White Blobs on HP w2338h monitor

I turned on my monitor today and there are white blob streaks on the bottom right corner - does anyone know what these are?
Can they be fixed?

Hello @lzdubs,
I can see from the image you posted the white blobs you are describing and I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try different cables between your computer and monitor.
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • Rendering white flicker on the program monitor and output video file. How to get rid of this flicker in adobe premiere pro cc 2014?

    Hello,
I have been working with long sequences in adobe premiere pro cc 2014. All of sudden, I see white flicker in the program monitor and rendered output too. The flicker does not follow any pattern. It is very random.
How to work around on this?
    Regards
    Naveen Alle

Concurrently working on the same project it requires a specific implementation in all editing programs like Avid's Unity/ ISIS shared storage. That's what you are simply not considering. none of your issues would be any problem if your projects resided on a commonly accessed server or something like that. Check respective hardware solutions.

  • HP w2338h Monitor Problem

I own a HP w2338h monitor and every time I shut down my computer and restart later my homepage shifts from where it was set on my monitor( usually shifts to the left ), then I have to pull it back over to the right back to where it was. Can anyone tell me how I can keep it locked in the position it was in when I shut down the computer?, would appreciate any feedback, Thanx DavidB544.

That kind of sounds like the resolution is changing when you shut down, but, would need more info about the situation (is your homepage in a webbrowser in a window, for example) to be sure. Also, if that is the issue, which would be weird, im not sure how to fix that other than finding the resolution it's shutting down with and just using that resolution.
    Sorry bud, good luck.

  • HP w2338h monitor not turning on!!!

my HP w2338h monitor is not turning on. My computer is on, blue power button, screeching noise, the whole enchilada. I shook the mouse, clicked aimlessly, then tapped the space bar until the speakers told me to stop. I pressed the power button on the screen. It turned on, and said "monitor going to sleep". Then shut off again. Because the screen was off, Sadly, I had to turn it off with the button on top of the computer ( If you don't know, that is extremely bad for the computer). It didn't turn off. I haven't tried turning the power strip off, and I don't want to, but it seems like my only option.
If it helps, I have an HP Pavilion p6387c, product number #VT650AA#ABA, and an HP w2338h monitor.

I understand that you are getting "Monitor going to sleep" message when you turn your computer on. I would like you to hard reset your entire computer by unplugging it from the power bar and from the back of both the computer and the monitor. Then hold the power button on the computer down for 30 seconds. When you are done that do the same for the monitor. Once this is complete plug them back in and start up your computer.

  • White Balance - Eye Dropper and Monitor Calibration

Does the eye dropper correctly set the white point even if the monitor is not correctly calibrated? I do calibrate monthly with the XRite but I'm not sure that the calibration is perfect.
I use a grey card, and the eye dropper in LR. So even though I calibrate - must the monitor be correctly calibrated for the eye dropper to work?
... and now tell me what monitor you love for photo editing.  Thanks

    Thanks for this answer,
I am using a Dell LCD monitor and have been happy with the color, but can not get skin tones right in my prints,  they look washed out after I do a grey card white balance.  So I just ordered a Eizo CG222WBK,  now I'll only have myself to blame if my images don't look right

    Hi Sabrinann21,
I'm not sure what you mean by the "white blob."  Does it look something like this?
If so, that white circle that you see on the right side of the screen is Assistive Touch and can be turned off in the Accessibility settings on the iPhone.

  • IPhone 4S screen stuck w white blob

My iPhone 4S (7.0.3) is stuck and irresponsive.
It has a withe fairly square white blob positioned at the center of the screen covering most of it. See attached.
    What to do?

Basics from the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.  If NONE of these steps work, bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

  • Source File shows White Screen in Source + Program Monitor

    Hello,
I'm having an issue with only one of three media files in my Premiere Pro CS6 project.
When I try to preview this one video file in the Source Monitor, it shows only a white screen, and I can only move the playhead to the beginning and end of the file. I then plopped the clip into the sequence to see if rendering it would give me better luck in the Program Monitor, yet to no avail. The file supposedly successfully rendered, yet when I open the subsequently created "Preview" file in VLC, the entire clip is completely white for its entire duration. (I think it's interesting to note that VLC plays the source file correctly, and that this footage has been successfully used in a separate project in Final Cut after converted to ProRes with Compressor.)
I've opened the file with GSpot to make sure I had the Codec installed, yet GSpot doesn't list any Codec information for this file. It only lists Container information.
(Screen shot of GSpot with white-screen issue in the background)
My Video Card drivers are up to date, taken directly from the chipset's manufacturer's website.
Codec: (See post below for Media Info dump)
Premiere Pro version 6.0.3 (001 (MC: 264587)), installed in English.
Sequence Settings: DVCPROHD 1080i50 default settings (framerate changed to 50FPS)

    2GB RAM
Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Driver version 8.15.10.2869
53.2GB of free space on the SSD all of the media files, the operating system, the Adobe Premiere installation, and scratch disk is located.
I'm unsure of the camera used to record this footage.
Thanks for reading my post, and let me know if you need any more information.

  • HP w2338h Monitor

I have a HP w2338h 24" monitor that just went blank.  The power light is on but nothing on the screen.  I tried hooking the monitor to another computer but it did not show anything.  I am currently using an old monitor I had so I can get on the net. Is there a fuse in the monitor that blew or is it the power supply?

  • White point selection when profiling monitor

When profiling monitor, many sources say that begin with the native white point of monitor and then compare different white points in order to find best working white point selection for your ambient conditions.
There is an option in i1Display Pro and you can specify the target white point as the CCT of ambient lighting conditions.
I decided to try this one ... and I calibrated my monitor exactly what the instructions said, but at the end I got completely unrelated achieved CCT as seen in the following image.
I would like to learn the reason for such a unrelated finish.
My second question: From the point of view of color theory, what do you think about specifying the target white point as the CCT of ambient lighting?
And, my last question: I've got contrast ratios approximately 1:700 from my previous measurements, but now it said that it is 1:425 as seen in the image ... what do you think about such a great difference from a measurement to a measurement?
    Thanks a lot ...

  • Screen with random white blob

I pulled my 32 gb iPod touch out of my pocket, turned on the screen and randomly there was a huge white faded blob in the middle of my screen, but it had a line seperating the blob and the normal screen.  It was not near water, nor had I dropped it, I simply pulled it out of my pocket.  What I want to know is how to fix it, and it is still under my year warrenty and does it cover that?

Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue. It would be covered. Contact Apple.

  • Flashing white/green pixels on external monitor

Hello everyone, I just purchased a 15" MBP with the hi-res antiglare monitor. I upgraded from a black Macbook, which was connected to my 24" Samsung monitor with a Displayport to DVI adapter. When I bought the new MBP, I also bought a new miniDisplayport to DVI adapter. I just now hooked up my MBP with the new adapter to the Samsung monitor and there are/were two issues.
    1) When I imported my photos off of my DSLR camera, I noticed green flickering pixels stuck on the images. These pixels moved and flashed with the image, so I know they weren't dead. When viewing those images on my regular 15" MBP monitor, those pixels were not there. They were only on the external monitor. I thought this may be an issue with my DSLR/image import, but then I noticed random purple/green pixel artifacts on an ad on Facebook as well.
    2) I reset the NVRAM, flipped the DVI cord out and around, and reconnected it. Now, the green pixels do not seem to show up BUT there are now tons of tiny white pixels flashing across my entire screen. I disconnected/reconnected the display connector several times, and I was able to recreate #1 once. I haven't bena able to again.
I reconnected my old Macbook with the old adapter to the monitor and there were none of these issues.
What might be the problem? I can't capture the pixelation effect on screen capture.
    I'm thinking its either:
    An issue of Mountain Lion
    My Macbook Pro's software
    My Macbook Pro's hardware
    The miniDisplayport adapter.
    Thanks,
    -Max

Having the exact same issue. I'm getting the problem on my LG Flatron E2742 external display, from a Thunderbolt to HDMI out from my 2012 MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion.
The issue began yesterday when I connected my MBP to a HDMI Projector. I noticed, via the projected image, the beginning of the dancing white/green pixels. What's really weird is that when I connected my MBP back to my standard LG External display, the dancing white pixels were still there!
MAYBE it's something that happeend to my thunderbolt to HDMI cable in the process? Haven't experimented with another cable to confirm this. BUT, something tells me it's actually software related, because when I first plugged in my external display this morning, it began flickering/staticing/spazzing out like CRAZY. After some poking around and forums, I eventually changed my display color profile and it went back to normal, EXCEPT for the dancing white/green pixels.
Any words of wisdom out there about this situation would be much appreciated.
