This is becoming incredibly frustrating. It happens at random time and a restart of the computer is all that helps, then with out any notice it starts to do this again. Mac Book Pro i7 2.2 16 GB 1333 Ram, (2) 450GB SSD both internal to machine. At this point I am losing file because I am unable to save in the file type I need. Does anyone out there know how to solve this issue?

I haven't been unify photoshop much in the past month, but I did try your suggestion and it seemed to work for a while. Today when i went to save a document the same thing happened: click on file>save at this point I can not click on save even though it is highlighted. Tryed to use command s that brings up the save dialogue box, but when I try to change file type I again cannot select it from the drop down menu.

Using a drop down menu as navigation

Good morning all!
I have been struggling with making a drop down menu work as navigation for a while and finally need to reach out to all you brilliant people on this forum.
I currently have a drop down menu with three items(Nav1, Nav, 2, Nav3) corresponding to three pages(Screen1, Screen2, Screen3). When I first created the menu it seemed I could only use the OnChange option to use navigation with the menu because, when using
the OnSelect I only get these options:
If(Datasource!Selected!Title
/// and ///
If(Datasource!Selected!Value
If I use the first option the title listed on my data source doesn't work, I get the red squiggly line. If I use the second option (Value) I have no value listed in my data source.
Therefore I used the OnChange option, I can get the menu to navigate to the first page, however I realized that this option chances to one single page no matter what the menu option changes to.
Does anyone know how to make a drop down into a fully functioning navigation menu?
The other issue I ran into was resetting the drop down to the first list item upson returning to the screen however, ptr.chovan,
offered this working solution:
set a variable in screen1 property OnVisible
UpdateContext({active: true})
and in screen1 property OnHidden
UpdateContext({active: false})
Then in dropdown visual add this in Items
If(active=true, .... your data source here ...)
Or perhaps easiest way is instead of resetting datasource of dropdown, you can reset dropdown default by adding this into Default property
of dropdown
If(active=true, "Screen1")

If your Items in dropdown1 are
["Nav1", "Nav2", "Nav3"]
Then use OnChange property of the dropdown1
If(Dropdown1!Selected!Value="Nav1", Navigate(Screen2,""), Dropdown1!Selected!Value="Nav2", Navigate(Screen3,""), Dropdown1!Selected!Value="Nav3", Navigate(Screen4,""))

How do I select a range of values in MySQL using a drop down menu

Hi,
I have a database of picture frames that have a value of
frame width. I want to be able to select a range of values (i.e.
.50" to 1") instead of each and every value (i.e. .50", .56", .76",
etc.). I have a drop down menu (mnuWidth) with 5 ranges (see
attached code).
Each selection has a value from 1 to 5 indicating the range I
want to search. In my results page I have let DW set up a recordset
(see attached code)
Can anyone tell me how to get this to choose a range instead
of just the value entered by my menu?

I have been growing fond of lookup tables. Your lookup table would have your numbers in one column and the values you want returned in the next.

Caution: Lookup will return the closest value so it it looks for "10" in this example it will return "i"
If you don't want to see the error messages from blank inputs, wrap Lookup in IFERROR.

Adobe Form... Is there a way to use a drop down menu to highlight or note other fields...

I am working on a simple Adobe form. I am currently trying to figure out if there is a way to use the answers of a drop down menu to either mark, note or highlight 14 other fields. There are 9 possibilities in the drop down menu, include a blank and NONE.
For example if the drop down menu is set to 1, then field 9, 10 and 14 are marked, noted or highlighted.
Is this possible with a script?

Have you looked at the properties that are available to form fields. I would look at setting the fill color or border color for a form field. Either of these can be done with Acrobat JavaScript.

Presence problem when using a drop-down menu

I am trying to show/hide a table when a choice is made from a drop-down menu. It doesn't work until I make the same choice twice, then I get the expected result. The script is under Change and I have used it before successfully, albeit it has typically been using a check box. Is there an easy fix hopefully for this problem? Code below:

Drop-down lists work a little differently than expected; in the Change event the rawValue contains the previously selected text. That's why it works the second time. The current selection is contained in: xfa.event.newText

In LabVIEW 8.x, a popup menu can be associated with any controls/indicators. Just right click on control and go to Advanced...as shown below. You'll have access to a configuration window. The Run-Time shortcut menu is managed using the event structure.

How do you use a drop down menu to populate other fields?

I am creating a PDF that upon choosing from a list of People their address, phone, etc will automatically come in the remaining fields, or if a new person is choosen than you can add names address phone and it will save for future referrence ?

Try doing this:
Connect the form to a database and bind the fields in the form to the associated nodes in the data source so the data values automatically appear in the bound fields when a name is selected in the list.
Add scripting to the list of names so the associated fields for address and phone number appear only when the user enters a new name and needs the other fields to enter new data.
If that doesn't work, please provide more information about what you are trying to do. For example, here are a few questions to consider:
Q. What object are you using for the list?
Q. You say you want to be able to choose a person from a list of People, and their address, phone, etc automatically appears in the remaining fields address and phone number. What do you mean by etc. That is, exactly what objects are you planning to use for the other fields, and how many fields are there in total?
Q. Is your form connected to a data base, which can supply the data values for the address and phone number fields.
Q. What do you mean by 'a new person is chosen'. Normally the options on a list are pre-determined and added when you create the form. Do you want users to be able to add a new name to the list, and then enter that person's address and phone number in some adjacent fields?

Firefox 4 b10 loads fine, but when typing in search it hangs and does not complete the page. can scroll page, but cannot click on anything on the page. Please help i like useing 4 b 10

on the search bar far right where you can book mark the page to the right of this it is red and x'd out. so if there is some help great. fully unintalled firefox 4 b10, including removing the directories where program resided. rebooted computer, reinstalled it and still did the same thing.

I can open my bell email account, but cannot click on anything.

I can log into my Bell email account normally. Once in I cannot do anything. If I click on an email it will say " loading", or "reading", then "done", but nothing will happen. I cannot delete anything or access anything. In Explorer everything works normally.

1. Press hard the trackpad to register the click. If you can, uncheck and recheck
   all Point & Click settings.
   System Preferences > Trackpad > Pioint & Click
2. If you canot do the above, reset PRAM and SMC.

Creating a new drop down menu when an option in an existing one is chosen

I’m using Coldfusion 9,0,0,251028 on Windows 7 64-bit, with a Microsoft Access 97 database.
I’m having a problem with using a drop-down menu to create another one below it once a certain option is selected
(in this case, the option named “Breaking News”, which has an id of 31).
What event trigger should I use to create a drop-down menu underneath the first one when “Breaking News” is selected?
Should I be using Javascript for something like this, or can Coldfusion handle it?

Depending on the details, I might use ColdFusion to create the content of the second drop down.
The second drop-down is supposed to be an expiration date that gets attached to the message so it can be self-removing.
The first drop-down is to specify a category for a message to be sent out on.
In this case, the only one that needs the secondary expiration drop-down is a single category (Breaking News),
so all other options on the drop-down would have to not trigger the expiration date drop-down showing.
In that situation, would you use ColdFusion to create the second drop down?

I was really trying hard not to advertise, but rather to advocate the correct way to use ScriptUI.
However once it was brought up let me just say a word. Most apps that automatically create dialogs will use co-ordinates and bounds, overriding the default layout manager. In that Rapid ScriptUI is different, since it shows you how to manipulate position of elements without using layout manager.
The $2 script, while still existing, is a really old version of the library, however the professional version is extremely capable and outputs code which is really easy to understand and edit if necessary.

I know this is not a feature available directly in Muse, but are there other sites where I could get code to insert? View this website , the box on the right side where you can select from 3 dropdown menus and you get an updated price at the top. I don't care so much about the add to care function, I just want to have the dropdown/pricing.

Nav bars rollover stops working when there is a drop down menu

I am making a navigation bar bar that has about 5 links on it
all with rollovers. Their is one rollover that uses a drop down
menu. That rollover doesn't give me a rollover just a drop down. I
want to have both happen.
Also does anyone know how to keep the rollover in the down
state? I want to make it easy for the user to know where they are
in the site by just glancing at the nav bar.

Drop Down Menu Advice

I was wondering if anyone could give some advice as to how I could use drop down menus to switch between 50 different indicators and charts.
So I am building a program to monitor 50 motors. Right now, I have a program (attached) that can monitor one motor. I want to use a drop down menu to select which motor info (out of 50) I can see at a certain time. Selecting from the drop down menu should update all buttons/ indicators/ charts associated with the motor selected. I would also like the motors that aren't visible, but have been selected (with a boolean called Start End Data Collecting) to collect data in the background.
Right now, there is a subVI called Main Station that controls everything needed for one motor. I'm not sure how I'd expand this to 50. The Main Station subVI is in a while loop (while loop is part of main VI) which collects data from a daq on every loop. The Main Station is a case structure that runs or stops if the ON OFF boolean is switched (like a state machine). So all the motors switched to ON should run and collect data even if they aren't visible/selected on the front panel.
Here is a view of the front panel.
As you can see, there are four sections for the indicators/controls and two sections for the charts. Each section will/has a drop down menu. Each menu has a selection of 50 motors (labeled Motor 1, Motor 2,... Motor 50).
I would like the information in the indicators/ chart to show info specific to the selected motor, while the program updates the other motors (that are set to data collection) to continue collecting data. The only data stored is in the charts, but I would also like the controls to remain selected (even if not visible on the front panel) if a user selected them.
