White screen during booting up then after few seconds turned off

Hi All, Please help me out. I uninstall itunes in my MBP using one application called AppZapper. I then wanted to restart the MBP but the computer unable to restart to the OS. It just shows a white screen with an Apple logo and progressing icon, then after few seconds it shut down by itself. I am so sad. Please help me. Thanks

II'm having the same problem, except I've not installed anything new.
AS soon soon as I power on my MacBook Pro ( running OS Maverick ) it boots up for two minutes and powers itself off suddenly.  All I see is the white screen with the Apple logo and a bar underneath indicating the upload progress.

Call AppleCare.  You're still under warranty.

  • Stuck on white screen during reboot after installing Snow Leopard

I had no problem with installation, but am stuck on the white screen during automatic reboot. I manually ejected the disc hoping that would help. I am not sure how to get past this white screen of death. I tried to reset the PRAM but nothing I do will get me past the white screen.

I am having this problem right now. It just goes to white screen during the installation right after rebooting. Just before rebooting it tells me to be 'ready' with the second disc, but then reboots and goes to white screen with apple logo and spinning gears....am I supposed to be putting the second disc in at this stage? Shouldn't it be prompting me to do something? Did either of you figure a way around this? Any help much appreciated.

  • Sorry for my bad english. My ipod have a white screen and after few secondes somes lines appear

Sorry for my bad english. My ipod have a white screen and after few secondes somes lines appear.

    - Try a reet:
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next connect to computer and if it shows in iTunes restore the iPod.
    - If the screen is still white, let the battery fully drain and charge for an hour.
    - If still white screen it is time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
    - If not, the try the reset and connect to iTunes and restore.  Also try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • My Mac Mini starts to boot up then after a few minutes turns off.  Please help.

My Mac Mini starts to boot up then after a few minutes turns off.  Please help.

seen this happen many times, usually always due to corrupt memory.......could be a power module in the Mini, but unlikely.  hold down command R on startup, see if you can get into safe mode or ANY SCREEN ...If under warr. call mac for a service check, ....BUT if you have spare memory around that is compatable, try that first, process of elimination diagnostics.

  • Blank Screen during boot Win XP Pro

When i boot my computer (specs below) the Corecell logo comes up for a few seconds, the the screen will go blank for most of the rest of the boot.  it'll go about 45 seconds with a blank screen, then finally the windows XP logo will come on the screen, then a few seconds later, the windows desktop appears.  Also seems that the first 30 seconds or so of this blank screen, the hard drive LED isn't showing activity, then finally it'll kick in and the Windows XP logo shows up shortly after.
no big deal really, just wondering why i get this blank screen.  We have tons of Win XP pro machines at my job, and none of them boot with this blank screen.  I have seen other Win XP machines do this here and there, any ideas why?
    - Kip
(just wanted to clarify what i mean by "blank".  i mean black screen.  video signal is being fed to the screen, just nothing but the black.)

My God! You're running XP!!   Have you upgraded from 2000? Do you have any autostart program connected to an instant messaging or SQL server?

  • Imac 21.5 white screen on boot up

I have the A1311 2009 21.5" iMac. The computer was running fine. I changed startup disks to boot off of a friend's external USB backup to get some files off for them (I needed to export their address book and get other various files)
When I finished getting what I needed under system preferences I changed the boot up drive back to my imac's internal drive and clicked restart.
The computer restarted gave the startup chime and stayed at a blank white screen. No spinning sprocket.
I am using a usb keyboard and usb mouse.
The only boot keyboard command that works is command+option+p+r and when I do that I get the chime and a reboot.
I've tried resetting the SMC by unpluggin it.
I've tried inserting a disk warrior cd to boot off of it, but it doesn't boot. And holding the mouse button on startup does not eject the CD.
I've tried holding c when booting to boot of the CD drive.
I've tried holding option when starting. I've connected my own bootable USB backup and held "option" when starting.
I've tried holding shift when starting. I've tried command+r when starting.
Nothing happens. I always get the chime and then a white screen.
Looking online, it looked like several macbook air/pro owners with a similiar problem disconnected their HDD and then were able to boot off an external source. So I took off the glass and LCD and disconnected the 3 hdd connectors, put the screen on and tried booting again using all the steps above and every time always the same, a chime and then white screen.
I took all the ram out and when it was turned on got a low intermitent beep and black screen. Put the ram back in and get the startup chime and white screen.
I'm at a loss as to what else to try. I can't see how booting off my friend's external usb hdd would lead to this.
    Any suggestions.

I reopened the imac, removed the optical drive (hdd was already out). Restarted with my USB external HDD connected, nothing happened, white screen still. I then reconnected the friend's USB HDD also and restarted and got the screen to choose a startup disk.
Computer then boots fine from my external hdd. Turn it off, reinstall my HDD and optical drive.
Turn it on again and am greeting with the same blank white screen again.
I then remove the optical drive again and am able to boot from the internal drive. BUT when I go to system preferences to change startup disk, if I check the internal drive or the external USB drive and click reset I got the error "building boot caches on boot helper partition failed". I have no idea what is going on. I repair permissions several times.
I then restart the computer several times and it seems to restart consistently from the internal drive. I then put the optical drive back in and it now appears to be working.
The original external drive I booted from was a 10.5 macbook pro cloned drive. So I don't know if that somehow corrupted my 10.8 imac drive or some firmware that made it such that it wouldn't boot.
    What a hassle.
And for anyone who cares and has read this far, I am living in a remote town in Mongolia at the time and didn't have any suction cups to remove the front glass from the imac. I do have an iSesamo tool to open up ipod touches and such, and was able to use that to get the front glass off.
If anyone has an idea of what happened I'd be interested in hearing.

  • Older Version MacBook White Screen During Use

My MacBook (early 2009) keeps getting a white screen during use for anywhere from 15-90 seconds. Is this normal? What can I do to fix it? Or is the computer just too old and I should get a new one?

I have 24 inch iMac and I get either an almost black screen/white screen or sometimes a green and white vertical pinstriped screen. This happens suddenly with no warning & I have to hold the start button in to shut down. It then starts up fine with apparently no harm done. It is very annoying but I need to know why my Apple is doing this. Computer is around 2-3 years old and now running 10.6.8. I had to buy this as when I inherited the machine know one knew where the OS software was.
Does anyone rate Genius bar - can they determine what the prob is? I took a G5 tower in as it wouldn't start but they were unable to help - local PC shop sorted it charging me £100 - realised later it needed a new battery (£7) so you can't rely on anyone out there I'm afraid!
I will need a new iMac 27 inch anytime soon but am loath to give anyone currently selling machines the money!
