White noise after bounce and copying to another project

hello
I composed some film music in one project and then bounced it and dragged to a another project (the film with sound effects). The track works fine when 'solo' but when I play all sounds (sound effects, video preview and film music) I get this random white noise/hissing every now and then. Any ideas?

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

Spectrasonics - White Noise, No Audio, and Audio/Midi Sync Sample issues

Just installed all of the spectrasonics software. Omnisphere, Trilogy, RMX, Atmosphere. Im getting very mixed results.
The patch plays, sometimes there's clicks. Then it goes to white noise. Then there's no output.
Thoughts? Thanks

I hear your point re Spectrasonics. Generally when you call a software specific provider, they tell you that they do not provide support for 3rd party software - e.g. Logic etc. Im not sure the troubleshooting is on the Spectrasonics side. Actually, all of them have worked succesfully at various points. Further, the white noise now comes and goes with EXS 24, Battery and others. So, it does not appear to be a problem that is specific only to Spectrasonics.
I use an Apogee Duet. I have tried different buffer settings (256 and 512) and that seems to help with certain apps. E.g. Kontakt appears to work better with less latency at 256. Spectrasonics, when it works appears to work better on 512.

There are two different resets. The reset you did involved holding the sleep/wake & home button.
The other reset will do exactly what it says. That reset is located in Settings - General - Reset.

TV white noise after starting from standby

Hi,
Recently I have installed ShowShifter. It's a great program and very stable. Everything works as it should from excellent TV picture and sound, recording, showshifting, playback, etc . Except one thing is not working correctly: the recording from standby .
When I schedule a recording and put the machine into standby it will start the recording as planned. When I then later play the recording the picture is ok, but there is a lot of white noise. Also when I select TV I get white noise. After a restart the TV programs are ok, but the recording has still the white noise.
I did some testing and found out that when you go into standby and come back that always the white noise is present in the TV programs.
The following drivers are installed: 4.31 NVidia Audio drivers and the latest beta TV Tuner drivers.
Does anyone has the same problem? Did you find a solution?

I have found out that the MSI MS-8606 Video Capture Driver 4.102.11 from 15042004 (the new beta driver) is the one that is not working correctly. When you disable it and then enable it again then the white noise IN SOUND is gone and the tv sound is back.
I have reinstalled the older driver from 082003. That one doesn't has the 'standby' problem, but gives me a grappy picture . So that's a no go.
What could happen to this beta driver during 'standby' after using ShowShifter that it is not working correct anymore ?

I want to copy video, cutaways and audio combined and use in another project. So far I can only copy the video clip or one of the other elements at a time. How do I group all of them?

You can select multiple objects in the timeline in the usual Mac way - hold down the shift key while you click on the objects then copy, select other project, position playhead where you want to insert then paste.

IPod 4th Gen has white screen after replacement, and restore

Okay. Here's the problem. A while ago, I dropped my iPod, and it's screen cracked. I've been living with it ever since perfectly, but just with a cracked screen. Now, I ordered a new screen, and I begin to replace it. I knew how, and like an easy job, I did it pretty quick compared to others. After both ribbon cables where in, I pressed the lock button, and my iPod had a white screen. I was a little worried about that, so, I tried to reattach the screen. Now it was just black, after even using the home and lock button restart method. Eventually I got it back up and to the white screen by draining the battery and recharging, and there I was again, stuck. I looked at some forums on the internet to try to see if anyone had my problem. After clicking on the first link, it turns out, alot of people had this problem as well as me. The solution they said was pressing the home button and lock button for about 10 or so seconds, and then it goes to the apple screen and is all better again. I tried it, and my home button broke. Great. So, now I had to use the little button that the home button was pressing down to try the solution. Tried it, and, nothing. Still the blank, plain, white screen. Looked some more and saw that pressing the home and lock buttons along with the volume up button worked for some people too. Tried it, worked just as good as the previous one. Nothing. I even tried some person's idea of doing home, then volume up, then lock, in different timed stages. Nothing. I also saw people begging for them not to restore their iPods and begging for a solution. I was fine with a restore, I just had games that I played on my iPhone as well. So, I went with it, and restored it, without any backups, just going to factory mode. Afterwards I heard my iPod make the iOS "plugged in" sound, and anxiously tried the lock button. Still had the white screen. STILL. Now, I'm here, begging for a solution like others, with an iPod that won't function properly. Can someone please help me?

No nothing like that happened, I'm sure, but I actually spent the day looking for a fix. Luckily, I had the idea of taping the spring down because I though the screen didn't touch it. Turns out I was right, but however, I found out that the screen I ordered was broken in a way, because it still had the white screen after the taping. Just to make sure, I tried the other screen to clarify if the taping worked or not. I did the home and lock button restart, and up popped the apple logo. So, that means that the screen I got from the seller was either a rip-off, or was just broken somehow in process of making, or delivering in some matter. Unfortunately, I think I can't ship it back unless for alot of money because the person I got it from comes from China. I live in the USA. So that's gonna be a matter to work with myself. G56 will not start install after format and copy from recovery usb

so i just replaced the hdd in this laptop running win7. i am trying to fix the imminent hdd failure message for one of my mother's friends. anywho... i created the usb flash (13.5gb) and then replaced the hdd. went into the bios and enabled usb floppy and moved it up in boot order.
the pc boots into recovery fine. it formats and copies the files over also. what it will not do is reboot into the install of windows. all it wants to do is reload the recovery. i have tried many different ways of getting this done and nothing seems to be working.
at first the floppy was first. now i have it second, after the hdd. i have pulled the usb after the format and copy. i have left it in.
i dont know what else to do. any help from yall would be a wonderful thing.

Sounds like you are using the wrong restore disk to install Mac OS 9. The G5 came with its own restore disks to install Mac OS 9, and that version is 9.2.2. The restore disks for the G5 are labelled such.
If you purchased the G5 used from someone else, and they did not include the original disks, contact them for the disks. And if they lack the disks, ask them to call AppleCare and see if they can get the disks. If you lose the disks, and are the original owner of the machine as a new machine, call AppleCare and see if you can get the disks yourself.

Elements 8 freezing after scan and copy

I am having trouble when I scan a photo into Elements 8, then select a portion of the photo with the marquee tool, then go to edit and copy. The program freezes every time I try this. My in-house tech guru (aka college-aged son) suggests re-installing the program, but I thought I would see if this is a known problem first. Thanks.

What is the resolution that you are scanning at? And is it in the jpg format?

Why Tab font color is white on one computer and black on another?

Both of my computers have the latest Firefox (29). Why would one have white font (I prefer) and the other have black font? Both are using the default "Appearance" add-on.

Are you using a possibly inverted high contrast theme in Window or otherwise have changed the settings in Windows?

My iMovie is messing up all of my content i am copying to another project!

I am working on a Tribute video for my 31 year old dear brother who passed away 2 years ago. I have almost 2 hours worth of clippings of home videos i am trying to embed into many pictures in another project that is already 1 and a half hours long. I clipped the original home videos whenever i imported them into imovie with just the parts of the video that have my brother in them. When I copy and paste the videos into the project that has all of the pictures, the videos are all messed up and are the wrong clippings, as if the clippings i made were other parts of the video, but still contain the right amt of time the original clips of my brother were. Does anyone know how this could possibly be fixed?

Suddenly my project window has no scroll bars, and if I return to the project library, select my project and click edit, another project LIBRARY appears partially covering the project window. Help.

In the middle of making a movie, the scroll bars vanished in the project window and I could no longer navigate at all. If I went to the project library and selected the project, another image of the project library slid in and entered onto my screen. after repeated attempts to open the project in various ways, I have it now, but there are holes in the project window (blank background) and no scroll bars. It does not respond to anything.

I'm adding more information:
in Finder, my iMovie folders are all visible and accessible. When I click on a clip from iMovie Events folder, Quicktime opens and plays the clip. ALL my video is not missing - it just isn't showing up in the Event Library!
This happened all of a sudden, while I was working on iMovie project (on both computers).
All my Projects are intact, and play when I open them.

Slide size issues with copy from another project

Working with Captivate 4. I have a completed project where I have a slide I would like to re-use in a new project. The recording options for each project are the same - full screen recording. The image is being cut off all the way around the when I 'Copy Slide' in Project A and 'Paste Slide' in Project B.
If the layout size is the same, why is the image being cropped/adjusted in the Paste? Is there any way to adjust the size of the image when pasting an entire slide into a project?

Seems odd. But I may have a workaround. What if instead of copying the slide, you simply insert a Blank slide in the new project? Then you copy the background of the slide from the older one and paste as background into the newer? Results the same then or what?

CS6 audio won't play on sequence copied from another project

I copied a sequence from Project 1 and pasted it into Project 2 yesterday. It worked fine yesterday. Today I tried to open up the sequence, and the audio was "browned out." I right clicked on "reveal in project" and the correct audio file came up.
Other sequences that I did not import are playing back fine.

In case someone else finds this thread - the fix was to select all the audio tracks, right click on them, click on Audio Channels, and change the source channel to whatever the available option was. In a couple instances, I switched to "None." and it turned green, but was inaudible. Then I did it again and switched back to whatever the other option was, and it played again.

White screen after erasing and reinstalling OS X

HI there,
I have a 5 year old iMac that has been running perfectly up until a month ago. We had a power cut (not the first time the mac has been suddenly turned off), and after turning it back on I get the Apple logo and a progress bar for about 30 seconds before it turns into a white screen, with no cursor. I have called Apple 3 times about this issue and we have gone through all the steps you see in the forums here to solve this problem. Yesterday Apple told me to erase the HD and reinstall a fresh copy of OS X. I have everything backed up on time machine so I went ahead and did this. During the installation process I did not choose to transfer data from my external HD via time machine in case the problem i was having was due to something I had on my external HD. After installation was complete the computer restarted only for the white screen to appear again. I had to boot into safe mode to fully complete installation. After this was done, I restarted the computer only to encounter the white screen again. My question is, are there anymore steps I can take to resolve this problem, or is it time to take it to a Genius Bar?

There's a few more things your can try. Press and hold Option + Command + P + R at the startup "Dong" and your computer will reboot again. When that is done Press and hold Command + V at the "Dong" and this will put the computer in verbose mode and allow you to see exactly what the computer is hanging up on while it is booting up.
