and i need to purchase a case, i know this model is old and discontinued

I don't know what you mean by "poor battery life". If your iPad is working properly you should get 9-10 hours of life.

Some things that might help:
1. Only the most recently used apps actually occupy memory (used to be the most recent 4, but may have changed in the latest iPhones). After 4 (or so), IOS writes them out of active memory, as it does for even the latest 4 if there's no activity for a long time. So the business of closing all the open apps, apart from the most recent ones doesn't make a difference. Tis article has a good explanation:

2. There are settings about background app activity that might help:
- Settings, General, Background App Refresh controls which apps can update their data in the background
- Settings, Notifications controls which apps can tell you things, which they have to wake up to do.

You don't need an app to do this. Here's how you get the battery info. Go to Settings>More>Battery. This will show you all the active apps and their individual battery usage.

Okay, so this is a slightly dumb question, but is there a case (or will there be a case) available that covers more of the iPhone 4, similar to the cases for the iPhone, the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS? I get that the bumper helps with the antenna band but it doesn't really do anything to protect the back or the screen from damage, does it?

There are a bunch out there already. Zagg, ghost armor, switcheasy, ifrogz, etc...
Currently have a two peice ifrogz on my ip4 now but probably switching to a switcheasy when the nude ultra clear is available since I want something low profile. 99% my phone is the only thing in the pocket it is in so I don't want something bulky.
As for the bumper case. IMO it *****. have to take it off I think to use your sync cable or if you are going to use a dock of some type. Plus doesn't cover the back or anything. Definitely not a fan of the bumper at all. I would have thought apple would have come out with something better than that.

OSD Task Sequence fails with "There are no task sequences available for this computer"

Let me preface this by saying that I have read at least 100 forum posts with people having similar issues. However, none of the solutions in those
posts have worked for me.
The Problem: SCCM 2012 R2 will not image unknown computers.
The task sequence gives the error "There are no task sequences available for this computer." As soon as that error occurs, SCCM places an Unknown entry into the All Systems collection. I have been imaging unknown computers, without fail, for
4 months and no environmental changes have been made. NOTE: I am using USB media, not PXE.
What I've Tried:
Checked for duplicate SMSBIOS GUIDS in the console, none.
Checked for duplicate MAC Addresses in the console, none.
Checked for expired certificates, none.
Recreated Boot Media, twice.
Deleted the Unknown entry and retried, SCCM just recreates the Unknown entry.
Deleted all of my task sequence deployments, and then redeployed them each to All Systems (Only Boot Media and PXE) and to Unknown Systems (Only Boot Media and PXE)
I have also ran the following in the SQL Server Management Studio;

This displays an entry for every time that I have tried to image the unknown machine attached to the MAC Address with a different ItemKey and SMS_Unique_Identifier for each entry.

Since you have never plugged the iPad into your computer's iTunes yet - you are syncing to a "new" computer so .... Yes you will lose the music if you sync it with iTunes before making this your syncing computer.
But ..... You can transfer all of the iPad content into iTunes and that will make the iTunes library your new syncing library. Just follow all of the steps in this user tip and you will be OK. Then you will be able sync without losing anything.

One workarwound is to do the following:
1. Remove the digital content from iTunes (but keep the files)
2. Rename all .m4v files to .mp4 files
3. Add the files back to iTunes
This seems to fix the problem for me

I was wondering if anyone has advice as to which cases--readily available at the Apple Store, Best Buy, etc.--do a good job of preventing scratches on the back of the iPod Touch 2G. I know that silicon cases will scratch it up, so I'm staying away from those. Are there any hard cases that will work from your experiences? I've ordered a skin from BestSkinsEver, which is like the InvisibleShield, but am looking for something that will work in the meantime, until that arrives. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I've run into the exact same concern - already suffered some scratching on the back of my 32GB Touch 2G (insert very frowned face here).
BestBuy, Staples, WalMart, and the Apple Store were very picked over - post Christmas rush I'm assuming, so my choices were very slim. I haven't picked one up yet, but a friend of mine was just over with his iPhone and had a nice hard case that covered only the back of his phone. It was a solid fit and didn't add too much bulk.

OK here is a problem I have with my calender- all the events are added mutible times for each event- at least 4 of each. So how do I get all of these mutiable events down to just one event. Now this also includes hollidays and personel events on the calender from outlook. All this I think happened after sync to Cloud- not sure, could have happened after OS 5 update!!! Now this is on my iPhone 4. Now going to my calender on my home computer in outlook no events or holidays are showing in the outlook my calender.
