as it trys to remove Photoshop 11. This program was removed for some reason when I had a problem with Windows Update stallling and failing to download. Now while trying to reinstall, it wants to remove photoshop 11 and the program does not exist on the computer.

Recently, I did an update on iTunes on my Acer laptop. Now I can't open iTunes & I get a Runtime Error telling me C Runtime library is loaded incorrectly. I have Windows 7 64-bit. Do I need to reinstall iTunes.

To resolve this error, I recommend completely removing and reinstalling iTunes and all of its related components using these steps:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

Can you check the ULS logs to find what is the error. The default location of log files will be C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS for MOSS 2007.
If is allowed for you to change the callstack and customerrors mode setting in the web.config then change those values to see the error.
Find: <SafeMode CallStack="false" />
Replace with: <SafeMode CallStack="true" />
Find: <customErrors mode="On" />
Replace with: <customErrors mode="Off" />

While trying to update my phone one photo is stopping the whole process and I've gone through all the online suggestions (check for updates,etc)
Verizon was having a problem on their end, perhaps a server down for some repair or updating. However you were already aware that there was an on-going problem in your own posting and you decided to continue on.I can understand you wanting this done and trying to save the $15.00 fee. However I would have waited a bit longer until the Verizon issue had been corrected. Yes it is frustrating but again you know in advance of a problem , I can understand that this is most upsetting for you but never try to perform any change when a problem is there and I also do not like to do business on a weekend with no live tech support available. I'm sure this will all work out for you if given some time. Sorry.
