Who are inactive employees in SAP in regards to Personnel Administration?

HI folks,
In PA an ee becomes inactive or withdrawn after we terminate someone. I was wondering why there is a distinction between inactive and withdrawn. So, the question arises who are inactive and who are withdrawn ees. and one more question on that Can inactive or withdrawn ees be paid in SAP or does it always have to be an active ee?

Employment status:
0: Employee not with company
1: Employee with company, but inactive
2: Employee with company, but as retiree
3: Employee active in company
– Value 0 - The employee has left the company and should no longer be
included in the payroll run. An individual retroactive run is permitted for
him or her in the system.
– Value 1 - The employee belongs to the company, but is granted leave for
military service, maternity leave, or other absence reasons. In reality,
most inactive contracts are not entered in the system as status changes
but as absences. Payroll is run for inactive employees, but their pay can
be reduced according to special factoring rules.
– Value 2 - The employee is retired. If this person is entitled to a company
pension, the system still includes this employee in the payroll run. If not,
the system assigns specification 0 to this employee.
– Value 3 - The employee belongs to the company and is active.

    And yes simply send them a DPF file and set up a Group in your e-mail Server, or individual if that works better. More work though.

    What I am trying to accomplish is that we have a customized SAP web dynpro program with Java that access R3 data.
    I would like to create a lock in R3 to prevent the record in R3 being accessed by more than one person.
    The problem was that in our customized portal programs will not always exit gracefully and the lock will not be cleared correctly all the time.
    If there is a way that I can access the user logon data in portal (java stack), I will try to figure out how to unlock the record after the person exit.

    Hi I want to find users who left the company. I ran program rsusr200 in se38 but not understanding which option will clearly give me the invalid users. Also i had a doubt. Does users with password deactivated that the user left the company.

    The "password" field in this report will not necessarily show you users who have left the company. The password may be be "active" since this is a new user and they have not yet logged on. You would need to compare as well the field "Created On". I would use the last logon field as an indicator of who may have left - if someone has not logged on in 90 days, that could be an indicator.

    I can think of two different solutions. You can choose the one as per the requirement.
    1. Creating  a report of locked employees as on date.
      Active employee that are locked in Infotype 3.
    As infotype 3 doesnt have different Begin data and end dates, we cannot have historic data/report.
    2. Creating a report for payroll not run.
    Getting a list of active  employees
    Check the RT of the employees for previous payroll runs.
    You can use the selection criterila for dates/months.

    will give you a hint using data analysis perspective, hope it might be useful for you.
    in data analysis you can get total number of employees (personnel numbers) who have certain characteristics (active employee for example) from PA0000 and then you can compare vs number of employees (personnel numbers) in the record infotypes you want to check.
    download records from PA0023 an PA0094. you may process the data using pivot table. then you can compare which personnel number does not have record in related infotypes.
    use tcode SE16 Data Browser or use sap query

    I am exporting ADDL_PAY_DATA Data through PI Export Process for earning codes defined in Definition Table.
    PI Process picking up few extra employees in export file who are not suppose to be in export file.
    Export File has following fields.
    Company - From Custom View based on JOB
    Branch - From Custom View based on JOB
    Department (RC) - From Custom View based on JOB
    Empl ID - From ADDL_PAY_DATA

    Hi Sunder,
    The BAdI that needs to be implemented is OTM_EMPL_ORG_ASSIGNMENT, provided you use the new IDOC ODT_EMPL and report OTM_TRIGGER_EMPL_REPL_CE. (For the old IDOC there is a similar BAdI HROTM_EMPL_ORGANIZATION_FILTER.)
    If you already implemented the BAdI in ERP to add the dummy cost center assignment to the employee you just need to create the dummy cost center in CfTE.
    This can be done under
         Master Data Replication -> Manual Replication -> Cost Centers
    There you just can create a file and fill it manually directly within the transaction. Then it needs to be processes and afterwards you should go to the Import Monitor for Cost Centers and Click on button Replicate All. If you filled everything correctly after some minutes the dummy cost center should be created. You can control this under Display -> Cost Centers in the adminstrator cockpit.

    How to do basic LO extraction for SAP-R3-BW
    1. Go to transaction code RSA3 and see if any data is available related to your DataSource. If data is there in RSA3 then go to transaction code LBWG (Delete Setup data) and delete the data by entering the application name.
    2. Go to transaction SBIW --> Settings for Application Specific Datasource --> Logistics --> Managing extract structures --> Initialization --> Filling the Setup table --> Application specific setup of statistical data --> perform setup (relevant application)
    3. In OLI*** (for example OLI7BW for Statistical setup for old documents : Orders) give the name of the run and execute. Now all the available records from R/3 will be loaded to setup tables.
    4. Go to transaction RSA3 and check the data.
    5. Go to transaction LBWE and make sure the update mode for the corresponding DataSource is serialized V3 update.
    6. Go to BW system and create infopackage and under the update tab select the initialize delta process. And schedule the package. Now all the data available in the setup tables are now loaded into the data target.
    7.Now for the delta records go to LBWE in R/3 and change the update mode for the corresponding DataSource to Direct/Queue delta. By doing this record will bypass SM13 and directly go to RSA7. Go to transaction code RSA7 there you can see green light # Once the new records are added immediately you can see the record in RSA7.
    8.Go to BW system and create a new infopackage for delta loads. Double click on new infopackage. Under update tab you can see the delta update radio button.
    9.Now you can go to your data target and see the delta record.

    RSA1 -> source systems -> right click on your source system -> replicate

    Hi Kush,
    Before writing any Database Query, always keep 2 important thumb rules in your mind :
    1. Keep the number of data base access small
    2. Keep the amount of data transfer small.
    As you mentioned the Database Table has only 100 records, you can locally buffer the Table. So, make a local buffering and then you can sort the table based on the salary.
    Select *
      from Table_name
    into table gt_itab.
    Sort gt_itab by salary descending.
    Now you can read the  entries one after the another based on the index.
    Have a look at the following code for an efficient performance feature. Goto SE38 and have a look at the ABAP Examples.

  • Regarding IOS 7 activation lock.  For people who are not early adopter or wealthy, relying on second hand purchase to own an IOS 7 device, has any consideration been given? Online purchases are routine.  In good faith, many will now suffer for not knowing

    I am part of the second hand market, non early adopter, that's trying to use an IOS 7 device.  I just bought an Ipod touch 5th gen and an Iphone 5 with IOS 7 and quickly learn that I've just lost many hundreds of dollars because of the activation lock.  Of course, I should have known better...be smarter, etc.  Now I have two bricks, basically fancy Apple product that're now junks.  With IOS 7 and the activation lock, isn't Apple concerns that they will soon frustrate a lot of new and existing users and will also be known for creating increasing number of junk (brick) devices.

    The hope is that the activation lock will deter future thieves. Apple has long been inundated with irate customers who have had their devices lost or stolen, and who are then angry that Apple cannot protect their phone from would-be thieves.
    With the new security measures, unless the owner of the phone turns off Find My iPhone, and wipes the phone completely, it is unusable to anyone but that original owner.
    I'm sorry you have had such an unfortunate experience with your purchases, but these security measures are as much to protect you from purchasing a stolen phone from an unscrupulous seller as it is to protect a phone you own from being stolen.
    Is there no way you can contact the seller(s) and have them turn off Find My iPhone and wipe the device for you?
    Going forward, it is the best policy for you to ensure that the seller has done both of these things. If they cannot, then you know that they are probably not on the up and up.

    inactive employees, indicated in sap e-recruiting by the flag IS_INACTIVE in IT 5102 are in the understanding of sap e-recruiting no longer employees, so they are counted and treated as external and not internal candidates. E.g. if you use a get_candidate method which returns the IS_EMPLOYEE flag this will be false for them.
    Some of the job search applications use the same implementation for external and internal candidates. They will determine if the current user is an internal or external and depending on that show internal or external published jobs. So if you call such an application for an inactive employee you will see another result than if calling for an active one - at least if you do not have every single posting publish for internal and external channel.
    Of course not every inactive employee is really an external candidate. This is right for employees who quit or were fired but employees on maternity leave, on sabbatical or a company supported education are often set inactie but in a companies understanding still persons which should be allowed to apply on internal postings. This is a usual issue on projects for internal job market. Other way around there are also employee groups like interns which sometimes should not be allowed to apply as the are "no real" employees.
    There are posibilities to take influence on the ALE handling / HR-Erec integration to set IS_INACTIVE not purely based on STAT2 of IT 0001 but so far most companies decided to handle this topic off system due to the bad cost / result ratio.

  • Restrict creation of appraisals for inactive employees using BADI

    Please could someone guide or assist me.
    When we use Tx APPCREATE to create an appraisal for an employee, it allows us to create an appraisal for an inactive employee. When we drop down the appraisee field (search for the appraisee), we can view & select employees that are inactive.
    I would like to exclude the inactive employees from the appraisee list.
    I have tried to use BADI HRHAP00_TMPL_RESTR, and created an implementation, but it doesn't seem to be called when i created the appraisal, i have tried debugging it to see if i get out to this badi, but no luck.
    Any help in this regards will be greatly appreciated.

    As far as I know, you are using the right BADI for your requirement. Can you plz. try creating appraisal documents through PHAP_CREATE_PA or PHAP_PREPARE instead of APPCREATE Tcode.
    BTW, have you incorporated the BADI (filter) to your appriasal template?
