White screen when I open itunes

Upgraded to iTunes 10.5 and get white screen when I open iTunes on computer with Windows 7.

Whitescreen is easy to fix in the security settings of Safari! Allow Cookies - other Apps will also work, like BankingApps...
Whitescreen in iTunesStore App @ iOS7 fixed in den Sicherheitseinstellungen von Safari. Einfach "Cookies erlauben". Andere Apps funktionieren dann auch zB Online Banking

  • Blue screen when re-opening iTunes 9.0.3 w/ iPod Classic already plugged in

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or something similar.
I have already reported this as a potential bug to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
This is regarding iTunes 9.0.3.15 for Windows
Potential bug: Windows blue screen (SYSTEMSERVICEEXCEPTION) when re-opening iTunes with iPod Classic 120GB already plugged into USB port.
I have been able to replicate this problem twice now. Here are the exact steps:
    1. Plug iPod Classic 120GB (bought new in November 2008) into a USB port and iTunes opens and syncs (I have it set to manually manage my iPod).
    2. Use iTunes for a bit, then click the eject icon next to my iPod in iTunes (when it's not syncing) but leave iPod plugged into the USB port (to charge).
    3. Close iTunes and use Internet Explorer for a few minutes and close Internet Explorer (with no other apps running).
    4. Open iTunes. iTunes connects to iPod (iPod screen shows "Connected").
    5. Scroll through the iTunes Music Library in List view, click any music file and a Windows Blue Screen appears (SYSTEMSERVICEEXCEPTION), does a memory dump and then forces the computer to restart.
So far, the blue screen only occurs under these specific circumstances. I do not know if this problem existed before iTunes 9.0.3.15 as I have never tried the above steps in earlier versions. I just happened to be able to retrace my steps to notice the blue screen problem in 9.0.3.15
This is the first time I have ever encountered a Windows Vista blue screen error in the year and half I have used Vista.
I am running Windows Vista SP1 64-bit on an HP Pavilion dv7-1014ca notebook.
Here is my iTunes diagnostics log (with some lines removed for privacy reasons):

I've gotten the exact same error message and problem... When I connect my iPod Nano 3Gen, iTunes comes up -- syncing begins -- and then immediately triggers a blue screen with the SystemServiceException error and a crash dump is generated. I have been unable to find a resolution in 3-4 weeks of searching, including HP Technical Support, trolling the Windows 7 Support sites, and now, here. The Advice given by HP was to uninstall all USB drivers and let reboot reinstall them. That didn't work. Then they asked me to reboot my PC, hit F10 until the BIOS came up, and then find and disable the "enable legacy USB" capability -- except that no such setting is available in my BIOS. Obviously it's a driver issue, and just as obviously it's a Windows 7 / iTunes issue -- but no one is offering a solution, yet.

  • White screen when I open laptop

When I close my Laptop at night, I'm having a problem the next morning.  Almost every night, I close the MacBook, don't turn it off, then next morning when I open it, I can see the screen, but there is a white screen over it.  I can hear what seems to be the disk drive start, then the laptop finally starts, slowly.  The mouse and/or mouse pad don't want to work at first, then decide to start up.  What's up with this???

Is the battery completely dead or does it just have a low capacity (meaning it doesn't last very long if you use the laptop on battery power)?
Sounds to me like you're seeing Safe Sleep. Does the image in this article look familiar?

  • White screen when i open my computer

My battery is bad in my laptop so i have to continually run off of the power cord. when i close my computer and the unplug it to move to another room, and i plug it back in, i get this white screen that is opaque and has a little loading bar at the bottom. does anyone know exactly what this is and how it works? i was under the impression that it would restart every time i unplug the power cord.

  • I get a white screen when I try to enter iTunes Store

I get a white screen when i enter the iTunes store. The toolbar on the left is OK. The top is OK. It doesn't crash or anything, and I am logged in when I do it.

If you're seeing a blank iTunes Store, you could try resetting Winsock. That's fixed the problem for some people.
Click on your Start menu, go to accessories, and click the Command Prompt icon. Once it opens, type in the following command...
    netsh winsock reset
Press Enter and it should say something like "winsock reset successful:
Then reboot your computer and try the iTunes Store again.
    Hope this helps.

The screen is completely blank in the app ? Have you tried closing the app via the phone's taskbar and/or done a soft-reset to see if it then displays anything ?
Closing an app : Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

That one is often a compatibility mode problem. Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

my ipod touch in white screen when i connect to the itunes can'tbe detected

    If not sucessful try:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
