I have removed and reinstalled the ram, but it wasn't this.
I have reset RAM (appleoption+rp), but it wasn't it.
I try to do the hardware test (disc 1 + D at the startup) buy it is not capable to complete it. It isn't capable to complete memory test (the first step)
Another problem of this mac is that the monitor shut down after few minutes of using (near ten minutes). Light monitor is ON, but i see all black...
I have tasted that between monitor and keyboard, the chassy is very hot. It Burn!!!
I think that is arrived the time of bringing it to the assistance.

  • Satellite A100 - Windows and BIOS doesn't start after BIOS update

Hello, I have updatet BIOS of my notebook sattelite A100.
After updating I cannot start my notebook and BIOS doesn't start.

Hey guys... I tried to update my girlfriend's BIOS on a A100 just now (the windows installer) and the procedure stoped in the middle because windows crashed while doing. Now the laptop won't start at all (obviously). I have a black screen when turning it on. No boot sounds or anything. I've already removed the AC power source and battery in case that works. I guess removing the BIOS battery won't help either since the flashing was wrong... In case that doesn't work, is there any chance i could find a BIOS from ebay or somewhere else?
    Thx in advance, Jimmy..

  • Mac Mini LED blinks and shuts down at startup, takes 2-3 tries to boot...

I have a Mac Mini PPC 1.42GHz. When i boot it up after non-use (cold), the LED blinks once per second and it boots all the way into MacOS and shuts down several seconds later. It will usually do the same thing the second time around. On third boot its usually fine. Not thinking its related, I have reinstalled MacOS anyways. No good...
    Thanks,
    Rich

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
The flashing LED is usually indicative of a power-on self test failure, normally leading to the system failing to boot at all. Once per second would indicate the system fails to recognize available RAM.
The fact this happens when the system is cold (with an implication that it doesn't happen when the system is warm) might indicate the RAM module is no longer firmly inserted, or that the contact face on the pins has oxidized slightly. In this situation, I'd begin by opening the system and removing and then reseating the RAM - in the G4 minis this is relatively easy since there is only one RAM slot, and it is exposed with just the top of the casing removed.

    Hossein,
As Guido said, you can  use BootCamp to partition the drive. If you want to install, or reinstall Windows. You would launch BootCamp and it will actually guide you through the installation, you will only need to decide how large a partition you want. I would use BootCamp, I would not use disk utility. When you have installed Windows and you want to boot into windows, when you start your MBP hold down the option key, this will give you trha option of booting Mac OSX or Windows.

  • I Mac doesn't start up after OS Leopard reinstallation

    Hello,
I had Kernel issue and had to reinstall OS Leopard.
After successful reinstallation, I restarted my I Mac, however, it doesn't start up completely and keeps loading for the last 6 hours.
Please could you advise what is the issue and how to handle it?
    Thanks, Igor

First of all, do you have a working back-up of all your files?
Do you have any devices connected other than keyboard/mouse/trackpad? If so, try starting with them disconnected.
If that didn't work, and I know you've tried some of these things already, I think I would have one last go with:
    Resetting the SMC & PRAM:
    SMC Reset
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and disconnect attached devices.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
    Reset PRAM
    Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P and R.
You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.
Another go at a Safe Boot:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455
And if that fails re-install the OS using the Recovery HD. Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 won't boot, LED blinks and hourglass spins

I bought this pink BlackBerry Curve 8330 in December of 2008. It has worked perfectly since and I've never gotten it wet. It's been dropped 4-5 times, but never from more than 3 feet.
This afternoon, in the middle of writing a text, it suddenly powered off and the red LED light came on like it does when it is turning back on. It went off, the screen stayed black, then a few seconds later the screen turned on with an hourglass spinning for about five seconds, then the light turns off and everything goes black again for a few seconds, then the LED light comes on again and the cycle is repeated. It did this five times before I had to put it away as we drove home. When I got home, it had finally booted the whole way, but the battery was so low the radio was off, so I plugged it into the USB charger on my desktop computer.
When I came back later, the phone had stopped charging and was on a black screen with the LED light on, just like earlier. It went through this cycle a few times.
I pulled the battery and put it back in, same thing happened. Black screen, white screen with hourglass, black screen.
I plugged it back into the USB charger and as I type this, the little psycho has booted completely and it shows that it is charging.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
    Remove the battery
    Wait 15 minutes
    Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Nokia C3-01 - white screen blinking and won't turn...

Yesterday evening I wanted to make a call and took the phone but the display was just blinking with the screen completely white and didn't respond to any keys (actually I couldn't turn it off, so I had to remove the battery). After placing the battery back after some time nothing changed, it still blinked. I tried to remove it for the whole night but no success again. Everything is still the same. This happened to me about a month ago for a couple of times and after few days it started to act normally. What's the problem with my phone? Can anybody help me and tell me what to do?
    Thank you in advance

it happened to me too. 2-3 weeks after i bought my new c3-01 screen gone white and never returned. I went to a nokia service store and after 2 weeks i got it back with a software update ''they told me'' . After a couple of days again tha same problem! back to nokia store and again 2-3 weeks of patience they replaced my c3-01 with another one. They said that the problem was on the electronic board (i dont know if im saying this right)! I have the replaced phone for about 2 weeks. No problems yet its very early anyway...

  • Iomega StorCenter ix2 white LED blinking after fw update

    Hi,
today I tried to update the firmware of my ix2, don't know if it is the ix2 dl as the case looks like this http://shop.lenovo.com/de/de/servers/network-storage/lenovoemc/ix2/ but with StorCenter instead of ix2-dl written on the front. As Version 3.3.2.24208 was installed, I manually uploaded ix2-ng-3.3.2.29823.tgz as a first update step to be able to update to 4.0.6.19294  in the next step as recommended in the FAQ.
    see https://lenovo-eu-en.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31178
But after successfully deploying the new firmware and the automatically reboot, the device sticks to a glowing blue HDD LED and a blinking white power LED. I read about the chance to boot from an USB flash drive but I can't find the image to prepare the USB flash drive.
Can you please provide me with this image or tell me what I can do to access my device again?
    Thanks.

You can put the serial number in the box under "Find Your Product" to see if it is in warranty still. If you still have the original purchase receipt, you can contact technical support and they will update the warranty if it is still within the warranty period. • How to speed up applications and Mac OS X start?

hello there, I find my applications start too slow on my Macbook pro Core Duo despite a T7400 Intel processor, 2,16 Ghz .Is Mac OS X for Intel Core Duo really optimized and his applications too? How can I speed up the performance of applications? I'm newbie. I 'd like to have advice, reports and suggestions. Thanks

Application and OS start times are not uniform. Due to heavy use of caching, start times are initially long, but get shorter as time goes on. For example, if you install OS X or a system update that changes the system, the next restart may be very long or may involve a double restart. The next time you restart will be faster, and subsequent startups will be faster still. This is because OS X will progressively build up a startup cache of the items that start up, so they don't have to be loaded from nothing each time. OS X startup times should get shorter until you modify the system again due to an update or installing a new kernel extension.
Applications are similar. Photoshop, for example, takes a long time to start the first time after a system restart. If you exit Photoshop and then start it again, the second time starts up faster. Again, OS X is caching the application data in RAM, but that gets thrown out if you restart. If you restart your computer, Photoshop startup time is back to the longer first-time duration.
My Mac laptop is much older than yours, but it starts up in 35 seconds and applications can start in a few seconds if I've already started them once during the current session. I, and many other Mac users, avoid restarting the machine unnecessarily. Because OS X is based on Unix server software, it is designed for long times between restarts.
I will typically restart or shut down my Mac every week or two. This gives you two advantages we have been talking about: You never wait through the startup time because you are only waking it from sleep, and it means the caches for the current session can stay in use and not get thrown out on restart, so application startup times stay short.
Try using your Mac by simply sleeping it when you don't want it on, instead of shutting it down, and see if that makes any difference. If it does not, there is a possibility that you don't have enough RAM for the types of applications you use.
