Who can help - my Playbook just flashes 1 + 4 in sequence red
Playbook flashes 5 times,1 red flash than 4 red flashes
restart with power button doesn't work (pressing button for 20 seconds
pressing power button and + and - buttons doesn't work as well
connecting to desktop software doesn´t `t work as the PC doesn`t "see " my playbook.....

First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I am sorry to say that, but your security makes my life miserable – it’s been 2 months since my Apple ID account got stuck, and since then I cannot update 37 applications (to date), i.e. most of my applications. Half of them I bought. I also paid for iCloud, and it is not working. I paid money and I am stuck with old applications and no iCloud. Your security *****. Your service ***** too. It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. And the problem is still not fixed. NOT FIXED. You just leave your customer – the one who paid you money and spent so much time with you trying to help you help me – and nothing. You tell me: “Vitas, Stick your stinky iphone in your *** and enjoy life, we do not care!” *************.

Get someone in the partners-telephone carriers company (it is Orange as carreer and Cellcom as seller of the phone) authorized to Identify me in personal encounter in one of the branches in Israel (where I live) and make sure it is really me, and get the ******* system accept my password and let me use my phone.

Vitas DijokasWell, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you -
I have installed ios7 on my iPad 4. After installation it asked me a pass code which I have never set. After multiple attempts it is disabled. I don't have backup on my iCloud or iTunes. Is there anyone who can help to enable it or to reverse iPad to ios6. I asked Apple store & tech said to format it but I will lose all the data..!
Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

I have just joined this "Discuccion site" Ihave had most of the problems that have been mentioned. The largest problem I have seen over the years is the lack of caring by customer service. They did not care in any way. This past year I have noticed a slight improvement. Now they will tell you that you may talk to a supervisor, but they have no idea who they work for, who sign their checks and a telephone number were you may call and have someone help you with your problems. I for one want to know who I work for, who pays me for working, and how to get intouch with someone who can help if I have a problem. I found these names and their seretary's names and numbers with very little time in researching. It at least gave me a place to go to if needed and could also tell the Verizon repersentive who they worked for.I got my iphone, and open box... I found iphone ( there wasn't any operator card) he look's good... And then when i insert my operator card, change country and rigion, make wifi connection , it write "only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate Iphone...Please insert the Sim card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrie's store to receive a replacement Sim".... I know that it is unbelivible, but maybe apple make mistake??? What to do?

A 15" mid-2009 MBP RAM specifications are: 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM.
As has been pointed out, OWC is an excellent source for Mac compatible RAM. Crucial is another first rate source for Mac RAM. RAM from either vendor will work just as well as any purchased from Apple with the bonus of being less expensive and having a lifetime guarantee.

What was this program for, or did you just assume it's something you shouldn't have and therefore arbitrarily decide to "throw it away"? Exactly how did you supposedly throw it away?
If you didn't change your administrator password, there's no reason it shouldn't work now, so that suggests you did something else, or changed it and then forgot what it was.
You can't recover that password; you can only change it. To do that, you would need to boot from your Snow Leopard DVD, choose your language, then choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu in the top menu bar. -
Have installed MacOsX Lion has trouble hooking up to my StoraNas server with my usual username and password, some who can help me?
This is a common problam discussed on the Netgear forums. I have yet to see a solution, just comments that there will need to be a fix from Netgear. if anyone has heard of a solution or of the update being issued, please let us know.

Hi...I've been reading the forum for days and have been finding information in small bits and pieces...but I need someone who can help me put it all together. Basically, we are trying to move our mail server in-house. We have a better than T1 connection, I just need SOMEONE who can tell me exactly what we need to do to set up mail service on osx server 10.4.8 to work for us. Any takers?
I have enough knowledge to set up our web and file sharing services (very easy, no brainer stuff), but really I'm lost on the Mail Service setup.

I hope this thread is not resolved. Even if it is, this is my solution.
0.1. You must have a domain name pointing to your public IP
0.2. Your router (if you have one) must forward smtp, pop, and imap ports to the private IP adress of the sever
Server Admin
1. You must have DNS enable with your domain name configured. I presume that you know to.
2. Setup your mail service
in General
2.1. Activate POP
2.2. Acivate Imap (if you need)
2.3. Activate SMTP
2.4. Accept incoming mail
2.5. Retain outgoing mail
in filter
2.6. Set up as you need
in advanced->security
2.7. Set up aurhentifaction for smtp and pop.(important for smtp because you can be a spam relay)
in advanced->Hosting
2.8. add your domain name in localhost window
Users admin
3. Go to your users account (mail tab)
3.1 Activate mail
3.2 Choose receipt method.
I've followed this procedure 5 or 6 times and it's working fine every time.
Be carefull. In 10.4.8, something change in Imap service and the send of messages dont work. There is a little corrective to apply (a line to change in a config file but I do not remember what)

I went to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925 and did a complete removal and reinstallation of iTunes. You MUST follow the directions here exactly...it's more than just iTunes that must be removed, and it MUST be done in the order in which the support article says. I followed the exact instructions, and iTunes is back on my machine (no more C runtime error) and you do NOT lose your music...it's all in my library, as it was before.

FCPX 10.1.1 freezes all the time, who can HELP?

I am on a deadline with my project and FCPX won't move anymore. There must be a million reports at Apple now, because I forced a stop contiuously, but I don't expect any direct response that can help me. Perhaps the next update.
I started a library, created events and projects. The latest project went slower and slower and came to a stand still. I discovered, that the project properties indicated 720p and 1280 x 720, both of them I never use. All my footage in this project is 1080p and 1920 x 1080. Could that be the reason of freezing? And if so, how can I get out of this corner? Does anybody know and is willing to help?
Some details: I use iMac, late 2009, 16GB internal memory, 2,8GHz Intel Core i7, OSX 10.9.2 (13C64). Can't create a new event or project. Even tried to delete the affected event and project, tried to delete the original media in the event, but all I ever see is the colorful ball, turning like it is fun to be stuck while time ticks on.
Luckily I still have a MacBookPro, which I didn't upgrade (still Lion), still on FCPX 10.0.9, so I can al least stumble on, but I am not amused.
Who can help me?

16GB is good, but I am sure you'll be limited by your hard drive options...
What kind of hard drive, and how is connected? How much free space does it have? These are likely to cause bottlenecks, especially dealing with HD material, like you are.
If you are using the internal hard drive, or an external on USB2, I can see how your editing will likely crawl.
Even the likely best option for your mac, FW800, is not fast by today's standards. -
Who can help when my camera malfunctions overseas?
I am on Oslo, Norway. I purchased my camera 2 weeks ago in Sydney Australia and it is malfunctioning. I cannot take shots of my trip. Who can help me? The camera a dsc-Hx60v and it keeps flashing through all the menu options and I cannot stop it. It is stuck on self timer and the battery runs out every day . Please help
