White screen crash because of free Photoshop app??
I keep experiencing white screen crash roughly 6 or 7 times a day and to be honest I'm sick of it!!
I did a system restore, so my Iphone was restored to factory settings, effectively wiping everything of the memory. Apart from the images I had taken and the images I used for editing my photo's in the free photoshop app.
I am wondering if anyone else has discovered this app as being as issue related to crashes?
Also I have now removed these photo's and all photo's from my Iphone. So according to everyone's suggestion to avoiding white screen crash, I should not experience it as often as I am. Unless this is related the the problematic release of the 3.1.3 OS so called update.

Update: removing the photo's has effectively made it worse - upon resetting the Iphone and the switching it back on, when the apple icon appears, after a few secs it's already crashing again. HELP!!!

I have had my Iphone for roughly 3 weeks and encountered this problem (white screen crash) within a few days of my purchase, at first I was worried because I wasn't aware of how common it was on the Iphone software, but today I have had it happen 3-5 times which is worrying me again, please can anyone advise me on what I should do? I have the latest update, I also have removed some recent apps that may have caused the problem. I am now thinking I should take my Iphone into an apple store and ask for a repair, is this the best thing to do?
Has anyone also experienced the white screen crash roughly 5 times in one day?? Just trying to establish if it is common for this to happen 5 times in one day

ChrisI've owned iphones since the first one was introduced & have never experienced a "white screen crash".
Standard troubleshooting steps in the following order:
1. Reset: Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the apple logo, then release. Ignore the slide to power off.
If no change, continue:
2. Restore your phone from a backup, note: if the problem is related to corrupt data, while this will restore a fresh OS, it will also restore the problem.
If no change, continue:
3. Restore as a "new" phone in itunes & re-sync your content. All saved data will be lost.
If no change, make an appointment at an Apple store, as you most likely have a hardware problem. -
The ipad screen is white. Holding buttons didn't work so I restored it on iTunes. When I press home and on switch, the screen is white, goes black then back to white with no logo at all. Can't get past the white screen. This happened after running app updates. Is there any fix besides going to Apple store? In iTunes on computer can see what is on there. 16GB OS 7.1.1
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
Everything worked fine on my new ipad. After I upgraded to ios7 it still worked fine even if it looked very different. But Safari started acting strangely (it is starting the same thing on my iPhone 4s, too). Finally, it froze in state with no URL, no keyboard will come up, I can get Safari to close and start, but not actually function. I went into settings and deleted all the cookies, data, history, and so forth. Same state. I powered down the iPad and restarted. Same state. I tried a trick were I held down the button to bring up the power down stripe and then holding down the home button. Same state.
What can I do? Can I delete Safari and re-install it somehow? Should I take it to an Apple store?If powering down with hard reset (press and hold two buttons Power and home) will not give positive results follow that article

Major problem - Stuck on white screen after chime
Alright, long story short, I tried to install bootcamp, I got the partition and everything and it rebooted to the win XP blue screen install thingy.. I formatted the drive (thinking it was the drive bootcamp created) and I think I probably formatted OS X's drive, so I quit installing XP. So now when I start my iMac, I just hear the chime and I am stuck at the white screen, probably because I have no OS.
I want to reinstall OS X (I just got my mac, nothing to lose) but I cannot seem to be able to boot from the install CD no matter what I do...
Anyone know what I should do? I tried holding C, option-C, apple-option-C, everything while restarting with the OS X cd in.
I will have a OSX-less christmas at this rate
On a normal PC I would just go into the BIOS and boot from CD but I don't know how that works on a Mac... HELP!Welcome to Apple Discussions. Sorry about your Mac-less holiday!
An FYI, Macs don't use Bios, they use the more modern Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI).
Just an idea for you. There is an entire Apple Discussion forum dedicated to Boot Camp and Windows XP.
Whereas, not everyone here with an Intel iMac has installed, tried to install or has experience with BC & XP, everyone there has or at least has an interest. You may attract help more quickly there. And that would be where the Boot Camp pros hang. This has probably happened to others.

What is wrong with my iPad? White screen
I opened my iPad this morning and there was a white screen. I could do nothing. Couldn't turn it off, couldn't do anything with buttons except the hard reset.
After about 5 minutes, it went back to normal. Now tonight, it has returned, and this time it isn't going away. Additionally, the white screen is getting less bright, and all edges of the screen are starting to darken, as if its dying. I have a genius bar appointment tomorrow but just wanted to get some idea of what I'm in for, if anyone has experienced this. I've included a picture.Yes, thats what I meant by hard reset. I did do that. It came back on with the white screen. I can barely see apps in the background, but when i press the screen nothing happens. I'm trying a system restore now, but i don't think thats it, as the reset logo and progress bar is lightly visible under the bright white screen. I guess this is a screen issue. I couldn't seem to find alot on any similar problems with a google search. Weird.

Just updated my iPhone 5 (16g) to iOS7 and now I cannot launch the music app anymore.
It opens and then just crashes after a few seconds of white screen.
Also If I go to Settings General About the phone crashes all the time after just a few seconds. :-(
AndreasThe same for me. iPhone 4S, itunes match and upgrade to ios7 by air.
So what we have:
1) Music app does not launch (white screen then close)
2) About screen crashes (I guess once it tries to calculate music space)
3) Spotlight does not show any results (no care what I set to search in in the preferences)
4) iTunes Match slider can not be set to Off. However, it is possible to logout from AppleID, then it off. But this does not change the situaton at all
5) Podcast app does not launch
I tried to reboot, to sign in with another Apple ID, to turn off itunes Match, to reset all preferences. Nothing helps.
Things to try:
- reset all preferences and content
- reinstall ios7 with itunes from scratch
- switch to windows phone -

Product: Adobe Photoshop CC
Application running on:
Apple iMac 3.5GHz late 2013 / Mavericks 10.9.2
Application crashes without warning. Symptom: Drop down boxes go blank white (I shot screen captures of blank drop down boxes) and application stops working, actions for appox. 10 minutes preceding crash are lost. Force Quit required to quit unresponsive / frozen application and then Restart of Adobe Photoshop CC
Crash Frequency: Three time in this work day, 5.6.14 Once a day sporadically (approximately 10 times) in past two weeks.
Other applications running at time of crashes: Adobe Bridge - NOT effected. Computer was on line with no browsers open.
Otherwise computer continued to operate normally.

I did in deed submit a homemade crash report.
I would have submitted "an actual Crash Report " and sooner, but: When this event occurs. there are NO dialog boxes. All frozen / blank. No possibility of "actual crash report" !

Screen crashed. How can I recover the apps' info?
My ipod screen crashed (a car tire passed over). I tried to make a back up in Itunes, in my PC but asked me to enter the IPOD security code which I can not because the screen is completely broken (it still turns on, but only displays a white light). Not interested in recovering the Ipod (is a 3rd gen and, anyway, I was planning to replace it soon), but I'd like to recover the info I'd been entering in some of the apps. Any suggestion to solve this? Thanks a lot!
Try contacting a data recovery company. The security feature is working as designed.

Flash Games Keeps Crashing , White screen Gray exclamation mark in the middle .
As the title says , I run a flash game like sas zombie assault 4 or dead zone , the game will run ok for a few minutes but then the whole thing crashes , white screen with gray exclamation mark in the middle , ive tried re installing flash , tried different browsers and a lot of other things , ive run out of ideas and really need help here please :/ .
It's not uncommon for some of the high-end games to consume upwards of 1GB of RAM. You've got 865MB free. The player runs out of memory and exits. (The grey circle with the exclamation point is the out of memory icon)
The content provider would either need to optimize their game to use less memory, or you need to add memory to the machine, or run less stuff simultaneously (use a single tab as the only open application, etc). Also, keep in mind that a 32-bit OS will only let you use the first 2GB of memory, so if you have more RAM than 2GB, you're not getting access to it because you're on a 32-bit OS. -
Anyone else suffering from their curve 8520 os: 5.0.0.681 randomly crashing and only showing a white screen as well as it being unable to reboot unless it is plugged in? It often occurs when I'm playing media, using apps and maps. Had the same problem with my previous phone so it was sent in for repair and replaced but I'm still suffering from the same problem with the replacement handset! Any ideas how it fix this?

Since you got a replacement it the same old Battery you are using or its a new Battery with your replacement device.Sometime this white Screen or unable to reboot happen because of weak battery .I suggest if you can arrange a good quality Battery then try running your device a few hours to see if the problem is within the device or its just Battery issue.

HDV crashes/comes up as white screen with only sound when exported.
Hi I have been searching all throughout the forums for an answer to my problem but seem to find no clear solution. I edit everything into an HDV1080i60 timeline in Final Cut Pro 5 and then I try to export, whenever I export with Quicktime Conversion, Final Cut Pro crashes midway through. When I export with Quicktime Movie at 1080i60, the file comes out but when played is a blank white screen with sound only.
Every export setting has failed EXCEPT Uncompressed 8 bit NTSC. The video does come out good but the file sizes are enormous because it is uncompressed.
Is there any solution to this problem, I don't understand why its happening now, about one month ago everything was working great. I have downgraded to quicktime 7.3.1 yet still no results.
Any help would be much appreciated.something between then and now has thrown a large spanner in the works
the fact that Quicktime Player is not seeing the HDV codec and yet FCP is able to work in that codec is a clear indication of the issue
starting with the least extreme and easiest solutions:
Use Disk Utility app to repair permissions on your system disc, see if that helped
Create a new user account and see if it all works better in that new account
Boot from your OS install discs and use Disk Utility app to repair your system disc, see if that helped
Uninstall and then reinstall Final Cut Studio (repair permissions again after the reinstall)
... probably best solution though is a complete clean reinstall of both OS and applications

We have been successfully using CC for several months, then about 30 days ago suddenly when we tried to switch apps between dreamweaver, and Photoshop the computer went to a White screen and froze. This problem is completely repeatable, and we are at a complete loss to correct the problem. Any ideas? It doesnt do this when you switch withing Bridge and Photoshop, but with anythign else,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CRASH!!
I am unable to get into the chat. I tried explorer and chrome and neither will allow us to access the chat. It continues to go around and around.

Creative Cloud is a blank white screen, can't download any apps, how do I fix?

PLEASE HELP!!
I downloaded Ai as a trial version, then purchased CS6 on a 12 month.
Now I'm trying to download other apps (tried Photoshop, Flash and Premiere Pro), however when I click 'download' to try and get the other apps Creative Cloud pops up and it's a blank white screen.
Nothing happens, anthing to click NOTHING.
I've tried shutting the computer down, reinstalling Creative Cloud. Even tried downloading the above programs as trial versions (to start with) but CC just keeps popping up with a blank white screen.
How do I fix, or better still just get the apps I'm after?Hi,
Welcome to the Community!
Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
Launch Creative Cloud

We run an iMac 3.4 GHz I7 in our church worship service; we have front screens and a stage display monitor ; we haven't upgraded to Mavericks because we heard about issues with multiple screens crashing. Has this issue been resolved? Now that we are 2 upgrades behind, I'm getting little concerned. Thank you!
Oh, well that was a whole other kettle of fish:
Oh the G4 I attempted to install iLife '08 before Lepoard was available. About the only thing that installed cleanly was iPhoto. I ended up reinstalling everything back to iLife '06, and then upgrading back to the current stable version of the iLife '06 version. I didn't attempt a reinstall until after I upgraded to Leopard.
When I did reinstall, I made a iLife '06 folder, copied all iLife apps into it, and upgraded. Seemed to work, except for the part where iMovie gets left behind and iDVD is only mostly functional.
When I installed on the other 2 machines, it was after installing Leopard and all upgrades. On those 2 machines, I didn't bother with the copy, I just moved everything to the iLife '06 folder I created, and did a fresh install.
I didn't have to do anything with the iPhoto Libraries, that I can recall.
I always do an upgrade, never an archive and install. I've never had a problem with this back to 10.1 or 10.2.
