White horizontal line on screen even on printed photos is it a sensor issue?

White line is always there  on lcd screen while shooting and on the photos downloaded on PC.. Does anyone knows what causes this issue-censor or something else?

If it shows on camera LCD when you are previewing image and also on image when you print then its in the file.
First try formatting the card. If that doesn't cure it then it would seem to be a sensor issue.

  • White horizontal lines only in Magenta solid print area.

When printing a solid magenta there are white horizontal lines.
I have cleaned the print head to level three with no positive results.
    What can be done?
The other three colors print perfectly.

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model?  Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?  Are the lines spaced regurlarily or randomly?
A pattern of regular repeating lines would generally be the result of an electrical issue between the printer and printhead.  Cleaning the contacts in both the cartridge and printer as shown in the document here may help resolve the issue.

  • When doing the app exposé gesture, is it normal to see a thin white horizontal line at the bottom of the screen after minimizing a window?

I noticed that when I open two windoes (say Safari and Trash can) and minimize both windows so they go on the dock, when I do the swip down gesture with 3 fingers (App Expose´) there is a thin white horizontal line at the bottom of the screen. Does it happen to every macbook pro out there?  Is this normal?  Hope it's not a display screen problem...

You would have to have multiple pages of the app minimized.
This is what it looks like with Safari with 1 page open and 4 minimized.

  • 40 inch Samsung LCD White Horizontal lines running up the screen constantly

My brand new Samsung 40 inch tv (purchased in mid-December) has white horizontal lines running up the screen constantly.  From what I heard, the electricity in my house my not be grounded, but no other tv in my house does this, so I doubt this is the case.  Has anybody else had this issue and is it too late to return the tv?  Thanks.

Does it do it on other sources like a DVD?  If so you may have a TV problem. Have you tried to do a factory reset or restore? Have you tried plugging it into an outlet in a different part of the house? As a last resort have you tried taking it back to the store and see if it works there? Also have you tried a filter on the AC plud in? Just some suggestions to try and help you out.

  • What is the white horizontal line and red vertical line on my brand new ipad mini?

Bought a brand new ipad mini 2 for my sons Christmas, took it out the box and it was during the set up process, ie entering his iTunes and icloud account, a white horizontal line and a red vertical line appeared on the screen and is there all the time now.  Have tried switching off and on and resetting, but it is still there.  Any ideas??

    Hi Tolmivooz,
So the lines didn't appear until you were into the setup?
Does the orientation of the lines change when you rotate the screen?
Thanks for trying the restart and reset. Please see if a restore helps.

  • Why do I have white horizontal lines on my Macbook Pro Retina?

When I am using my 15" Macbook Pro, there are often white horizontal lines that run across the screen. It usually happens when I am watching a video, typing, scrolling or just sitting on the desktop. There are days where the screen is perfect and there are no problems; there are also days where it happens so frequently that some videos becomes unwatchable due to the distracting lines flickering and flashing on the screen. They don't stay all the time but I'd love to know what the problem actually is. Thank you for reading, and please help me out.

    Hi there JohnRendleman,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.

  • White horizontal line on macbook pro retina display

When I scroll through photos, sometimes a white horizontal line will span the screen for a short time. It will span the whole screen for less than a fraction of a second so it was difficult to take a photo of it. I managed to do it but here the line is only halfway across the photo I was looking at.
Does anyone know what this line is and how I can avoid having it?

Take the MBPr back to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check it out while still under warranty...a graphics module problem will need their attention.

  • Thin Horizontal Line Across Screen

I've had them before and they disappeared spontaneosly. The latest one seems to want to hang around. Any idea how to get rid of it?

This is a followup to my post earlier today. A web search on "Thin Horizontal Line Across Screen" turned up this article:
    http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/post24947-5.html
Sure enough, my horizontal line came back. I decided to follow the advice in the linked article. I didn't even have to twist the monitor. I barely tapped the screen as I was reaching up to twist the panel, and the line disappeared. This suggests to me that the problem is a loose internal connection between the driver circuitry and the panel.

  • White horizontal lines on 15" flat panel G4

I have white horizontal lines running across the screen of my 15" flat panel G4 i-mac (2003).
This first happened 1.5 years ago, when my apartment flooded and there was a lot of humidity in the room. The problem disappeared after a day or so.
Until now, it has only recurred once, and disappeared after a day. This time, however, the problem has persisted for a week; I have not left the computer on for longer than 5 minutes at a time since. I have not performed diagnostics of any kind, and am hesitant to play with hardware.
I would definitely appreciate any tips or suggestions.
    TIA -
    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,
It is possible that you have a bit of crud on the motherboard (which is causing the graphics card circuitry to act up). This may be as a result of your earlier episode.
Given that getting to it on an iMac is a fairly involved task, as well as cleaning it, I would take it to an appropriate service centre and see whether they can give it a clean and get it working that way.
    Cheers!

Hi When going from Develop module to print module a white boarder appears on screen which also prints via my epson r3000 printer. I can get round this by exporting photo to Elements and printing from there but can i get rid of the boarder and print from lightroom?

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.

  • Why am I seeing a thin white horizontal line on my 27" iMac?

Why am I seeing a thin white horizontal line across the center of my monito?

Obvious suspects are the monitor itself or the video card.
Boot in safe mode and see if the line is still there (just to see what happens when quarts extreme isn't running).

If you take a screenshot (Press the home button and Lock button at the same time), does it appear on the screenshot? Zoom in on the screenshot and see if it's still there.
If not, then your display is failing. I would recommend taking it to an Apple Store if you can, if you can't then to an authorised Apple reseller.
If it does appear on the screenshot when you zoom into the spot, then it's a really weird software issue! You might have to backup and restore the device.
    Let me know!

  • Thin white horizontal line over top of photo & top of QT clip?

I inserted a JPEG photo on my home page as well as video clips on other pages. Working in iWeb they look fine. After they are published, there is a thin white horizontal line that sits on top of the JPEG photo (from its left margin to its right margin). The same white line shows on the upper top horizontal frame of QT Movie clips that I have inserted on other pages.
It is important to note here that on this website the background color is purposely black on all pages...so the white line is very noticeable (albeit small in width...only about 1-2 points) and I don't want to flip the background color to white to hide it.
Does anyone know how to get around this? Or is it a normal glitch you have to live with black backgrounds?
Otherwise, everything looks and works great...
    John

Does it happen only on one kind of page? It has to do with the placeholders used maybe. The picture does not fit the box exactly. You can adjust the measurements of the picture on the vertical maybe one or two pixels. Or you can tell iWeb to re-render the picture by taking the picture down below 100% opaque. Make it 99% in the opacity changer.

  • Horizontal lines on screen

Hello, when I start up in Safe Mode and only in Safe Mode in my iMac (mid 2011- HD 6970M 2048 MB) appears white horizontal lines. Not a big problem but I worry if something starts here. I changed already the graphic card almost before a year.
    Any ideas ?

I have no idea, but the Apple Store will.

  • Macbook w/ whole slew of problems...Won't Start Up, Disk Utility Can't Repair Disk, Horizontal Lines on Screen, Etc.

I purchased my Macbook in the summer of 2011 and before it went berserk it was running Mavericks. 3 years later, it's finally seemed to have run its course.
It won't start up normally and it won't start up on safe boot. Attempting to use disk utility to repair the disk only gives me the message: "Disk utility can't repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible." There are also horizontal lines across the start screen (before it inevitably shuts down) and the screen looks very faintly purple-ish/off-colored.
This actually didn't come out of the blue. On Monday, my macbook suddenly froze, went white, and beeped three beeps repeatedly. I restarted it and backed up all my important work files and set up an appointment at the genius bar for Friday once work ended. It remained buggy during this process with the beeps returning an occasionally a blue screen popping up.
Unfortunately, there wasn't enough space to back up my important photos and by the time I returned on the next day with an external hard drive to store them on, my macbook would no longer turn on.
Is there anything I can do to bring my macbook back to life? Ideally I'd like for it to last one more year before I graduate college. Is it still salvageable, and if so, is it worth salvaging?

I hate to spread gloom, but that computer has serious problems. The only people who can diagnose the problem(s) are technicians. I would take it back to the Apple store for further testing.
