Whither MQ 3.0.1 SP2?
I've come across a Java bug report against the Sun ONE Message Queue, that is marked as closed, and fixed in '3.0.1sp2' - I'm running the 3.0.1 version of the MQ that's currently up on the Sun download pages, but beyond that I can't find any references to sp1 or sp2 or anything relating to service packs... and the version of the MQ currently availalbe from sun at http://wwws.sun.com/software/download/products/3e3afa51.html still exhibits the problem described in Java bug number 4821708
So:
- What sp is the MQ that's currently available from sun? (and how can I find out what sp any MQ version is?)
- Is there an sp2 I can grab somewhere?
- Why are these version numbering and naming schemes so confusing? :)
Any help on this matter woudl be greatly appreciated!
To answer some of your questions:
3.0.1 SP1 is available to customers who have purchased support contracts. 3.0.1 SP2 will be made freely available to all possibly within
the next 30 days - not longer than 60 days. SP2 fixes about 50 bugs
relative to 3.0.1.
If you run imqbrokerd -v you will see the version number of the product.
It would list 3.0.1 SP2 if that is what you have installed

MSI MEGA PC 865
windows 98 XP whith SP2
I too have this exact same issue. The play, stop, forward, reverse buttons don't do anything, and also the sound buttons, they activate the volume window but not adjustment of the volume happens. The only buttons that work are the opening of applications and the power button. All this happened after I installed some free updating software for some other paid and free applications I have (Advanced SystemCare Professional), all quite legitiment, as a result there were corrupt icons and I had to uninstall the offending software and some corrupted software including Microsoft Office beta and reinstall... no viruses were found on a full Zonealarm scan. I have the DV6-2113TX on Win-7. If ANYONE has a clue how to fix the full functionality of the remote, please let me know as it's really niggling me that it just doesn't work even after reinstalling the drivers for the IR etc.
I tried contacting HP online and I get NO replies. I am yet to phone. It is still under warranty with 20 months left (8 months manufacturer, 12 months supplier).
cheers

MS Outlook 2007 PME...whith Win Prof SP2 OEM
Can I Instaling MS Outlook 2007 PME (french) at my Lenovo with Windows XP Pro (french) SP2 OEM???
ThanksInteresting question so I looked it up on the MS website. There is a 60 day free trial on this site. Unless you find out that it is specifically made to run with Vista, which I asume it is, go for the trial and see if it works. Also your computer should probably have at least 1 GB of memory.

Tecra M9-136 - BSOD during Vista SP2 update
Tecra M9-136 asked this morning to update to Vista SP2 and during the process the BSOD 0x0000007E arrived. Restarted in Safe Mode and the installer continued and then finally reported that the update had failed - and reverted to SP1. This took most of the morning.
It will start in Safe Mode but on a normal boot-up, Vista SP1 gets through the fingerprint recognition and then fails with the same BSOD (it doesn't get as far as displaying the desktop).
The laptop has BIOS level 1.80. I've tried in Safe mode to install 1.90 but it tells me that the battery has insufficient charge and the power adapter isn't attached. Both untrue.
Stuck - need advice. Could this be a hard fault? Can't see how I can update anything if it's a soft fault.
thanksThe message with the BSOD mentioned checking BIOS and driver versions. Anyway, no change made to that.,
I tried System Restore but the only available restore point was the SP2 installation. I thought Vista was supposed to save a restore point every 24 hours even if nothing new had been installed.

Sharepoint Foundation 2010 SP2 or SharePoint Foundation 2013
Experts,
I am installing FIM 2010 R2 SP1 on windows 2012.
FIM Sync installed on server1.
FIM Service installed on server2.
Now I have to install:-
FIM Portal on server3.
With googling I understand that I need SharePoint Foundation 2013 or SharePoint Foundation 2010 SP2.
Can anyone guide what would be the safe approach. I don't have any knowledge of SharePoint.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
MannConsidering you would use it for FIM only, it doesn't really matter which version would you pick.
If you want to implement FIM on Windows Server 2012 (or R2), just make sure that you install correct version of SharePoint (at least 2010 SP2)

Error While Creating Windows Server 2008 SP2 32-BIT Virtual Machine
I am facing an error while creating a Virtual Machine on the Cloud. The Error is below:
Error (610)
Virtual Machine Manager was unable to find a value for the required Sysprep parameter ProductKey.
Recommended Action
Add the missing Sysprep parameter either to the answer file or to the operating system configuration, and then try the operation again.
My Template does not have the Product Key defined. The OS is Windows Server 2008 SP2 32-BIT. Is defining Product Key absolutely necessary? I have other Templates for other Operating Systems and they are working fine. Only facing problem
with this.
Any help would be appreciated. In the SCVMM world a 'template' is composed of the following: a VHD with an OS that has been generalized (sysprep), virtual hardware profile (settings), and an OS profile.
The OS profile is required to have a product key. A MAC activation key at the minimum. But the key is required.
If you deploy a VM from a VHD, the same customization assumptions are not at play. Which is why it succeeds. (there is no template in this case, there is also no requirement that the OS in the VHD be sysprep'd).
SCVMM has rules. And lots of things don't make sense until you begin to understand them and play within them. (I am not saying that the SCVMM rules are a good thing, just saying they exist)

Error while installing SQL Server 2012 X64 SP2,
Error while installing SQL Server 2012 X64 SP2,
When I installed the SQL Server 2012 X64 SP1, I got the attached error.
What might be the issue here?
Thank you
Best
JamalHello,
Are you trying to install SQL Server on a compressed or encrypted drive? SQL Server won’t install on a drive/folder with these attributes.
Are you trying to install SQL Server on a ReFS file system? It is not supported on SQL Server 2012.
Disable any security/antivirus software and download the media again. Mount the media (.ISO file) and try to install again.
Hope this helps.

No wireless access with Windows XP Pro (SP2) on Macbook Pro
Hello,
Just installed Windows XP Pro (SP2) on my new Macbook Pro using Bootcamp Beta. The installation has gone fine with the exception of wireless access to the internet through my Airport home network.
I've tried all the other configuraton wizards on XP...no joy.
The three other macs in the house (2 wireless, 1 ethernet) and one Windows laptop (wireless) are all fine and dandy.
Any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks
17 and 15 Powerbooks, iMac
17 and 15 Powerbooks, iMacRight Click on My Computer
Select Manage
Click on Device Manager
Make sure that your Ethernet Adapters are working properly
If there is an red X or a yellow ! next to any ethernet adapter then try to reinstall the drivers.
(you can reinstall the drivers via the installation cd or double click on the hardware device under device manager. there should be a reinstall drivers button in there. point it to the CD that you burned from bootcamp)
(there will be a couple of devices that are not working properly.)

EP5.0 Custom .par File Does Not Work in EP6.0 SP2
I have a .par file called CustomerSearch.par that is used in EP5.0, and I am now trying to get this .par file to work in EP6.0 SP2. I noticed the directory structure changes, so my .par structure is this:
CustomerSearch.par
--> portal-inf
portalapp.xml
lib
CustomerSearch.jar
TableViewExample.class
pagelet
TableView.jsp
I am getting the following error in the portal console logs when I try to access the component after I have uploaded the CustomerSearch.par file. Does anyone have any suggestions?

nice to hear that we resolve the problem
> Karstens answer solved my base problem,
> Detlevs answer lead into the right direction.
Not that I've that need for points...
It's just the question why my answer (if you follow the link, my answer was: delete two lines, from which one is essential to be deleted) only "lead into the right direction"... In fact, it solved the base problem, I would claim for me
To give the technical background: If your write
<property name="ComponentType" value="jspnative"/>
the portal runtime expects a component consisting of a native JSP; the second directive -
<property name="JSP" value="pagelet/InitialPage.jsp"/>
- for this case tells where to find this JSP. So if you delete the first line, <i>at least</i> the second line has no sense anymore. To clean up such a portalapp.xml, it just makes sense also to delete the second line.

Can not connect to oracle10g release2 database On XP SP2. Help needed
Hi! friends!
I have used Oracle 8 and it was nice. I didn't run Oracle 9i.
Now I installed Oracle10g R2 in WinXP-SP2. There was no problem in installation. But i can't run it. I get the Black SQL screen. But if i give some command it says "Not connected to database".
Oracle 8 version had built in database "emp" and "sal". In start up username and password box used to come(scott/tiger). But here I don't know if there is any builtin database, even there is no place to input username/password. So i cant work with 10g.
So i can't give command like Oracle 8
select *
from emp;
I do not have any network in my Desktop PC.. pls help me how to run and test Oracle 10g database on my machine. Also tell the name of the built in database.
I am much in trouble.
I am wishing thanks in advance to all who will reply.
Regards
Abir Atarthy
[email protected]In 10g database
During installation is you choose "database creation" option then default database is created.
database name is "ORCL"
you can check in windows registry
On command prompt
cmd>net start
if it is showing "OracleServiceORCL" then database is created"scott/tiger user is also created but in 10g it is LOCKED by default.
so you have to first unlock this user.
Now you can connect with "sys"or "system" but you know their password.
in 10g there is no default password for sys or system, we have to mention during installation time.
if you don't know then you can connect with sys like "SQL> CONN / AS SYSDBA" to sqlplus. -
No audio device installed after windows vista sp2 update
Ok I will try to be as thorough as possible because I want to fix this problem and I hope somebody can help me.
So A few days ago There was an update for my audio driver so I accepted.
But after this update my sound worked but on next use the sound was gone.
So......I used system restore but no help the same thing happened
I went to the hp website to look up my audio driver for my model which was conexant audio 221
After download the driver wouldnt let me install it. I go to check in device manger to install it manually and the sound section is gone literally so i cant reformat or reinstall or anything 0.0
Somebody told me I need to upgrade to windows vista x64 sp2 which was in windows update.
So i tried it and still the same crap
I cant install the sound driver because there is no place in the device manager to install it to
I just get a message saying device installation failed device not found
i dont know what to do
My laptop is a hp dv2700 special edition notebook
Ive had it for a year no problems and this is the first major problem I've had ..............HELP
Past audio driver was conexant : Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 Driver
Ive tried reading through support forums but you have to understand THE SOUND VIDEO GAME CONTROLS SECTION IN DEVICE MANAGER IS GONE
when i go into the programs I find my audio devices which are conexant hd audio and conexant hd audio soft fax modem with smart cp but when I click on them nothing happenshi, im also exp. the same <text deleted> problem! i also get that error message "quick touch on screen display has stopped working" , lower right corner(volume icon)says"no audio output device is installed", no "video, sound & controllers" on device manager, i had tried reformatting, multible virus\malware scanners, ive tried multible registry cleaners, DL updated drivers, bios, audio(can't install,no audio device),and ive tried all of these conbinations with or without the windows updates, besides the audio prob, the cd/dvd icon's gone frm My comp, cant use the mic, and or webcam, SMART is detecting a hard disk failure now(iminent 2 fail) <text deleted> !,lol... ps HP or Microsoft really needs 2 take this into consideration, im tired of this, i will never buy another HP ever!! or windows!, **bleep** it if i have 2 spent another thousand dollars on a Mac,atleast ill get a much decent,"working" pc, that wontstress the **bleep** out of my mind!

Installation of Patch Set 9.2.0.7 on Windows XP Pro SP2 fails
When I tried to apply patch set 9.2.0.7 to my 9.2.0.5 installation on a computer with MS Windows XP Pro SP2, shortly after the selection of the target Oracle home directory the installer told me to shut down a large number of Windows processes (like RAS, RPC, etc., about 30 in total) that are not related at all to the installation.
Am I getting anything wrong? Or is this a bug (as I would suspect)?

csageYou are facing an annoying problem with Oracle installation on Windows.
It seems, some files are locked by
other processes than the Installer process.
The following workaround worked (for me):
Temporarily remove the reference to the Oracle Home at system startup
1. Rename the Oracle Home \bin directory to \bin_save
2. Reboot the system
3. Rename the bin_save directory back to bin again
4. Start patch installation again -
Windows 2003 SP2 upgrade question in regards to OSS 30478
We are currently running our production system on a windows 2003 sp1 two-node cluster with SQL 2005.
I would like to get it upgraded to SP2, but I have a question on OSS note 30478.
There is a sentence in there stating:
-Special features with Service Packs for Windows Server 2003 in the cluster:
Service Pack 2: Before you import Support Package on platform x86_64, you must replace SAP resource DLL on both cluster nodes with the most current version.
Can someone elaborate on "replace SAP resources DLL on both cluster nodes"?
Does that just mean I need to upgrade the Kernel to the latest version?
It seems to be a fairly bold statement with very vague instructions. Anyways any guidance would be appreciated.for more details see note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1043592">1043592</a>

Windows XP Pro SP2 cd-rom after downgrading from Vista
Hi everybody.
I successfully downgraded my T61p from Vista to XP Pro SP2 using the downgrade cd-roms send by Lenovo.
Everything seems to work well. I downloaded all drivers. No problem.
But I recently installed a rather old software that I frequently used on my old A31p. This software (a Microsoft program !) has automatically modified some files from XP Pro without any autorization.
Once it was done, I was asked by the system to insert the original Windows XP Pro SP2 cd-rom to repair this modification.
Of course, the (Vista to XP) downgrade cd-rom set was not recognized by the Thinkpad as the original XP set.
An original cd-rom which I finally don't have !
I tried with an original XP Pro SP2 cd-rom bought a few years ago for my A31p. Unsuccessful.
Where could I find the XP Pro SP2 cd-rom corresponding to the downgraded system ?
Thanks for your help and suggestions.
Regards.

Thinkpad A31p - T42p - T61p - TP TabletJames,
thanks for your answer.
But I wrote on my first post "I tried with an original XP Pro SP2 cd-rom bought a few years ago for my A31p. Unsuccessful."
Thus, I don't see any difference between an original Microsoft Windows XP2 Pro SP2 version cd-rom and one created by burning a downloaded version of the OS. An original was not recognized, what would a copy do ?
If possible, it might be probably better to create an XP Pro SP2 cd-rom from the "Rescue and Recovery" files which were reinstalled when downgrading from Vista to XP. (I hate the word "downgrade" : while I was doing it, I had the feeling I was upgrading my Thinkpad !)
I have been using for several years (and still use) an A31p (Since 2002, 8 to 10 hours a day) and a T42p. IMHO, the T61p is the same category of "great" notebooks. Thinkpads are really the best notebooks I have ever used. I noted no significant difference between IBM and Lenovo Thinkpads.
