This doent pertain to overclocker casue if you go over 219 fsb on 800 fsb pcu it disables mat..
Who here with an 865, 875 mobo can run 2 or 2.5 cas timings in ultra turbo with less then 215 FSB.
If so which brand ramm and what bios and board do you have .
I am about to order ramm thats iss 3-3-3-8 but i would rather get the corsair xmas which is 2-3-3-6 if id be able to run it in ultra turbo..
what do you think and all responses definately appreciated.....

All i know is that before i flashed my bios on my old pcb, all was wel in ultra turbo ..
After the flash couldnt do it anymore regardless of old flash and msi on the phone for 2 hours....
I think the 875 p has some hidden number which it calculates as being dafe or not, if your memory regardless of what timings you set it at reads lower then it thinks safe you will crash at boot.
Thats why i am making all this hype about memory . I cant afford to rMa belive you me i want that corsair twinx1024-3200cpt thats listed in the ramm module spec. Only thing is how to tell if its version 1.1 like they ask . I dont think version 1.1 is abtainable. this is referring to the ramm list for the neo 875 fisr pcb 2.0 . Also it lists ocz but which one do i get..
From what you are telling me, is anyone will work and to get2-2-2-5 if i can , but i think there might be a catch to this when the boards reads it. Im unsure. If so how to fake out the bios and let your manuel timings stick.
On my last boord after the flash , even when i flashed back i after loading default and running onece i restarted and set them to 3-4-4-8 and if i even went from slow to fast i could not boot. This only hapened in dual mode. In single i could hit ultra turbo....
remarks lol... If you know a way around this... also if you can tell me about that corsir ramm listed in the fisr's list. i can buy it but how do i know its v1.1 lol...
no, MAT can be still enabled with SPD disabled. for example i have the performance mode enabled, but i set my RAM timings manually. but i said that before, you must have missed it...
i didnt understand what you were trying to say here, your english is pretty weird. 2-2-2-5 timings can be done only with the new Corsair XL memory, and only under 215MHz. this kinda "is" the ultra turbo mode i guess, because you cant tighten the timings anymore.
and as that other guy said, 2-3-2-6 rated memory is always a safe bet as far as compatibility is concerned, from Kingston, Corsair or whoever. the new BIOS version dont have any problems with that from my experience.
as i said, i dont understand your other questions, but i hope your memory issue is solved.

We have 10.1.0.4 on SuSE 9 on x86 64bit Sun servers.
We have databases that if started manually come up without the warning, but if started via a shell script scheduled through a crontab start up with this warning: "Oracle instance running on a system with low open file descriptor".
My understanding is that it has to do with OS ulimit. it appears that non-interactive shell (crontab) does not set the nofiles at 65536.
All our system are set up exactly the same way. The problem is, though, that some systems do not report the warning even when started non-interactively.
My question is this: assuming my nofiles ulimit is in fact too low on all systems, why would some systems report the warning and others would not? Is there anything database specific the instance looks for when it starts, such as the number of datafiles in the database, instance memory size, etc..., which would make the instance warn in some cases but not the others?

This is a good reference and we may end up looking into the patch bundle associated with the bug.
But does anyone have any idea why the systems that are set up the same exact way would warn on systems and not on others?
Also, the Metalink note talks about init.crsd. I have not build an association between this inconsistency and RAC.
What I do see is that if we start up our database non-interactively (where ulimit -n resolves to 1024, instead of 65536) the warning is generated, in some cases.
Perhaps, the 1024 is too low. But then my question is why would Oracle think it is too low only on some servers and not all?

In Pages capitalization doesn't work as described. One can start with lower case and change to upper, but changing from upper case to any of the other options doesn't work. Is there a way around this or is this just a glitch that needs fixing?
I think it does work as described, but the description is not very complete. Capitalization does not change any of the characters that you type; what it does is allow some of the lower case characters to display as capitals. If you copy the result and paste it as plain text, you'll see that the lower case characters are still there. It doesn't actually say anywhere that it can make capitals display as lower case, and it can't.
The obvious way around this is to actually type what you want.
The more powerful way is to install WordService from Devon Technologies which adds the functionality of Pages' capitalization menu as well a lot of other ones. WordService actually changes the character to the one displayed, and it works in most of the applications on your Mac. -
TURBO or ULTRA TURBO with NO PAT= Higher Stability
Hi all, I was playing around with a computer I am building for a friend with the Neo2 board and 2 sticks of ddr400 Micron memory and I discovered something:
If you enable Turbo or Ultra Turbo (didn't try Fast) and manually set the memory to 400mhz, then PAT is NOT ENABLED, BUT you still get a very considerable increase in memory bandwidth (according to sandra).
In turbo I got about 4800 mb/s and in Ultra Turbo I got 4910 MB/S. What's the point you might ask? Well, the computer did not crash at all while playing any game (UT2003, Call of Duty) or while benchmarking (ran 3dmark01 in a loop for 2 hours, and 3dmark03 as well).
If I set the memory frequency to AUTO and set Turbo or Ultra turbo, PAT would be enabled but I did get occasional crashes while playing games (crash to desktop, not BSOD). However, memory bandwidth is like 100mb/s or so higher with PAT (not worth it).
BTW, I did all of this with Bios 1.9

With FSB at 220 & Turbo setting PAT is off! mem auto PAT is on! 400 PAT is off! When 219 FSB then pat mysteriously turns itself off !
i think this is due to the limitation of the chipset ?
So PAT on Then PAT off bit of a gimmick i think, can't see it taking off unless it stays on when oc is implemented otherwise it will have to be off so no point in having it! -

I have created a 'rmanback; user who only can run the RMAN script only . I have created user like follwoing way :

-----SYSOPER is a privilege that is not enough for recovery manager. Talking about SYSOPER privileges to perform a backup/recover operation from a sqlplus prompt, SYSOPER can perform backup operations, but when recovery is required, the only kind of recover it can perform is a complete recover, if the user requires any kind of incomplete recover it won't be possible since SYSOPER cannot issue neither of until time|change|cancel|controlfile operations, which require the user to connect with the SYSDBA role.
If you attempt to connect to the database by means of recovery manager with an account with SYSOPER role, you will get the following error:

How can I change a column to lower case?
I selected an entire column and discovered that it's already set at Format > Font > Capitalization > None
If I change "None" to "All Caps," it capitalizes everything. But when I change it back to "None," letters that were originally capitalized remain capitalized. How can I change EVERY letter in a column to lower case?
Thanks.Format > Font > Capitalization changes how the text is displayed. But it doesn't change the actual text.
To change all letters to lower case you can use the LOWER() function in cells that refer to the original text. Then select the cells with the formula displaying the "recapitalized" text, command-c to copy, and Edit > Paste Formula Results to remove the formulas.

Can I make the keyboard display lower case letters?
Sorry for possibly a totally n00bie question....I'm completely new to Apple products. I just bought my first Apple product yesterday, iPad Air (full size).
My question is in regard to the virtual keyboard. It displays the letters in upper case, so it makes it difficult to determine between upper and lower when I press the shift key because it doesn't look any different.
Is there a way to make the keyboard display lower case letters when in lower case mode and vica versa for upper case?In my opinion, this is still one the silliest oversights in design by Apple. They can make the little switch button on flashlight icon in the control tray toggle between up and down, but they can't toggle the case of the letters to reflect the status of the Shift key? Seriously...without actually using your phone, can you tell me which icon represents Shift being enabled? Is it the black arrow with the white background or the white arrow with the grey background?

Conversion takes place when converting the contents of a screen field from display format to SAP-internal format and vice versa and when outputting with the ABAP statement WRITE, depending on the data type of the field.
If standard conversion is not suitable, it can be overridden by specifying a conversion routine in the underlying domain.
A conversion routine is identified by its five-place name and is stored as a group of two function modules. The function modules have a fixed naming convention. The following function modules are assigned to conversion routine xxxxx:
CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_INPUT
CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_OUTPUT
The INPUT module performs the conversion from display format to internal format. The OUTPUT module performs the conversion from internal format to display format.
If a screen field refers to a domain with a conversion routine, this conversion routine is executed automatically each time an entry is made in this screen field or when values are displayed with this screen field.
I have to correct myself . if the entry in small letters is allowed or not is already defined in the domain of the field.
You can see this in SE11.
set radio button to Domain and enter CHARG in the domain field and click display.
in the definition tab you can see a box for Lower Case, which means that lower case entries are only allowed if this box is activated. (btw: the field for the conversion routine can be seen above) -

when I list tables
select * from tab;
the table name is shown in lower case or Initcap.
I cannot drop or manipulate that table.
How can I drop that table(s)?

You don't need it because depends on format your using while transfering a value to interface of fm.
The program maintains the format of a variable, only the selection-screen convert the parameter if it's used a type doesn't support the lowercase.
Anyway you can use the command TRANSLATE:
A: TRANSLATE <FIELD> TO UPPER CASE.
B: TRANSLATE <FIELD> TO LOWER CASE.
