While updating to ios 6.1.2 my iphone got lock showing connect to itunes, what i have to do so not loose my all data
when i tried to update my iphone 4s from ios 5.1.1 to ios 6.1.2 connecting through other wifi personnel hotspot connection., my iphone got switch off and showing connect to itunes with "itunes round logo" and usb cabel connection
please help me what i have to do, so i should not loose my data in iphone (messages, contacts, photos and videos etc.)
also i was confused weather i should do restore my iphone through itunes, will my all data erase?
there also showing that after restore i can get back my all data and settings?
please help me

i did not understand last sentence - if i have one? you mean to say if i have data or not in my iphone?
i have many pictures, messages, contacts which are very much important.
so will it be all restore and will be backup again in my iphone if i restore?

sir i have icloud account also, and i login in my icloud account on my laptop in icloud.com and i checked there contacts which i had in my iphone that all are available in icloud website in my account.
that means i have backup right? but how i can check my other data , means messages and photos?
please help me to how i can get backup through icloud after restoring my iphone? i will be very glad and helpful by you if you can send me the easy process to take back up from icloud

To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

Probably because the previous owner had the phone hacked to unlock it, and when you updated it locked back to the original carrier.
Only the carrier that the phone is locked to is authorized to unlock it.
If the previous owner had the carrier unlock it, you wouldn't have any issues. -
after finish software updates IOS 7 in my iphone 4s its showing connect to itunes after i connect with itunes its showing 40 hours remaining for update. But still not finish even after every 30-45 minutes showing error. What i will do please guide me. I'm connecting my device with my acer laptop windows 7 professional.

When I went to update my iPod touch on iTunes, it said unable to update then the iPod shutdown and no longer showed connected in iTunes. I have tried holding down both buttons for up to 3 mins with no luck turning it on, even after a full charge. Help?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Updated to 3.1.3, now iPhone won't show up in iTunes
Updated to 3.1.1, now my iPhone won't show up in iTunes. iTunes starts up when I plug in my iPhone, but then SyncServer.exe just sits there running taking up 50% of the processor. Everything worked fine before the 3.1.3 upgrade, now it doesn't.
I have to uninstall it to get the update to work, then reinstall it.
Arrgh. Seen that before with CA too, Greg. (I've seen a couple of error 9s caused by CA just in recent days.)

I'm having the same problems. Can't even find out if Apple is working on it. Tried to downgrade but is not supported by apple so error 3194 comes up which is verifying with the apple web site. Which then stops everything. I understand you can modify the "hosts" file to by pass the issue, but hate doing that as it gets involved. May try it if I can't get any satisfaction from apple.

Hi, my iphone 5 encountered an unknown error while updating to iOS 7 via itunes and is now stuck in recovery mode and prompts me to restore the phone when I connect it to itunes but then I would lose all my data. I DO NOT have any back ups on itunes. Is there anyway to get out of recovery mode without restoring or recover data after a restore?
Or any other suggestions please? ThanksAs pdroth said, you should have gotten a backup made when you started the update of iOS. If you cannot find a backup, and the phone is in recovery mode, there are no futher suggestions to make. To get the phone working again you have to restore. You cannot force a backup at this time since it is already in recovery mode. It will not allow anything else but a restore at this point.
