While I was updating the software of my IPad, it stopped working and only shows the apple logo. How can I recover my IPad?

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Make sure IOS is updated to latest version
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).
If that doesn't work then backup and then restore the device as new first (to isolate cause of the issue). Then from backup if necessary.

One thing you can try is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. If the logo is already there, keep holding for at least 20 seconds. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow if it appears. If you are successful, the iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

My Apple iphone 5 is less than a year old, meaning it's still under the 12 month warranty. The touchscreen has stopped working and there are lines across my screen. Can I get it replaced for free by booking an appointment in store?

The rest of my phone is still perfectly operational. I can sync it to my Mac, I can still see my phone screen, meaning I can still see texts and calls coming through, the power button works, I can see my apps and my background, and the circle button at the bottom still works. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it,updated it and reinstalled all my apps with the ‘applications install DVD’ however it still does not work. I have also tried holding the command and option key while pressing iphoto then when the pop up appears i press the checkboxes that have been suggested by other users however nothing happens. Ok the program itself is likely fine, it's the files it depends on that are not.
Step #1
1: Open your Users/Library/Preferences folder (if on Lion you need to use the Go in Finder)
2: Scroll down until you see a file called
com.apple.iPhoto.plist
3: Trash it and reboot, start iPhoto and see if it works.
Step #2
1: Go to your Users/Pictures/iPhoto Library and right (or hold option) click on it and "show package contents"
2: Inside will be a folder with your originals, copy them out.
3: Move and rename the iPhotoLibrary file outside of the Pictures folder.
4: Reboot and restart iPhoto, check inside the Pictures folder if iPhotoLibrary was created.
5: Download ClamXav and run a scan on the Original photo's and your whole machine too while your at it.
(it's if there is a picture in there from Windows it could contain a corruption caused by malware)
6: Reimport the originals back into iPhoto.
See if those two steps resolve your issue, if not I could suspect next a network issue? Like iPhoto is trying to contact the internet and can't or gets hung?
You can can create another user, use the Shared Drop box to transfer files and log into the other user and see if it's a issue with just your User account, and if so you might just want to transisition over and then one day delete the old user and it's problems.

After trying many different fixes including uninstalling flash player and unsuccessfully trying to reinstall it, would consistently stop loading at about 57 percent. Either there are remains of registry keys interfering or your site or my computer has been attacked. No malware showing after checking with antivirus. Seen same message on other computers. Had to restore computer to earlier date but lost some contact info in the process in Skype. Possible problem from trying to install internet tv software, but restored to previous point there to. Computer works ok but slowed on internet considerably but message shows continuously daily need a better solution or let your site analyze my flash player. What can I do?

thank you for your info, I did edit the question to show I was using vista (business to be specific). I will try again with some afterthoughts. Will enable Java first. I remember that was a problem in a previous update, I thought that was always running and go through the steps again. I don't feel comfortable messing with the registry and if you can add some advice on how to deal with that safely that would be appreciated also. Thank you so much for your quick response. Sounds like a hardware issue to me going by the CRC error you mentioned. I'd make a Genius Bar reservation (you'll need your Apple ID) if you have a nearby Apple Store and get it evaluated. The evaluation is free but repair/replacement could incur other charges.

I would do another SMC reset. If nothing changes you should take the computer in to an Apple store for a free diagnostic. You should make an appointment.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.
