Who can I contact within Apple when needing to escalate a problem?

Hi All,
I've been having some serious problems in getting my 8 month old iMac repaired. It's been since Aug. 24, 2008 since my iMac stopped working, and it's been 3 weeks since today that my iMac has been dropped off at the local Apple Store without any resolution.
I've contacted Apple Care, who has contacted the Apple Store, in trying to get my iMac replaced, but I keep running into constant road blocks!
When I call Apple Care to complain, they just keep calling the Apple Store. When I call the Apple Store to complain, they keep telling me the person I need to talk to is out, at lunch, or will return my call... only to hear that they have to 'talk to my store manager'.
I would be happy to post all the problems I've had, but last time I did that, my post was deleted.
I would rather get this resolved as professional as possible, but unfortunatley it is getting to the point that I may need legal help to get my iMac back.
Can someone tell me what to do or who to call? I bought a special order iMac from apple.com through my business... also bought Apple Care with it...
I've spoken to the Apple Store, but never get a specific, definite resolution. I've spoken to Apple Care, and ask to speak to the supervisor, but they just keep calling my Apple Store and then just relay back to me what the genius at the bar tell them... however I keep hearing something different when 'I' call the Apple Store.
Please help.... ?

I am curious though... I found out the store is 'building' an iMac comparable to the one I had. They are upgrading the hard drive and memory in the iMac that they have to match the specs of my original.
I didn't think this could be done, as the serial won't match the system specs?
It makes me nervous that if I call Apple Care that my 1TB drive needs to be replaced, they will tell me that my system doesn't have a 1TB drive.
To me, it's like taking your corvette in for service, and instead they give you back a different car, but tell you they will change out all the parts to make it a corvette. Seems like a lot more work, along with more possible problems down the road.
Has anyone else ever heard of an Apple Store doing this?

    It has always beenv ery basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
    If you have failed to backup, then you can redownload some content.  Open itunes store, click Purchased, under Quick Links

    I woke up today around 9:30 am UK Time, checked my emails on my phone and then started playing "Talking Ginger" kids game because of one of the offers, around 10:00 I noticed an email alert on top of my iphone screen about itunes receipt.
    When I opened this, it was about "Kids Song Collection" purchase reciept for £1:49.
    I was shocked because first of all my 3 years old daughter is sleeping, secondly I have security settings configured in iphone with a complex password to purchase and she does not know that password and thirdly I am using the phone and I know I didn't even open App Store or that app so how come this has happened.  I did a search on google about how to report and tried to follow the process through itunes but every time I click on "report a problem in itunes" this opens a new apple page in firefox "http://www.apple.com/uk/support/itunes/"
    Whilst further browsing Purchase History in itunes I also noticed another purchase from yesterday about "FireWorks Arcade" and this was unbelieveable because I didn't even receive any receipt yesterday about that purchase and again I am the only one who can make purchases due to the complex password known only to myself.
    I am not sure what is going on here, but clearly as per today's incident it seems that apple is loosing their control.
    Please advise what can be done here.

  • I recently updated my prepaid plan option to take advantage of more data and my previous month of already paid service was cut short. Who can I contact to successfully resolve this issue?

    I have a prepaid Moto G that has had continuous prepaid service through Verizon for over a year. I switched this device to the $45/mo 512MB Smartphone plan when it was introduced last year, configuring autopay for the 29th of each month for service renewal on the 2nd of the following month and taking advantage of the autopay bonus of 512MB of additional data. On January 30th, I noticed that Verizon had transitioned to an updated plan of $45/mo for 1 GB and selected this new option from my phone on the My Verizon Mobile app with the expectation that this would take effect at my next renewal on February 2nd or at the very least any future months beyond February would have renewal dates of at least the 30th.
    Instead, the $45 balance in my account from January 29th was used and the new plan was implemented immediately, wiping the remaining days from my already paid for service. Furthermore, because February only has 28 days, my new renewal date was set to the 28th not only next month, but for each month thereafter, despite the fact that this change took place on January 30th. At this time, my autopay is configured to occur on the 29th (except for next month), but all future plan renewals will occur a day before that.
    While this may seem like a trivial issue to resolve, my autopay date was configured on the 29th for personal financial reasons and I am extremely frustrated to have lost additional paid for service for the second time. I lost over two weeks of a 2GB plan when moving to the 512MB plan initially, I just lost several days more in this transition, and a 45 minute online chat and two separate trips to a Verizon Wireless store totaling over an hour and a half of time in an attempt to resolve this issue by having my plan renewal date restored to where it was have been unhelpful, with the closest opportunity for resolution being "we can fix it, but we will have to disconnect your phone for several days".
    At this point, I feel that some sort of account credit or allowance is warranted, at the very least, but I would still like resolution on fixing my plan renewal if possible. Who can I contact about this?

  • The replacement shipment of my iPod 1st generation did not arrive and I can not trace the shipment. Who can I contact?

    I received an email that the replacement of my IPOD NANO was shipped. It was supposde to arrive at my address in France within two working days. Now, we are 4 weeks later and the shipment has still not arrived. There is a tracking number in the email but it does not have a link. I do not know which express delivery service is supposed to deliver. How can I verify the shipment? Who can I contact for help to track the delivery or resend the replacement product?

    Thanks for the advice. I contacted the expresslane service and have to admit that it works very well. They call you back immediately! I have contacted them already three times: unfortunately, the first person gave me a wrong tracking information, the second person was "technical" and asked me to call during business hours. Number 3 was helpful and told me that the shipping by French postal service might take 5-6 weeks (and not the 2 days as announced in the e-mail I had received). So, I still have to wait and contact them again if the replacement iPod does not arrive in the coming days ... We will see!

    Garmin is sending you to Apple because it is Apple that would have to give you a refund as the actual point of sale.  However, Apple states all sales are final.
    Apple is sending you to Garmin because it is Garmin's fault their maps are out of date and Apple doesn't write the software.  They may not even be looking that deeply and simply perceiving it as a programming "bug" it is up to Garmin to solve.
    Who know whose fault it is that Garmin isn't getting up to date data to put in their maps.
    Ultimately I think you stand the best chance in getting a refund from Apple though it isn't guaranteed.  Apple is the cashier.  You just have to convince them this isn't just a line of code omitted from an application and isn't something that will be soon corrected by Garmin.  Make it clear it isn't a problem with the application running on your device, it is a problem with the data it contains.  Either that or you have to hope Garmin will feel so bad about it they will delve down into their slush fund and send you a refund.

    Do you mean that you have another, separate, Apple ID you would prefer to use? If so you need to sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and then sign in with the new ID.
    Or do you mean that you want to change the address which forms your Apple ID? You do this at

    - click 'Manage your account' and you can change this address provided that it is not an @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com address - those can't be changed (or changed to), but you can change a non-Apple address to another non-Apple address.
