White matte not white???

So I created a white matte in PPro6 and then added a jpeg image over the top of it with a white border on the timeline, you can clearly see a faint grey border around the image before and after rendering. I tried coneverting the jpeg to several other formats but it still shows a grey border. The image IS RGB and both the matte and image whites are R255, B255, G255. The image is too elaborate to get rid of the whites and place on a transparent BG. WHY is this happening? I know I can expand my canvas size but that doesnt fix the problem within PPro. Anybody know the answer?

OK, tell me if this test makes sense to you.
I went into Photoshop and created a white layer (255,255,255) and saved it to a JPG using sRGB.
Then I brought it into Premiere Pro CC. I created a White Matte in Premiere Pro and put it on track 1. I put the jpg on track two and set it to 90% scale.
I set the Program Monitor to show me 150% and still could not see any difference between the white matte and the jpg.
I then reread your post and did it again in Premiere Pro CS6. It took me a minute to remember how to render because to be honest, unless the line goes red, I never do. And if the line isn't red, hitting the enter key is insufficient to cause it to render. My line stays yellow pretty much all of the time.
So, let's take a look at a few things. Why do you have to render? No CUDA card? Perhaps you are applying an 8 bit effect that causes the IRE to set to 16 through 235
Maybe you should change from Adobe RGB to sRGB if it is not already that way?
We need more information. If you meant "export" instead of "render", what are you exporting to? Please provide a screen shot of all of your export settings.

Edit in Photoshop an image that you think should be white (my border in the shot below) select the colour picker tool and the colour chart comes up,. Move the colour picker onto what should by the white area and #FFFFFF should show (as below) . If it doesn't then it isn't white
If you use Firefox browser you can also check the colour on the screen (on the web) by using the Colour Zilla addon, which does a similar thing (but not in PS obviously)
If the colour is white but it doesn't look it on your monitor you either have a colour profile problem, or your monitor is wonked.

White is not 'White', it is YELLOW!

I have a problem with the white color in Photoshop CS6, and I know it's not my computer or monitor. Anything white colored or anything for that matter, has a yellow tint to it. What should be white, is yellow. I even tried pasting a image of white on to the canvas, but that also turned yellow. I don't think it's my color settings. I also have Photoshop CS5, but that's fine. White is white. I pasted a screen shot of my computer onto both programs. CS5 is fine, but CS6 is still yellow. I cross referenced my color settings with CS5, making sure they're the same. One thing was different from CS5. The CYMK working space is "U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2". I tried switching it to Photoshop 5 Default CMYK if that could change it to the CS5 default, but nothing changed. Even the color pickers have yellow instead of white. Gradients and Black to Yellow. It's not my computer or monitor. I want to use CS6 for my photo editing needs, but I'll need to use CS5 to do anything that needs normal color. Please help, I want to use CS6, CS6 is so cool, but I don't want yellow, I want white.

That you haven't calibrated your display and that it appears to be a "standard gamut" monitor means you're probably okay with having your system work at Windows default settings.
Click Start, type color in the search box, then click Color Management when it comes up.
In the Devices tab, ensure that your monitor is selected in the Device field.
Check the [ ] Use my settings for this device box if it is not already checked.
If the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile is not showing in the Profiles associated with this device box, hit the [Add...] button and add it.
Click on sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and choose [Set as Default Profile].
[Close]
Now see if your colors look better in Photoshop.

LED broken? Yellow is not yellow. White is not white.

Hey,
I just installed Bebuzz for my Z10 (10.1) and was playing around a bit. When I was trying to chose different colors for all me incoming messages (whatsapp, text, email, ...) I noticed that the colors White and Yellow are blinking like a mix of two colors.
So, Yellow is more a half red and half yellow (side by side). And the white is a half Magenta half white. However, green, blue, red etc for example are clear and unambiguous.
I also noticed it when the battery drops below 10%... The color then is blinking in 50 %red right beside 50 % yellow. Is it supposed to be totally yellow?
I am not sure if all these things are normal. But the seem pretty weird since it is just for the colors White and Yellow.
Hope someone can help me (...and tell me that my LED os not broken ).

Many of the Blackberry phone models starting from about five years ago the LED is able to display multi colors. For example, with the 9900, and I think with the Z10 if the phone is charging while it is turned off it will display a sort of orange color with some green in it. When the phone is completely charged the LED will glow a steady green color.
While the phone is connected to a Bluetooth device the LED will flash in blue. Messages will flash in red. Fully charged with the phone turned off the LED should glow green. The phone LED is a multi color LED that can display most any color in the visible spectrum.
I looked in the user instructions. There is very little information about the LED. I realize there are some third party software that will allow the user to change the color for this LED, and set it up to respond in particular colors for specific events. Once it is set, if not undone with the program, the color indication will stay until it is changed again using a software that can access the registers where the change took place.

I cannot seem to get pure white within PS CS4.
I opened the Color tab and set the sliders to 255, 255, 255. However, the color displayed is FFFEDC, not FFFFFF.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

That was my first guess, too. My Samsung monitor was profiled using a colorimiter, so I disabled that profile and tried again. The white in PS CS4 is still FFFEDC.
I did a little more experimenting with these results:
White swatches are FFFFFF in Windows Paint and ACDSee Photo Manager, with or without the monitor profile active. White swatches are always FFFEDC in PS CS4.
I can get white as FFFFFF in a PS image by moving the white slider left in the Levels adjustment panel to the left. Then, I tried to sample the FFFFFF color with the eyedropper, and the sample is FFFEDC again! This is driving me crazy.
The PS color settings are using the Adobe RGB (1998) colorspace.

My color white is not white its tan?

I just got adobe photoshop CS3 Extended and when i open a new page or anything the color white looks like a tan color....it says its white #ffffff, but shows up as a tan color in my window??? when i save it and look at in another program its the color white...
How do i fix this< sorry im new to photoshop and just started learning it.

Render background black is not really black and white is not really white

Goodday,
I have problem when i try to render movies from Premiere Pro CS4 in Adobe Media Encoder.
When it is has black background or a white background and i want to render it in Adobe Media Encoder the color shifts a little bit. Black gets really dark grey and white is not white anymore.
I import the composition in Media Encoder and make a WMV from it with all its values to the max. I also tried a few different codecs, but non of them keeps the background black or white.
what can i do to solve the problem?

It's possible you have got some "sit-up" on the black. Do you have access to a 'scope? Not the rubbish thing in PrPro. If you have then look at the line timebase in the output and check the position of the 0 level after the back porch (after the line sync period). An overly raised black level (pedestal) in the video period will cause the blacks to look grey. If you are using a Proc Amp anywhere in the output then check the setup.
Similarly, raising the black level can cause clipping on your whites, which can result in the white not looking "white" depending upon how much it's being clipped and the setup of the clipping device threshold.
Just a thought.

Silver Shuffle - Switch Panel Area Is White And Not Green As Apple Adverts

Just got the New Silver iPod Shuffle.
Have a question about the top of the ipod - where the switch is, the colour is White and not Green as shown in the Apple store Pictures. Any idea?
I wouldn't like to think its a fake. Reason asking is I have already had to send one back as it looked liked it had been tampered with - had loads of scratches on the back and the cable was missing.

How do I get the color of the address, in the address box, to be all black on white, and not part of it to be gray on white, and part to be black on white?

Right now, the address line in my address box, at the top of the page, begins "https://support", all in light gray, followed by "mozilla.com", in black, followed by "/en-US/questions/new?product=.......etc.", all in light gray on a white backround, so it is almost unreadable. Why did this start happening, and how do I change this, so that the address is all black on white, and not half gray and half black?

You can set the pref browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled to false on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

N97 software update ready for black not white vers...

is anyone else in the uk amazed that Nokia have released the software update for the N97, but it is only available for the Black not white version of the phone?
I am truly amazed. Its not like they are different phones. . .is it?

I purchased a Nokia n97 in white and after 2 weeks my front screen wouldn't load and I couldn't connect to the internet,the phone I purchased was sim free and cost me 500 pounds,I checked for updates to rectify the problem because after reading on these sites it was a common problem and the update would fix it... Anyway there were no updates so i contacted nokia themselves and i got an email back saying
"We are unable to provide information on the features for future software updates or product releases ahead of time. All available information on our products can be found from the relevant support pages on our website.
Please note that unfortunately there is no information yet as to the release dates for the Nokia Software updater for the model N97 as product releases are country and market dependant."

i've since swapped the phone (after some faffing about) for a Nokia n97 in black,I turned the phone on and after 5 minutes I got a message saying important updates available,the firmware 11. was available after 5 minutes of me having the phone,i've not moved its from the same shop an i'm using the same sim,why send an email out saying they don't know when its going to be available,why not just put we've done it for the black we just don't know when its gonna be ready for the white!! so far i've had no problems but its only been a day!!

White marker not following when audio plays

When I playback audio, the tracker (white line -not sure what it's called) does not go along with where the audio should be. This is usually the case, though I must say that every once in a while it does. It seems to help when I'm zoomed in closer.
Ideally, editing would go like this for some of the elements that I edit.
I hit the space bar, following along w/ the mouse, select heavy breaths and other things I want to delete, and select mute (which I have as a hot key). Then, I will delete silence (limiting silence to 150 ms - which I find to be a natural time space between words). So, this whole thing with the white line not following is kinda sucking.
It will start to follow for about a second sometimes, then just disappear. I have a brand new machine and A3. It's relatively beefy. Duo core, 3gb ram, 500 gb hard drive. It's not mine, it's my work computer. I could not afford this machine. It just seems like I shouldn't be experiencing this lag, or whatever is happening. Any thoughts?
