White borders around photos with IOS7

Since updating to IOS7, why do my photos have white borders around them even in landscape? I have looked in settings and anywhere I can think of and can not fined a way to get rid of it. This has to be something that I am overlooking. Any help is appreciated!
It doesn't matter if the picture is taken in portrait or landscape, it has a thick white border around the picture.

No, the white borders do not appear in iWeb. As far as the browser, sometimes I can export the site and it renders fine, other times the white borders appear.
Like I said before, the graphics with the borders aren't consistent. Different fraphics have the white border if I re-publish the site to a folder.
Please note... unlike other questions posted in this topic, my white lines do not disappear when the page is loaded. They stay there... and ONLY on the index page.

  • Finder List View and White Border around photo image files (icon preview)

Hey everyone, just curious if anyone knows how to remove the stripes from list view in the finder window? I tried a method that worked for Leopard but no luck with Snow. And for photos, the icon previews have real thick white borders around them, can these be removed (or at least inverted)? They are so distracting when looking through hundreds of images...
    Thanks,
    Jason

I just found an app that will get rid of the white borders and preserve the original date in the photo's EXIF data. It is CocoThumbX and can be downloaded from http://www.stalkingwolf.net/software/cocothumbx/.

  • White borders around Firefox entry boxes

Hi. I'm trying to fix / work around a quirky cosmetic bug that occurs in Firefox (OpenOffice, too) with Murrine SVN and, unfortunately, other GTK engines. There are white borders around entry boxes, that disappear if I mouse-over them, but reappear when I do, well, anything. I was going to work around it by theming the entry boxes with Clearlooks instead of Murrine, but it suffers from the same problem (it's more glaring there, actually). Standard Murrine from community, and Murrine from Ubuntu (aur package) do not suffer from this problem, but unfortunately, it cannot co-exist with Murrine SVN.
Here's a screenshot of the problem in question:
How would you suggest I work around, or preferably, fix this problem?

It appears to be a bug in the SpryMenuBar.js v0.12 after all.
I found an acceptable solution by commenting out line 163
    changing
    this.addClassName(items
    , this.isieClass);
    to
    // this.addClassName(items, this.isieClass);
Now the menu is rendered correctly without the white
    borders/margins.
I guess it is not always IE's fault ;-)

I have an iMac using Lion. I have an icon on the dock for Fluenz software but it has a white circle around it with a white slash through it (like the international "no" sign).  What does the circle mean?  The Fluenz software seems to work ok.

Checkout the software vendor's website for updates:

  • Getting rid of white border around photos when using iphoto to iweb

    Hi there,
Am creating web pages in iweb and importing photos from iphoto. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the white border around my photos (image frame)? Hoping to enhance some of the templates with my own images. I also have photoshop elements and have been having the same problem there. Sure appreciate. Kim Strouble

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The link to the site is broken. There is a fix for some of the strange goings on since the MobileMe conversion. See Wyodor's post in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1605665&tstart=0. After applying the fix to iWeb I found I might have to republish a second time, occasionally a third and make sure I cleared my browser's cache.
If you're using Firefox 3 that's a different solution that can be found here: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7486799#7486799
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • What is causing white lines around photos in Muse?

Some of my photos are showing up on the preview with thin white lines at the bottom or side. Lines don't show up in the originals in design. Also checked box for no stroke around photo? Any ideas how to remove it?

As soon as you flatten do you see the problem in Illustrator, or after you make a .pdf?
Is that a soft drop shadow on the S, what happens if you temporarily remove the shadow?
What setting do you have for document setup >>  transparency? Do you have any blending modes assigned?
So you have both CS6 & CC, did this happen before the cash cow was installed?  I would say so turn off smoothing in Acrobat as in my initial screenshot, but you say that this happens even in other non pdf formats. Try resetting your preferences, this looks like a tranparency flattening issue.

  • White borders around published project

I'd like my published file to fill up my entire screen, so that it looks as though I'm interacting with the actual application. I created a project sized 1024x768, which is the same setting as my computer display.. I selected Project>Skin and deselected the Show playback control checkbox to eliminate the playback navigation bar..I selected the Full Screen Output option in the Publish window. When I publish, the display has a white border around it. Suggestions?

    Hi,
    Cud you try this:
    1.Go to Project->Skin Editor.
    2.Select the second tab
    3.Uncheck the show borders.
Publish your project and check if you are still getting it.Also can you increase the size of the project as little bigger (+5)than the resolution and try as well.
    Thanks,
    Sikandar

  • Help!!  White line around image with placed in Illustrator from Photoshop, possible CMYK issue?

I have a CMYK file, outlined product, that looks perfect in Photoshop.  When I place the image into Illustrator, it shows up with a thin white line around parts of the product (fyi - it shows up on a print as well). I have tried to place an RGB file and it does not have the white line around the product.    I assume it has something to do with it being CMYK, but I'm at a loss on how to fix this.  I'm desperate for any help.

Okay, please refer this image and change the option within Ai General preferences. Uncheck the option Anti-Aliased artwork.

  • White lines around texts with object effects applied

I am having a persistent problem with InDesign's output of PDFs when I have applied object effects to text boxes.
When I use an effect—such as emboss (shown in samples) or outer glow—on a text box, the PDF renders it with white lines around the text boxes (sometimes with more than one).
See the attached samples; the boxes are clearly visible with a 3rd party PDF viewer, such as Skim; less so with Acrobat Pro, but still there. It's there when I open the PDF in Photoshop, as well.
I've tried playing with transparency flattening settings, and with merging the layers into a single layer. No help.
The sample shown has an emboss effect applied, transparency flattening set to high resolution (ignoring style overrides), and a single merged layer.
    Any help?
    In Acrobat Pro:
    In Photoshop:
    In Skim:

    Thanks so much, Bob.
My printer requires that I use the PDF/X-1a:2001 standard for PDF export, which means that it must be Acrobat 4 or later compatibility.
Also: I don't see how to NOT flatten, when exporting PDF for print; the options for flattening are "low resolution," "medium resolution," or "high resolution"—but there is not an option to NOT flatten. Do you know a work-around for this?

  • White Borders Around the Left and Right Edge of a Published Movie

Does anyone know how to get rid of the white borders that are around the left and right edge of a published movie? It looks like they are about a 1 pixel border. I have the "show borders" unchecked in the themes options.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You need to add some CSS code into the HEAD area of you HTML publishing template to remove the default HTML margin.
    <style>{margin:0px;}</style>

  • Totally stuck. Can't edit white borders around my clips instead of yellow

    Hello,
I'm working on a project, but FCPX won't let me edit in my timeline.  The one thing that I notice is that when I highlight clips to edit, instead of being surrounded with a yellow border, they're outlined in a white border. Also, the playhead and the skimmer line are faded and dull.  I've tried rebooting, but it just comes back to this same state of affairs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • White borders around fireworks tables

this is really starting to irritate me. everytime I export html from fireworks just like I've done a million plus times with dreamweaver cs5 and fireworks cs5 there was no border. with cs6 everytime I've changed the css, Ive changed the page properties, set fireworks to not export spacers. what more can I do? this is a bug with the program as Ive have tried doing the same thing with cs 5 and it works. aside from discontiuning my creative cloud membership and going back to CS5 what can I do?.

The solution to your problem is likely to be in the code generated by your application.  Without the code we are just going to guess what the heck is going on and you will be irritated even more.  So, how about providing a link to your test page which we all can see from our desks?
    Good luck.

  • Printing white borders, HP 6520

MY HP 6520 is not connected to the computer...it stands alone.  I use it primarily for printing photos.  I am having a problem trying to set-up white borders around the print.  For some reason I am getting a BLUE border which I want to eliminate.  How do I set up the photo with WHITE borders?  How do I eliminate the BLUE borders?

    Hi MP216,
Thank you for the quick response, I truly appreciate it.
I have included a document about Printing the Photos from a Memory Card.  It reviews the different options that are available for printing photos from a memory card.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about the originals. I was asking if the blue border showed on the photos loaded onto the memory card. I once took a large number of pictures with my sister's Smartphone at my parent's 50th wedding anniversary and didn't realize I had turned on the decorative settings. The end result was all those photos now have a funky border that can't be taken out. I was asking if the photos you're trying to print already have the blue border on them.
