While using phone screen continuously cycles on and off not allowing me to push buttons on screen

I've been noticing since purchasing the iPhone 5 for Christmas(2012) that when I am on the phone and I need to press buttons on the screen( like press one for english) the phone's screen will cycle on and of not allowing me to press anything. Even to the point sometimes it will not allow me to hit the end button to end the call. I have to Hit power/lock button to end call. Really anyoning espicially when talking a computer aided 1800 number. Also there is a intermittent loud hum coming from the ear speaker. Is this common problem with these or should I take it in to store? It only seems to happen while using the phone.

I had the same problem and was convinced my new phone was broken. I scoffed at the suggestions I saw here that it was my 2G's Piel Frama case. And you know what? That's what it ended up being. There's a little part of it on the upper left of the iphone and when the phone went black as I removed it from my ear to look for the keypad, I pulled that piece of leather away and poof! I had a keypad. It was totally the case. The new phone fits in the old case just fine, but the placement of the sensor isn't in the same place. I wouldn't have believed it otherwise.
BTW, if you hit the home button when that happens you'll get your screen back, but it's better to fix the case issue.

Unfortunately yes, though technology would never move on if it kept to older standards and did not strive to do more.
The app store always gives you the option to use a previous version of the app IF it is available for your device.
Sorry but you are stuck without new hardware.

HP C8180 All in one continually cycling on and off

My C8180 has had problems continually cyling on and off throwing errors telling me to use the power switch ando not to unplug the power source. This started happening after a power outage while it was on. At one point after several recycles, I got this error on a blue screen under a power button symbol "B3E0C330". Is there anything I can check or replace without sending this in for service or replacing it altogether? It's really disturbing that just a power outage could wreak this much havoc on the device, but I probably should have had it behind a surge protector. All other electronic devices connected at the time are fine.

I haven't tried it yet, but that is what I found in another forum. The guy said there are purple or green capacitors on the power supply board that you can clearly see are swollen and busted. It makes sense given the symptoms. You'll need to know how to solder and will need the tools once you get the replacement parts, but it sure beats throwing this thing out. For me it's the principal of the thing.
HP, how do you design a device like this that has such a fragile power supply? {Content Removed: legal discussion} I've seen plenty of people on this and other forums that have had the same problem with this particular device, but I guess a warranty is a warranty, you just don't need to buy HP again. I know I won't. Too bad Apple doesn't make printers!

WIP 330 Wireless Phone Password just showed up and does not allow Factory Default Reset

I have a WIP 330 IP Phone and had it setup on the network fine. When I powered it up, a phone password showed up. The manual says the default password is "admin" but that does not work. This phone has no reset button. Any Ideas?

The default login is “Admin” and password “0000”.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:

Phone cycles on and off. I have restored and so has the apple store.

I had a screen sensitivity issue with my original 4s. It would react to my finger getting within about 1/4 inch of the screen, and would auto dial without anyone touching the screen. Fortunately, It happened to actually do this in front of one of the 'geniuses' on my third trip to the apple store so they replaced the phone about 5 months ago. I was given a 90 day warranty on the new phone. It worked fine until last week.
It started cycling on and off. Then it wiped the phone and all of my apps. I restored the phone but there would be a noticeable hesitation between when I touched the screen and when the touch registered. This went on for two days.During those two days the power indicator did not ever show any indication there had been any battery drain, but always showed 100% charged, days, then went dead without ever showing it was discharging. I took it to the Apple store. They tried to do the same restore I had. The phone came back on, but then cuts on and off to the Apple logo. The battery will take a charge, but as it sits on the charger it cuts on and off. The store solution was for me to purchase a new phone since they either had no idea what the problem was, or wouldn't tell me. The phone has not had rough treatment or been exposed to water or excessive moisture. Any suggestions?

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid the device needs another hardware repair.
Please note that using that article will erase everything so make sure you've got a backup.
But restore it AS NEW if it's at all possible.

Version of OS X, what computer? Most of us uninstalled our mind reading app, they didn't work anyway?
Run Apple's Hardware Test in extended mode 2-3 times back to back. If errors appear that confirms it's a hardware issue and needs to go in for service.

Time Capsule HDD keeps cycling on and off while my Mac is sleeping

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a hurry so just gonna post dot points:
• My Time Capsule's HDD keeps cycling on and off continuously and potentially doing heaps of damage to it's drive when my MacBook is sleeping.
• Time Machine is set to automatically backup to my time capsule.
• As soon as I wake up and log into my MacBook it seems to stop. I checked the time capsule icon immediately and it says "Preparing backup" so I assume it was stuck in that phrase.
• I assume it backs up normally after waking up
MacBook Pro Retina:
• I usually never put my MacBook to sleep by closing the screen, so can't say if this happens when it's in closed screen sleep vs open screened sleep
• I'm not sure if there's any difference between close screen sleep and open screen sleep
• It is set to go to sleep automatically after 45mins of inactivity
• My iTunes Library is stored off-device on a 2TB HDD connected to the Time Capsule

How old is the TC and on what firmware?
You have put Mountain Lion for OS.. is that still the case or upgraded to Mavericks??
There has been some issues at various times with disk spinning up ..

Is the computer set to power nap? Try turning that off.
Try unplugging the external drive with itunes library and see if that helps.
If it is TM the attempts to start the backup should be in the log.

Make a backup of your stuff (from the phone. apps/photos/music/blabla). Update your phone. The phone will restore the backup automatically.

The driver I have is the most recent version. This is a Firefox problem....fix it!
It works perfectly on Internet Explorer and worked on Firefox before the last update so it's your problem.
