White screen of death from game. And a new game not working at all

My iPod touch 4th gen has been getting the white screen of death when I try to play plants vs zombies why does this keep happening and is there a way to stop it from happening again?
And I recently installed fruit ninja and it won`t work at all it opens but it just says loading and then it crashes and I've tried running it in safe mode and it still dies the same thing what can I do to get the game to work?

Try a hard reset and go from there. You might try a manual install (using DFU Mode), as outlined in the link below.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

Try tapping Settings > FaceTime, turning FaceTime Off, editing the Apple ID associated with FaceTime, and then turning it back on.

Calls worked through Mac and from iPhone and Now Suddenly Don't Work at All

After Monday's update, I was able to make and receive calls through my iPad 3 and iMac (about a year old) with no problems at all. Matter of fact, it was a little annoying to have all three devices ringing whenever I received a call. Then mid-week, this feature did not work at all.
What I've Done:
1) I've gone through the set-up guides and now my FaceTime doesn't even show the option to set-up this feature.
2) I've signed out of FaceTime on both devices multiple times.
3) I signed all the devices in on my iCloud e-mail to ensure they are on the same page.
Now phone number don't even show the option to call when I was freely making phone calls just a few days ago from my Mac, a feature I love. It's as if the settings don't even reflect it's possible to set-up this feature. On the FaceTime settings it doesn't even have the check box for allowing calls to be connected through.
Please help.

Airplay on ATV and AX from Lion and ML: ML does not work...

I am having a problem with Airplay under Mountain Lion...but not under Lion.
On a MBP 13 (Summer 2009), I can use iTunes Airplay under Lion to stream music to both an Apple TV and to a Airport Express. In fact, I can play iTunes music on the MBP, the Apple TV, and the Airport Express simultaneously (all 3 or any 2 or any 1, individually). [Of course, Airplay display mirroring does not work under Lion, but iTunes Airplay does.]
On a MBP 15 (Early 2011), I can use Airplay under Mountain Lion to mirror the MBP's display on the Apple TV and thus through mirroring I can stream the music from iTunes to the Apple TV. I cannot stream from iTunes to the Airport Express, whether or not I an mirroring to the Apple TV. In other words, even when the mirroring to the Apple TV mirroring is Off and the Apple TV is off, I still cannot use iTunes to stream music to the Airport Express. Now the Airport Express speakers shows up as an option in the iTunes Airplay menu, but when I select it in the menu it does not do anything.
In summary, using Lion I can stream iTunes music to both an Apple TV and to an Airport Express speakers, individually or simulaneously. Using Mountain Lion, I can stream iTunes music to the Apple TV, but only through the use of Airplay display mirroring. I cannot stream music to the Airport Express speakers even though the AX shows up as an item in the iTunes Airplay menu.
Any ideas how to fix this for ML so that it works as in Lion? I checked and have the same Preferences set for both the Lion iTunes and ML iTunes.

...a little more experimentation...
I booted the MBP 15 (Spring 2011) from an external backup of Lion (made immediately prior to switching to ML). When I turn off the Server Firewall then I can iTunes Airplay to both the Apple TV as well as to the Airport Express. But when I turn on the Server Firewall, even after allowing ports 3689, 42000-42999 both TCP and UDP, the Airplay does not work. I could not determine which ports were needed for iTunes Airplay, all I could figure out is that when the Server Firewall is off then iTunes Airplay works but when the Server Firewall is on then iTunes Airplay does not work. I tried logging all denied packets, but to no avail, I still could not determine which ones were being denied.
Interestingly, when I turn off the Server Firewall and switch on the System Preference Security pane Firewall, I can still iTunes Airplay to both the ATV and AX. It makes me wonder if when I switched to ML from Lion that some ipfw rules were not left over from the Lion Server Firewall that then keeps ML from allowing iTunes Airplay to work. (I wonder if I restore my Lion Server, then switch off the Lion Server Firewall, then download and install ML once again, then download and install OS X Server once again, whether the iTunes Airplay would then work? Maybe when I have some more time I'll try this, in the meantime I'm going to try a little harder to figure out why the Lion Server Firewall stops iTunes Airplay from working. Dang nabbit, even "ipfw show" does not tell me which packets are being denied when the Server Firewall is ON and iTunes Airplay does not work...does anyone have any suggestions on how to figure out why the Server Firewall is stopping iTunes Airplay from working?)

Can I get rid of 36? It installed an update and now firefox does not work at all

Hi wskossack, I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with Firefox 36. I am also sorry that we have not been able to get that working for you yet.
If what you really want is to uninstall Firefox we can do that. Of course I have to ask if you would be willing to let my help you to get the most up to date version of Firefox working. But, Firefox is all about the ability to customize. If you want we can install the last version of Firefox and you can use that until the next version comes out or while we work to get Firefox 36 working for you. I will try to cover every option in my reply.
First I will cover uninstalling Firefox. If you want to look at the [[Uninstall Firefox from your computer|article click here]] this can be done in about 7 steps
I would recommend that you completely uninstall Firefox and install it again. This will most likely fix any problems you have right now. Because you are asking how to do this I am going to assume that you have not tried this.
If you have Vista or Windows 7:
1) close any open Firefox windows.
2) from the start menu click on control panel
3) click on uninstall a program
4) from this list chose Firefox
5) click on uninstall (this is located turds the top)
If the Uninstall Wizard does not run, you can start it manually by running helper.exe, which is located in one of these locations by default:
(32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe
(64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe
6) in the Firefox uninstall wizard click next and on the next page click uninstall then click finish
7) to remove other files and folders that may not be removed by the uninstall, you must manually delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations by default:
(32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
(64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
The uninstaller does not remove any user data such as history or bookmarks. To completely remove this data, you must manually delete the Firefox folder containing your user profile:
Click the Windows Start button.
Type %APPDATA% in the search field and press enter to open the hidden Roaming folder.
Open the Mozilla folder
Delete the Firefox folder.
Now I am going to go over how to get the last version of Firefox installed on your computer. If you want to look at the [[Install an older version of Firefox|article click here]] . If you decide that this is what you want to do please look at the article for some impotent security information.
Firefox 35.0.1 was the last version of Firefox and you can get it by [https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/35.0.1/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2035.0.1.exe clicking here] . The link is also in the article. If you do this you will have to disable the auto update. To do this go to options, then go to advance. Under advance there will be a sub tab. You want to go to update. Then you can select to never check or to have it tell you when there is an update.
So the only thing left is for me to help you with any problems you are having with Firefox 36. I hope you will give me a chance. In any case, if you need any more information or help with anything that I went over please let me know.

Got a new computer last week. transferred over purchased songs from laptop and today it does not work

so i got a new desktop with windows 10 and the latest itunes on it last week. i signed into itunes and all my purchased songs from my laptop showed up and played fine. today when i clicked on itunes this message poped up "we could not complete your itunes store request. the network connection could not be established" i can see my songs but can not play them. internet connection is fine, and i do not see anything out of the ordinary.
i have read some folks that have had the same issues for mac and iphone, but not for windows 10. any help would be appreciated!

Adding a bit to what pac_80 said, you can only download tracks and videos from the iTunes Music Store one time. So you have to copy them from your old computer to your new one.
As to the "can't be found" problem, can you see the problem tracks in your iTunes Music folder? Or are they not there at all?

IMac slow and halting at best, Not working at all at worst

Ok, so I was on my Mac last night, playing World of Warcraft and running Safari as I usually do and it locked up my computer. So I thought, oh well that happens and turned it off using the power button. So I turned it back on, and it was stuck on the white screen before the grey Apple logo comes up. Then a folder with a ? icon came up.
I then plug jerked and shut off/turned on my surge-breaker and then rebooted. The white screen passed as normal but then it was at the Mac icon with the spinning progress circle and stayed there for around 10 min. I got to the account screen, logged in and then THAT took 10min to log in also. It finally got onto the desktop and I tried to open finder to see if maybe there was a corrupted folder or program, and the spinning ball greeted me and my mac locked up for 40sec(clock stopped too) then loaded. This has been the best I've gotten, but i cant do anything on it now. The software update becomes non-responsive, Safari is slow and locks up, basically every mundane task will lock up the computer.
Software update wouldn't force quit so i couldn't restart normally, so i shut down, ect. And now the ?folder is back. What is wrong or should i just send it in?
(I am not on said Mac obviously)

Before you opt for service, try a couple of things.
First, a question. Do you have 10-15% of your HD free at all times?
If you are able to boot from the software install DVD, do that and then run repair disk (not permissions).
If you can boot from the software install DVD, boot by holding the "D" key down. Run the extended diagnostics.

I would like to insert a new text. I thought i could use the touch-out tool but i can´t don´t know why. I did it with the typewriter tool. So the text is this
now i try to change the font type but i can´t. I do not get the Typeface Menu as the Acrobat Help says.

Indeed i do get it in the original PDF text but not in the new one.
I made a PDF from InDesign, i don´t have the original file with me now but i suposse i can edit the resulting PDF. I am reading Adobe online help but doesn´t work. I have Acrobat Pro 8.

thanks for the good info CtDave. I thought that even Acrobat 8 Pro would let me introduce a text and change its font type without too much trouble. I see that i can change the font style from the original pdf texts but NOT from new inserted text. For i moment i thought it was something related to the PDF Security or Editting settings but that is not the case since there is no restrictions.
I guess i will keep trying to see what is wrong just for the learning process

Without more information all I can suggest is:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I had a download on my angry birds game and now it does not work just turns screen black and then goes back to normal

my angry birds showed an update so i did, when it finished i cannot play it now, when try to play the welcome screen comes up and then after a few seconds turns black and then the phone returns to normal

I suggest taking it back to Best Buy. Once it has been opened, Apple will not handle the phone. Best Buy or another 3rd party are your only choices. Best Buy probably made an error when replacing the screen. Understand they are not an authorized Apple Service Center.
