White balance doesn't change when I paste my copy.

When I use preferences or copy paste, my white balance doesn't come with the paste or preference. Is there anybody who knows what could be the problem? (I've checked white balance in the box).

Aperture 3.1 - White Balance Doesn't Update

Since upgrading to 3.1 I have noticed a somewhat annoying behavior with the White Balance data.
When I change from one selected image in a project to another image the White Balance data does not update.
If I deselect so no image is displayed and then select the new image, the data does update.
This only happens with images on which I have not made a manual White Balance adjustment. If I have made an adjustment then the data displays correctly on the adjusted image when it is selected. However, then selecting an unadjusted image causes a reversion to the 'incorrect' behavior.
Note that the image appearance does not change, so the actual image is not affected by this, only the display of the data.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
If so - any suggestions on how to fix?

Custom white balance looks bad/off when set on the 5d Mark iii

I got my Mark iii in June and every time I set a custom white balance it doesn't look right. I have used both a purchased grey card and a white piece of paper, both look bad. When I set it on my Rebel Xs it looks perfect, no adjustments needed in post processing, but not the case with the Mark iii. Shouldn't it be the other way around, considering the price tag on the iii ?

Canon "tags" RAW images with meta-data regarding white balance (and other info) but does not actually alter the image. Depending on what you use to process the images on the computer, it can read those tags and decide to apply it's interpretation. But those white balance adjustments would be applied by your computer software (assuming they are being applied -- not all software does this) -- and not by the camera.
I use Aperture (Apple's pro photography software), which has a camera profile for each camera. The profiles can compensate if, for example, one camera is naturally "cooler" than another.

Camileo H10 - white balancing doesn't work

I have bought this recorder in December 2008. I have tested some records in interiors an exterior and I found, that white balancing doesnt work.
I can set it as auto or as manual, but all videos are little bit pink. Is it a firmware problem or is it a wrong piece? Where I can get new firmware?

On drivers download page please choose the follow criteria:

So there you can find Firmware Update version 1.1. Last modified date is 02/12/08.
In order to provide the best quality, updated Firmware for Camileo H10 to results with upgraded function as the follows.
1. Tune MIC input (Improve the volume of MIC)
2. Tune focus window (Improve the AF)
3. Tune AE to avoid the over exposure
4. Tune color matrix and saturation (Improve the color performance)
5. Tune noise filter (Improve the noise level)
6. Tune WB (improve the AWB)
7. Modify UI string in CZ
Here the steps how to do the F/W (Firmware) upgrade:
Firstly, there are two different language version of UI (User Interface) by EU&UK version and EEMEA version. Please select the proper file based on your preferring language.

*1.Copy F/W files to a SD card*
- Format SD card. Make sure FAT file system is selected before formatting.
- Copy the F/W files ( zburnT_C10.run.elf and DCIM folder ) to root directory of SD card
(PS: there is another folder and file under DCIM folder, please do not change content of this
DCIM folder)
*2. Update Firmware (Please make sure there is no battery inside the camera and AC adaptor is not connected to the camera)*
- Open panel first
- Insert SD card which has the F/W files
- Insert battery (make sure the battery is full), then plug in the AC power adapter to the camera.
- Press Shutter key when you see press shutter to update to start the update process. During F/W updating the LED will keep blinking. Do not remove battery or disconnect AC power adapter during this operation otherwise the camera will be damaged.
*3. Update Completed*
- The LED stops blinking after the firmware updating has been completed (Please make sure the LED stop blinking)
- Before reboot the camera please remove the AC power adapter, battery and SD card from camera in order to avoid updating firmware again.
- The F/W upgrade had been completed.
Please follow these steps and let me know if everything is Ok now.

Hyperlink color doesn't change when hovering over link

I create hyperlink, color I select for hovering over link works fine. But sometimes when I publish to my website the link color does not change, but the link works ok. I go back to my mac and check, sure enough the color changes just fine. I wipe out the link and reinsert new one. Works fine on the mac, but when I publish, color does not change when hovering. Help.

Welcome to the discussions. This is a long shot, but try clearing your browser's cache and reloading the page — then see if the color changes when hovering. ( In Safari, click on the Safari menu and choose +Empty Cache...+ )

White balance doesn't match CR2 EXIF colour temperature after import?

Why does Lightroom make it's own choice of white balance for "as shot"?
My CR2s from both a 40D and previous 350D all exhibit a shift in colour temperature compared to the EXIF data. It's not even consistent and a sequence of shots can visibly differ.
I know that camera auto white balance has its issues, but it does look like the camera makes a better initial guess than LR....

The numbers are dependent on the mathematical model used to model the distribution of wavelengths in the lightsource. The details are rather heady, but indeed, the black body temperature is not as well defined as you might think. This is because a lightsource is seldom an actual black body radiator (not even the sun is due to atmospheric absorption, diffuse scattering on dust particles, and Raleigh scattering on the air molecules). If it were you would not need the "tint" number to describe it. There are quite a few different models for this in use and so it is not strange to see different numbers for the same conditions. In ACR/lightroom they are even dependent on the camera profile if I understand this correctly. Bottom line is that what is neutral in the camera system is neutral in the ACR/Lightroom number system. That's all you need to know.

Fill Color Changes When I Paste a Shape, Flash CS6

Whenever I paste, or paste in place, a shape (this does not happen with strokes), the fill color I currently have selected will change to match the color of what I've just pasted. If I paste something with multiple colors, it randomly chooses one of those colors to switch to. I've tried running searches online for what this phenomenon is, or how to change it, but I've come up with nothing. I'm using a mac, but a friend uses Flash CS6 on her windows machine, and it does the same thing. This doesn't happen in CS4.
Is there a workaround? Or is this an annoying new feature I just have to live with?

I can only verify what you see and explain the behavior but I do not believe there is any way to alter that behavior. When the new object is added to the stage (via paste) Flash makes sure to select it and it's unavoidable (and desired behavior) that it would trigger the contextual (color) panels with the correct information for the current selection. This appears to be a bug in that regard.
You can always report it in a bug submission, I think the behavior is a clear bug and it should be easy to fix. It affects CS6 which is still a current product (due to AS2.0 support mostly), and CC, so it's important. Good find!

Icon doesn't change when copying file

Is there any reason that when I copy a file (.png in this case) to change an icon it doesn't work but when I did it by dragging the picture itself from the website it worked?

you need to make sure you clicked on the icon before copying or pasting it. it should have a blue halo/drop shadow/highlight around it.

Please help! I hate so many things about AW6. Here's one: the problem that's irritating me now is when I cut/copy and paste within the same document I lose all formatting (font, etc.) and have to fix it EVERY TIME! Please tell me that there is a quick and easy fix to this.
Also tell the "geniuses" at Apple that they are really screwing up a good thing! I've bee a Mac user since the Classic days and I've never been so disgusted.

Peggy's already noted a User Tip which contains a fix for this problem. But if for some reason this doesn't work on all documents you might find it a bit easier to repeatedly change the font of chunks of text using my free AppleWorks Text Formatter.

Note also that has been a problem with AppleWorks since version 5 was released about 8 years ago. It isn't new to AppleWorks 6.

Iphone screen doesn't change when lifted to talk

I have a new iphone 5. The screen doesn't shut off when I lift the phone to my ear to talk like my iphone 4s. Is this a defect or is there something I can do to change this feature?

It is possible that your proximity sensor is broken. Take your phone to an apple store and let them have a look at it, since that is probably a hardware issue. It could also be a software problem and restoring your iphone could help, perhaps. But take your phone to an apple store, and if youre still under warranty, you could get a new iphone. Cheers

Subportal doesn't change when the user's group is changed, until next login

Hi,
We have two subportals: Physician and Resident. We also have two groups: Physicians and Residents. Users belonging to Physicians see the Physician subportal when they login, and Residents see the Resident suportal. When a Resident becomes a Physician, we move the user from the Resident group to the Physician group (programmatically) when they log in for the first time after this event. Unfortunately, the resident still gets logged in to the Resident subportal. However the next time they log in, they are sent to the Physician subportal. So we are logging out the user when this happens. Can anyone suggest how the user can be redirected to the correct subportal after a group change? Could this be some kind of caching issue? Maybe there is a way to log the user in a second time behind the scenes?
We are using Plumtree version 5.5

In reply to my own post, what we ended up doing eventually was a behind the scenes log out and log back in. Unfortunately we had to store the password in session, which is not a good practice.

Access Connections - IP doesn't change when switching locations

In my Access Connections setup, I have a mix of profiles; some using DHCP & some using static IPs.
I am experiencing problem when manually switching between profiles, where the IP address is not always changing as expected.
For example:
(all profiles are wired connections)
Home (DHCP)
IP address: Allocated by DHCP
Subnet mask: Allocated by DHCP
Default gateway: 10.0.0.1
DNS servers: Allocated by DHCP
Office 1 (Static)
IP address: 203.18.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.240
Default gateway: 203.18.y.y
DNS servers: 10.10.140.7, 10.10.140.12, 203.18.z.z
Office 2 (Static)
IP address: 10.10.140.202

On many occasions when switching from, say, "Office 2" to "Home"; the static IP address for Office 2 (10.10.140.202) is not being replaced by a new IP allocated from my home router (which, by the way is configured to allocate IPs from the pool 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.4; so the old IP address should not be valid on that network).
What is even more interesting is when you take DHCP out of the equation, for example when switching from, say, "Office 2" to "Office 1" (both of which are static IP profiles). The IP address 10.10.140.202 (Office 2) should be replaced by the static IP 203.18.x.x (Office 1) in all cases. However on many occasions it is not, and I'm left with the previous IP allocated.
Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?
I've found that by switching back and forth between profiles, it eventually resolves itself (although sometimes up to 3 or 4 switches is required).

AC 4.42 fail to assign a static IP when the OS is in spanish and the wireless device is Intel. In that case the problem was fixed with a patch that the support guys release.
In your case, I don't know my friend.
Have you tried using only Windows, without AC?

Metadata window doesn't change when new thumb is selected

Since recent update I have the following problem several times a day:
I add metadata (in split window) to a few pics. Click on another thumbnail to edit its metadata and the metadata window (left of screen) doesn't show info for the newly-clicked-on pic. It continues to show info from previous pic. Can't change that window regardless of the view or how many other pics I click on.
Only solution I've found is to close and reopen. This happened four times yesterday, and again, within 10 minutes of starting to edit today.
I looked into plists for Aperture (home>library>app support), but there are a lot of them and I'm not sure which might be causing the problem—or if any are.

Why data in PSA doesn't change when update rule routine is modified?

Hello guys,
why data in PSA is not changed after I modifiied the update rule routine. I created a infopackage which is only to PSA, but it shows me any change. If I changed this infopackage to the one which is assigned to "PSA firstly, and then to Infoobject", then I saw the changes in infoobject, but in PSA, still nothing changed.
I can't figure out the reason. Any hint is welcome!

1) PSA data is like of source system data
2)Update rules are how you update your keyfigures to Data Tragets.
Since you have put upto PSA that is the first data staging in BW so there wont be any change of the data even if you write routines at update rules.

Apple Mail message read status doesn't change when read

In Apple Mail, when getting mail from an Exchange 2010 server on the corp LAN works great. However, on about 2 out of 10 messages, after I read the message it still has the "dot" showing it as unread and I have to manually select mark > as read. I even let it sit for a while thinking it has to sync but no luck. I still have to manually mark it. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

To clarify something else, the unread mail badge disappears off of the app in the tray as well as the inbox in the lefthand column. But the blue dot remains on the conversation thread.
