This means your logic board was made for a black iPhone 5, and was switched into a white iPhone 5 case, and you were given the white iPhone 5 box too. It will not affect the function of the iPhone in any way.

I went a head and put it in a safe mode to perform a recovery. iTune updated the software succesfully but is unable to finish recovery and software restore.

How many pepole like the white iPhone better than the black one

So I have been thinking about getting a white IPhone over the black one and was just curious how many pepole prefer the white over the black one I like the white one cause it is different and starting to grow on me plus not very many pepole have the white one I don't see to many guys with the white one but don't get. Me wrong I have seen a few any way my questions is how many men have the white one ? Sorry gals just curious on this one

White iphone 3g brighter than black 3g

Comparing side by side, my wife's white 16gb 3g is far brighter and less yellow than my black iphone 16gb 3g. Is there a difference in the screen between the two models? This doesn't seem right and I am wondering if my black one is defective or if apple sent out different iphone models. Any input would be appreciated!

Okay a bit of surfing on the internet and it looks like my contrast issue is not the only one. Here at this link http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88915 nottoshabby posted a black and white iphone 3g side by side and it shows exactly what i see front to front on my wife's and I phones.
So it looks like apple released two different screens! Or something is wrong with the black iphone's contrast as the white looks normal! I want to keep this bumped so that people can see that there was some sort of wide spread issue here and if others who also have both phones can post their differences to let apple know of the issue.

They are identical. The top bar is just more noticeable on the White Front Screen. The bar is the screen port to the ambient light and proximity sensors. Senses surrounding light intensity to adjust LCD screen light and the other usually your face/ear when on a call turning screen LCD light off. The lower bar is the mesh covered opening to the earpiece speaker.

I'm trying to decide if I should wait for a white iPhone 4, get a white 3GS or black iPhone 4.
I'm with Sprint right now. My contract is up on the 1st of July. I need to switch to either AT&T or Verizon. Sprint has admitted that their coverage is very bad in my area. I find frequently that I have no signal. I want to make the switch now, b/c I'm planning my wedding, moving, going back to school, looking for a job in the new city I'm moving to, etc. etc. etc. I need to be with a carrier that actually has good coverage in my area.
Waiting for a white iPhone might not be an option for me.
Do you guys think I should get a white iPhone 3GS or a black iPhone 4? Are all of the features of OS4 available on the 16 GB 3GS? I just did the update on my 8 GB iPod Touch only to find that home screen backgrounds and multitasking are not supported on it.

I should probably mention this:
I'm thinking about purchasing a white refurbished 16 GB iPhone 3GS. I don't really want to spend more than $99 on a phone. It's not pragmatic for me to spend any more than that.
So the question remains, will a white refurbished 16 GB iPhone 3GS support all of the features of OS4? If not, then I'll see what I can do to afford a black 16 GB iPhone 4.

As everyone knows, the white iPhone 4 is 0.2 mm thicker than the black iPhone 4. So my question is, will this be the same with the 4S? I asked apple employees on the website chat and they not only said that the white iPhone 4S will not be thicker but they also denied that the white iPhone 4 is thicker - when it is a fact that it is. A ruler will prove this.
Does anyone know?

In iTunes, my printing is white and the background is black, How do I change it back to white printing on a black background.

In my iTunes store, the printing is white and the background is black and I have forgotten how to change it back to black printing on a white background? I know that it is a simple answer, but right now I cannot think of it.
Also, what is the "other" when you are syncing an ipad in itunes and in my case the other is more than half of my 64Gb. How do I find out what it is and then get rid of it if I want to?

Sorry to hear that didn't resolve the issue.
I checked online for issues printing from the Internet, found a couple of things you can try. Most likely it is a setting that needs to be changed in the browser settings, since the printer prints fine from the computer.
From Internet Explorer, go to File, Page setup, Remove check from "Printer background color and images" if checked, or vise versa, to see if that helps.

Iphone 4 has a black screen which will display the apple logo for approx 10 seconds, then goes blank for 10 seconds and so on. I have tried a hard reset with power button and home button but no change. Get no response when attempting to connect to itune

iphone 4 has a black scrren which will display the apple logo and appears to be at start up but then blacks out for approx 10 seconds and then displays apple logo again. Same action over and over.
I have attempted hard reset but cannot complete. Also attempted to connect with itunes and it does not recongize device.
Device is frozen in this display loop. Have an appointment with genius bar tomorrow but it's a 2.5 hour round trip so suggestion appreciated.

Your device may need to be restored as new in iTunes (instead of restored from a back up as it seems that there is a software issue on your phone).
If your phone is not able to connect in iTunes try forcing recovery mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808)
* power off your phone.
* Hold the home button while connecting your phone to iTunes. You should see the connect to iTunes window and your computer should give you the recover mode alert.
*Restore your device as new. Being sure not to restore from a previous back up.
You will then want to sync your information back to your device from Outlook, iCloud, Google or wherever your information is stored.

How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes. I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue. If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can. Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.

Just to clarify, there is no such thing as a iPhone 4G. The previous model was the iPhone 4, and the new one is the iPhone 4S. Apple is being careful not to use the term 4G due to the misuse of the term. Carriers are using the term regularly and Apple may have to start using the term to let consumers know that the new phone is as fast or faster than the phones already on the market using "4G or LTE". The IPhone 4S is capable of download speeds up to 14.4 Mbps, which is what the carriers are calling "4G LTE", but in actuality 4G is download speeds of 100 Mbps which isn't availible at this time. Oh, to answer your question, diesel is correct, the phones are identical except for color.

i've had black iphones in the past, and the same thing always gets messed up, the network, i will not have service what-so ever, and when my mother's iphone will be right next to me and she will have full service. Also the lock screen button/power button broke on both of my black iphones as well. i was just wondering if they would consider. Does apple have an email i could contact?

Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the display has a dark screen. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
