White iphone 4.0 dropping signal

I recently got a white iphone 4.0 and noticed that if i have a full signal and hold the phone on my left hand, the signal progressively drops until i have no signal, if i let go after a few seconds the signal comes back up. also happens if i hold it in my right hand but the signal only drops slightly not completely, Any ideas??

My best guess is that the white iPhone will have 36 inch, telescoping, whip antenna.

Help my iphone 5 keeps dropping signal saying no service then after a while it gets service again, sometimes this can take up to an hour. Try restarting your iPhone. Press and hold the power and home button for 10 seconds and then turn your device back on. Otherwise, the place where you currently are may not have very good signal for ATT.

New iPhone 3g continuously dropping signal strength for no reason...HELP

Hello. My wife & I have been iPhone users since they few came out. Today I picked up our new 3g's and while her's always maintains a good, steady, strong signal...mine will continuously drop the signal down to one or no bars. This happens in areas where I've always had signal (ie: my house) & I compare her's to mine at the time & she continues to have full 5 bars. Any theories???

Hi - I noticed that, yes, she had 3g "off" & I had 3g "on." Once I turned off my 3g I had full bars. Does this mean that 3g hinders the actual cell signal for receiving calls? Or when 3g is "on" do the bars then only show 3g signal & not the phones ability to receive calls? Thanks!

IPhone 3G WiFi Dropping, Signal Stength Still High, Extreme and DHCP?

I've been having problems with my iPhone 3G WiFi (I had the same with my First Gen iPhone too), where it lost the ability to connect to the Internet, although the WiFi connection was still active and showing full signal.
A reset of the Extreme and a various combination of resetting network settings / forgetting network / renewing DHCP Lease etc on the iPhone normally gets it going again, but not something you want to do every 30 minutes !
My Extreme is connected to a NetGear DG824M ADSL Wireless router, that I used before I had the Extreme (bought for a longer range and the 'n' spec so quicker wi-fi moving files around in the house, to Apple TV etc).
The NetGear's Wi-Fi is off, and the Extreme is working in Bridge Mode. I can get Internet connectivity with all devices with either the NetGear DHCP option on or off. I've tried tying DHCP addresses to the respective Mac addresses.
I've read elsewhere that the Extreme should be serving DHCP for the rid the iPhone of this issue, but cannot set this up. I must admit to being a bit confused over the basics here.
My ADSL Connection is with BT, and therefore I believe PPPoA (?) which requires a username / password.
Any help in setting this up, and indeed if this could even be the issue with the iPhone dropping much appreciated. I've searched every forum posting here on on each Mac site for months without any joy !

If the problem appears to be isolated to only your AirPort Extreme, in other words it doesn't happen while connected to other Wi-Fi networks, a "hard reset" is justified:
To "hard reset" an AirPort Base Station: make sure it's powered up, then gently press and hold its tiny reset button. Don't apply any more force than required to feel a tactile click. Keep it depressed for five to ten seconds, long enough for its LED to flash amber rapidly. Release the reset button. Then, the LED will glow amber steadily for about a minute. Then, it will flash amber, slowly, about once every second or two, waiting for you to configure it with AirPort Utility.

IPhone 5 Wi-Fi signal issues

Upgraded from iPhone 4 to 5 this week.
New iPhone 5 constantly loses wi-fi signal in any other room in my house except the room where the actual router is based. Router is 2 months old N series, works perfectly. Interestingly I upgraded this router so my iPhone 4 could reach it in every room = worked 100%.
This problem does not exist on my other iPhone 4, 4S, iPad, Mac Book, PS3, televisions! and 2 laptops. Just the iPhone 5. I have control tested this to make sure my statement is 100% factual.
This is not limited to just my house. EXACT same issue exists at my place of work and several hotels I have visited in the last few days.
The wifi signal received by the iPhone 5 is constantly intermittant. Sometimes it works for a few moments then drops out, all without even moving it.
I have performed a full factory reset. No improvement. I have performed a network setting reset. No improvement.
ALSO... My company ordered 10 of these that were received on early this week and the majority of people with these new iPhone 5's are all reporting the EXACT same issues. Therefore... I suspect this is an iPhone 5 related issue, not individual specific handsets. e.g. a replacement handset will have the same issue.
Ultimately I am after some form of acknowledgement that Apple are aware of this and working on a 'patch' to fix it.
If anyone has any suggestions to resolve this wi-fi issue please let me know.

In the kitchen. White iPhone 4 = full signal. iPad 1 = full signal = iPhone 5 = NO SIGNAL.
In the dining room. Same as above.
In the master bedroom. White iPhone 4 = Full signal. iPad 1 = No Signal. iPhone 5 = sinal BUT will not connect.
Issue is... The iPhone 5 has worked in all of these rooms at some points. It just drops out ALL of the time. All other devices are connected 100% of the time with ZERO issues.
I have followed the instructions in the link above and made 1 amendment to my router to only use AES security. Zero improvement.
I have also conducted this same test on another iPhone 5 with the exact same results meaning this is not specifically limited to just my new iPhone 5...
Anyone have any suggestions? Apple????

my battery ***** i watch it drain during the day even if im just texting.
is it because i have the white iphone 4? or is it the 4.3.3 firmware and how can i fix this?
someone at work has the black iphone 4 and can listen to music, play games, and surf the web with the
battery at the end of the day with more than 50% battery left... i can not.. it dropped 10 percent while
just texting after un plugging it.. i've tried doing the mail thing.. doesnt work..and this is my second white iphone 4

Yes... the white iPhone requires twice as much power to perform the same tasks as the black iPhone.
Simple reason is because it's so busy screaming "LOOK AT ME, I AM SPECIAL. I AM THE WHITE IPHONE!".
Seriously though... the ONLY difference between the white and black iPhone is the color of the device.
There are many reasons why one device will last longer than another. These could include usage, mail sync settings, whether 3G/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth are left on at all times, and signal strength.
If you really feel you have a battery issue, as gdgmacguy suggested, schedule an appointment with the local genius bar and have them check it out.

I've been experiencing with the same problem lately. Have you tried getting a new sim card?
With the new sim it seems to work well for a few days and then it goes back to the same problem. The warranty on my phone just ended about a month ago, and I've never dropped it and no water damage either. When I do a erase all and reset, it seems to work for a few days again and comes back to the same issue. I've deleted all my apps and been using the phone just as a phone and txting device. New IOS update doesn't seem to change this issue either. I've been getting by with doing a network reset and turning it off and on a few times a day.
Anyone have any solution? Much appreciated!

Iphone 6 plus weak signal

Hi all
my 2 week old iPhone 6 plus gave me a few headache issue:
1. Weak and dropped signal: when I turn my phone to landscape mode for gaming, the signal drops and failed to continue for gaming.
i have reset network settings, change SIM card, reboot, it is not helping.
2. Wifi connection issue: poor connection, sometimes will disconnect
3. Activation mode: the phone will clash in certain apps and went into activation mode often, one day 3 to 4 times.
i Wonder the above issues are caused by the current iOS 8.1.2, if yes, i urge Apple to do something to rectify these issues by launching the iOS 8.2 as soon as possible.
wonder if anyone else face the same issues.

All 5 of my family members upgraded to iPhone 6 - three have 6 Plus and 2 have iPhone 6. All were upgraded from iPhone 5 & 5s. To say we get limited and erratic reception would be an understatement. My daughter in LA has continual dropped calls. My son in Birmingham has spotty reception most of the time indoors, at best. Here in Denver, in a location where my iPhone 5S works with little to no problem at all - and ALWAYS received calls - I am lucky if my 6 Plus even rings in my area. Art first I thought the problem was related to my carrier, but I have tried it on both Verizon & TMobile. Then I thought it was my house (although the dropped calls and no service with 2-3 bars occurs quite often everywhere) then I got a range extender that shows 4 bars and I STILL CANNOT GET SERVICE. I have reset my phone, upgraded the iOS and done everything possible to try to rectify the problem. I am beside myself with what to do. Luckily I still have a landline, but most often I am receiving business calls on my cell and really need to be accessible. Fortunately I have not yet gotten rid of my 5s, so I will put my SIM card in it and use the 5S until I can either get resolution or get a refund.
This is not an isolated problem. Apple needs to address it. It does not take much searching to find this is a well discussed issue.
APPLE: Please give us a remedy!

Chip in brand new White iPhone

This morning I noticed a chip in my brand new white iPhone. I haven't dropped it or anything, it's on the edge of the phone right below the button. Should I take it in?? I shouldn't have a chip if I haven't done anything to it!

I'm trying to decide if I should wait for a white iPhone 4, get a white 3GS or black iPhone 4.
I'm with Sprint right now. My contract is up on the 1st of July. I need to switch to either AT&T or Verizon. Sprint has admitted that their coverage is very bad in my area. I find frequently that I have no signal. I want to make the switch now, b/c I'm planning my wedding, moving, going back to school, looking for a job in the new city I'm moving to, etc. etc. etc. I need to be with a carrier that actually has good coverage in my area.
Waiting for a white iPhone might not be an option for me.
Do you guys think I should get a white iPhone 3GS or a black iPhone 4? Are all of the features of OS4 available on the 16 GB 3GS? I just did the update on my 8 GB iPod Touch only to find that home screen backgrounds and multitasking are not supported on it.

I should probably mention this:
I'm thinking about purchasing a white refurbished 16 GB iPhone 3GS. I don't really want to spend more than $99 on a phone. It's not pragmatic for me to spend any more than that.
So the question remains, will a white refurbished 16 GB iPhone 3GS support all of the features of OS4? If not, then I'll see what I can do to afford a black 16 GB iPhone 4.

Can I exchange my white iPhone 5 without a reciept? It's only 1 month and a week old, I have the box, and all the accessories with it, the iPhone has no scratches, as you can say, its New. I'm not liking white, i prefer a Black one instead.

If you've had it for over a month, then you are outside of the return window. You can't 'exchange' it at all.
You're welcome to sell it and buy a new phone.

Notification center on white iPhone 4s only present in "landscape" mode.

Hello,
After purchasing a new white iPhone 4s, the notification center and tab, is not present or able to be swiped down when holding the telephone in portrait mode.
However when I rotate to landscape mode, the tab appears and I can acces the notification center. Has anyone found a fix for this? I have tried resetting, rebooting, and restoring the iphone.

The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.

Does the Mophie juice pack plus work on the white iPhone?

My buddie said he tried to use one and the white iPhone was too thick. He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed so I thought I would see what others had to say.

I don't know if mophie juice pack work on 5c, but I have a RavPower 14000mAh and it works on my 5c. Think it's a smart choice as it can charge 2 of my devices at the same time. I feel that the speed is even faster than I plugged into the wall. You may get it from amazon if you'd like.
