While viewing some video or watching live feeds iPad is kicking back to iPad home page.

Recently, I have begun experiencing some glitches while viewing videos from Facebook and while watching Big Brother Canada live feeds.  While watching the iPad will kick back to the iPad home page.  When it does this it can take several seconds (an eternity compared to normal) to load the home page icons.  It sticks on the blurred background without any icons for as stated several seconds.  When I attempt to return to the live feeds I get the message "there was a problem with the page and it had to be reloaded.  Can anyone help?  Could this be a lack of memory because I haven't purchased additional storage space from iCloud?

IIt has nothing to do with ICloud storage. ICloud storage is for backups only and not for actual cloud staorage. Your problem could have something to do with the iPad 2's lack or RAM while running iOS 8. Try closing all other apps when you want to watch videos and see if that makes a difference. ResER your iPad as well after you close the apps.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
In order to reset your iPad, hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen after which time you can release the buttons and let the iPad start up.

  • My iPad won't let me stay on some games and web sites. It sends me back to my home page after I have only been on the site a few minutes. How can I fix this?

My iPad won't let me stay on some games and web sites for more than a few minutes . It closes the site and takes me back to home screen. Why and how do I fix this?

For Safari you could try clearing its cache and history via Settings > Safari.
For Safari and your other apps you could close them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I cannot view some videos and participate in some websites since Adobe upgraded all to Flash 11.7. I have an older Mac G5 PowerPC (no Intel chip) running OS 10.5.8. I keep getting splash screens saying I have to update to Flash 11.7 but 11.7 is made for those Macs with an Intel chip. I am running the newest Flash for my system. It seems all concerned should have made Flash retro-compatible for those of us with older Macs. Is there a work around to this Flash requirement short of buying a new Mac with the Intel chip?

I'll bet you'll have better luck if you post your question in the Power Mac discussions here: https://discussions.apple.com/community/desktop_computers/power_mac
Either that, or one of the forums at Adobe.
    Good luck.

  • Why can't I view some videos on Internet sites?

Why can't I view some videos on Some Internet sites?

The iPad does not have Flash. Adobe does not make Flash for the iOS.So you either need a specific app, such as the YouTube app to view Flash video on the YouTube site, or you can get one of the very experimental Flash browsers for the iPad from the iTunes App Store.

    Hello there, Nina2800.
It sounds like you are having issues connecting to the iTunes Store and getting a blank page.  The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for verifying connectivity:

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.
Update iTunes to the latest version.
If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. To configure your firewall, please refer to the "Blocked by firewall" section in this article.
You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Click here to find out how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
If you are receiving a specific error message you may want to see, the "Specific Conditions and Alert Messages" section in this article as needed.
If the issue still persists, contact your internet service provider and confirm that the ports and servers in this article are enabled over your network.

  • YouTube app problem: Same file formats, cannot view some videos

This is weird. I uploaded several videos to YouTube with the same file format (.mkv) that YouTube supports.
I have two Playlists. Only the videos in one of those Playlists are playable on my touch. But the videos in the other Playlist are not supported by the touch:
    Video Unavailable
This video does not currently support iPod.
Now why, if 100% of my videos are of the same format and uploaded exactly the same way, do only the videos in one of my Playlists are viewable on my touch and the others are not?
I am viewing the videos from My Videos folder instead of the Playlists folder but it doesn't matter.
    Frustrating, to be sure.

I have to make a correction that makes this even more frustrating.
I found a few videos in that Playlist that I said can play on my touch that CANNOT be viewed on my touch! Some of the playable videos are marked private and others are marked unlisted but that doesn't seem to be part of the problem.
So this problem seems to be totally random. A few videos can be viewed on my touch, the others cannot.
    HELP!

  • Problem viewing some video files

I get this problem only with some video files, not all. They are all .mov files so it's hard to tell what is causing it. What it looks like is that the video and sound plays but the video is "barred out" with thick white stripes so it looks like three is only 1 pixel size width of video showing through. almost like this:
    "menu bar here"
Just pretend with the dotted lines, you can see the video in it's place. I tried reinstalling quicktime but it does not work. Any ideas

It seems I have two networks available at work, one is behind our firewall, and I login to it. This is the network that I can't view streaming video. There is also a "Guest" network that I don't need to login to. This one works with the YouTube and the news site videos.
Thus, I conclude there is a setting that WiFi network administrators can invoke that specifically can block streaming video on some protocols (whatever the ipod touch uses) and not others (whatever the Macbook uses). But the same router hardware supplying the Guest network does not block these protocols. Presumably this has to do with security on one side of the firewall(?)
Anyway, apparently outside of the WiFi controls available in the ipod touch settings.
    Weird...

  • I can no longer view some video such as the Daily Show

Ever since I have had my MacBook Pro (2years) I've been able to view any video  that I wished. Suddenly a few can no longer be viewed, such as Jon Stewart's the Daily Show.  Any ideas?

  • Please could someone tell me where I can get info on how to use my controls when watching live sports on sky go on my IPad mini !!!

Could someone please tell me where I can info on how to use the controls I.e live pause, forward, rewind etc when watching live shows on my ipad mini please.

well, i can't really tell if i am only allowed one connection with this isp. basically, whenever i plug in the ethernet cord, all of the information gets filled in in the ethernet section of the network, except for the router info. there is router info filled in on my sister's computer whenever i plug the cord into her computer, though. does that mean i can't also use the modem for my computer? sorry, this is both my first time using a mac and my first time using anything other than dial-up, so i'm pretty lost. thanks for the info you've given me thus far.

  • RSS Feed jumps back to my home page

I have a Mobile Me Account that points to my own URL. I've been using iWeb to create and update my site, and now I'd like to use the RSS feed so people can get the updates on my blog. However, when you click the RSS button on the site, it just jumps to my home page.
    Can any one help.
My site is www.teamkleinheinz.com if that helps at all.
    Thanks in advance.

If the above work, try a reset.
    1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
    2. For about 10 seconds
    3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)
    4. Ignore the red slider

  • 70% CPU load while viewing youtube video.

Can people check the CPU load for their browser under Activity Monitor while watching a youtube video? Mine is running at 70% which prevents me from doing that while on battery. I believe that is the reason some people's batteries are running down too fast. I wonder if leopard is having issues with Flash videos. Thanks! Bill

Just checked. My CPUs stay at about 30% when watching YouTube videos. (Which is still ridiculous, considering, but it doesn't seem any different than before Leopard.)
