Whne I copy text from firefox into excel, linenumbers are prefixed to my data. how do I stop this
This is a problem which occurs on both the PC and MAC platforms. When I select text on a webpage in Firefox and then copy that text and try to paste it into Excel, line numbers appear at the start of each line of text. This wouldn't be a problem if the numbers were in a separate column but they are embedded in the same cell as the text which I've copied. This does not happen in other browsers.
I can confirm it is using the single ID that is causing this issue.
You will need to use multiple ID's however, these can share the same payment ID.
Hope this helps!

My iphone 4 is broken, cannot access anything on there at all. I am currently using my sim in an old Samsung phone, whenever I text someone that has an iphone or they text me I do not receive the reply it go to my ipad as an iMessage.
I need to stop this as missing lots of messages! How do I do this?
Many thanksTo fix this requires puttting your sim in your iPhone 4 & turning iMessage off...which you say you can't do; logging into your Apple support profile online & removing your iPhone 4...that is if you setup a support profile. You can also go to Settings>Messages>Send/Receive, on your iPad, and remove your phone number.

When I burn a disk from my playlist the songs are out of order. How can I fix this? Thanks!
I'm not 100% sure but I think you create your play order manually then select the playlist, right click it (or use ctrl+click) & select "Copy to play order".
I think when you burn that playlist it should obey that order, it has been so long since I made a mix CD that I'm not certain, good luck. -
Phone says "New voicemail(1)" but if I log into voicemail there are no new messages. How can I clear this?
Oh no SN95GT50, great question. I am sure seeing that notification is annoying. What make/model phone do you have? If you have an Android device, you can go into Settings, Application Manager, Voicemail, Clear Cache. Let us know if you are still needing assistance.

I have downloaded a CD from the itunes store but it seems to keep downloading. how do i stop this and get a refund for the unwanted CD's
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer. -
Copying text from internet into Appleworks
Hello!
So, I would like to copy some exact text, same colors and fonts, from a web page on Firefox into Appleworks. When I paste the selection into a word processing document, the text comes up, but it pastes in Lucinda Grande text and with black ink. Why is this? Is there a way that I can paste the exact colors and font into a document? I looked through the Help Viewer pages, but I couldn't find anything on this topic.
Thank you!
-Kat ForsterIn addition to Niel's excellent suggestions, have you tried another web browser? I think this could be a limitation of FireFox. I just copied & pasted text from a page (my home page) from both FireFox & Safari. Text from FireFox changed to Lucida Grande in all black text, text from Safari pasted as Times with underlined blue text for the links, just as they are on the page. I used this page because I know that the page has the text as a default serif font.

If my network connection goes out briefly due to a problem at my ISP, FireFox immediately opens a "diagnose network problems" page. This is particularly annoying when I don't even have FireFox or any other software open. Ideally, I do NOT want FireFox to even check if my Network is connected. How can I stop this?

I moved over to a new Apple Mac using a time machine back up. Since then when ever I use Firefox it stops and asks if it's ok to use a font located on an external hardrive. How can I stop this?
I tried reloading FF but had the same problem but maybe I need to completely eradicate any trace of FF first - is there a way of doing this.
I've already moved back to Safari but there are a couple of sites I have to use that don't work properly so I have to revert to FF -
Copying text from carrier into PO
I have set up the following process. I linked the standard partner role CR carrier to the vendor master and the purchase order to make carrier determination possible.
Meaning in my vendor master I added a carrier, meaning when I create a PO for that vendor the carrier will be assigned. Now I have a text on carrier level "shipping instructions" which I would like to see on my PO. But when I create my PO and I check the header text "shipping instruction", the text from the vendor is copied and not the one from the carrier.
When I check customizing I can define all kind of copying rules but I'm not able to refer or set up a copy ole based on partner roles.
Is there a way doing this without enhancement?
Thanks
Walter GorisThanks for your prompt answer, but the problem is that the carrier text is stored at carrier level which is only assigned with a partner role to the vendor. Creating another text on vendor level isn't a solution as I can have more than 1 carrier for a vendor. During PO creation the correct carrier will be selected from the partner role. at that moment the text from the carrier should be taken over.
Example: vendor A has carrier X and carrier Y. Carrier X has a text X and carrier Y has a text Y.
When I create a PO for vendor A when I save the system will bring me a pop-up to choose between carrier X & T. When I select X, the text X should appear on my PO but in my current set up I get the text from vendor A.
You see a solution for that

I have recently recieved messages indicating that my start up disc is almost full. Consequently I need to remove some files from my hard drive. I've backed up my hard drive onto a NAS system & onto an external harddrive. The problem now, is that whenever I try to delete a file, a message comes up saying that if I remove this file from my hard disc it will remove it from all my other devices that are syn. to it. How do I remove a file (movies) from my iMac but not from other devices.
Thanks for your help
RobertYou're right - this question has nothing to do with iSync!
You're best bet would be to buy yourself an external Firewire or USB 2.0 hard-disk. There's no way you'll get 150gb onto an 80gb drive - certainly not in an instantly accessible way.
Your new Mac would've had the Migration Assistant appear during the initial OS install. This allows you to connect your new and old Mac together via a Firewire cable and automatically transfer your important files from old Mac to new.
Once you've all the files off your old Mac, re-format it and re-install the OS that came with it. If you boot up the Mac from the OS install DVD, there is an option to re-format the HD and install the OS.

I have multiple tabs open. I want to look at one of them and I click on it. Instead of simply switching to that tab, Firefox opens a new window. Very annoying! Why does it do this and, more importantly, how do I make it stop?
I'm using Firefox 36.0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.Hi reddbrad,
I've never heard of this issue before. Have you tried refreshing and/or re-installing Firefox? Take a look at this article: [[Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems]] I would try #6 and if that doesn't do it, #5.
'''Note:''' When using the refresh feature, your bookmarks, browsing history, open tabs, windows, passwords, cookies and web form auto-fill information will be saved. However, your extensions and themes will be removed and your preferences will be reset. -
Firefox Start now has autofill on the search. How can I stop this?
Firefox Start, Google search used to have no autofill for searches When I type in a search I do not want to see suggestions for my search. This is extremely distracting. This is the only reason I use Firefox Start. Google will not let you opt out of the autofill for searches. How can I make this stop in Firefox?!?
this is a google problem(for others is awesome fuction)
to deactivated do the follow:
type in the address bar ''' http://www.google.com/preferences
then find ''' Google Instant ''' session
then click ''' Do not use google instant'''
do not forget to save preferences, click the button down-right in the same page.
thank you

how do i stop all email address sent from my phone from being added to my contact list?
What kind of email account is this? Generally this only happens with accounts that you sync with Outlook. There is a setting in Outlook to add them. Most other mail clients will display a suggested list from previously written email, but will not automatically add them to the contact list.
Are you actually seeing them in the contact list, or is it just that when you go to type another name in with a similar starting letter you are seeing the name? The iPhone keeps this in a cache in case you want to use them again, but they delete eventually. Or, you can delete them by starting the email out, then tapping on the to the end of the address and then deleting the suggestion. -
I do activate acrobat, but it still comes up next time I need to open a pdf file. The same problem occurs when I use a quicktime file. I get the drop down to let me me allow every time but again , next time I want to use see or hear a quicktime file I get the same question. This is very annoying. I went into options and chose the file to use to open rather than having it ask me but that didn't solve the issue either.
You can check for problems with preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
