Who do you notify about a bad / corrupted file in a Album download?

So who do I notify if one song in an album is being reported as corrupted, and will not download. The Album (Circumstance - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Song # 9 "FInding You" by Gingger Shankar. I get the same error on the iPad as I do in iTunes on my WIndows PC, download error.
Any suggestions on how to get the file / album repaired so that all songs download properly.

How can i delete a corrupted file that will not download?

I recently purchased a song on itunes and i keep getting a message that tells me to try redownloading due to the song being a corrupt file. When i attempt to redownload the song, i get another error message that tells me the download could not be completed. At this point i just want to delete the download, but since it was never actually downloaded it wont go away. Everytime i open my itunes i get the error message and it continues to pop up every ten minutes. Please help!

Highlight the said file on the Music section of your Library, and press the Backspace key. When asked whether you want to move to the trash, say yes. Then you may download it again looking in Your Account in the purchased section.

Can you notify a user that the file is opened by another user?

Apologies if this is a repeat or redundant question....
Is there a built-in (non-3rd party) way to have a user notified/alerted that the pdf is open by another user when they open the file. I know the lock message pops up when you go to save a file thats opened elsewhere....but the problem is that the users un-aware of this until after they've done a bunch of work.
I perfer not to get into having to password protect the files, etc....just an initial alert is desirable. Any inputs are greatly appreciated.

Basically my laptop keeps crashing, after some looking through though i believe this may be to do with a file i have ( at the moment i only really have pictures, videos and music files).
Is there any way I can find out if one of them is causing my laptop to freeze?

Theoretically, bad driver/program can cause crashing or Os itself. What error message do you get. I advise you to reinstall a display driver

Remove the previos one, restart the laptop and install new downloaded display driver.

Corrupted files in Audition Loopology download?

I bought the disk version of Adobe Production Premium CS5.5, but the Audition Loopology Content is missing. I successfully downloaded them from the Download Page, but many of the files seem to be corrupted, sounding like a badly tuned radio station. Is this a problem on my end, or are the files getting corrupted during download? I downloaded the bad ones two or three times, same result. (Almost all of the Classical Orchestra files were this way, except for the Choir.)

They're unzipping as .wav files, which normally play in the Mac
applications. Maybe some of the files are older, and were created in a
different format? Anyway, I tried your suggestion and exported one out of
Audition as an .mp3 and .aif. Both played fine in Spacebar Preview. So, it
appears that only the initial .wav translation present any problem.
This may or may not be something worth correcting. Maybe not, since Adobe
Audition seems to have no problem with the files, and that's their original
intent. And, again, this may have something to do with Lion. I've
encountered another audio glitch associated with Lion, using Sorenson
Squeeze. Briefly, it won't translate a Quicktime Movie to .wmv unless it
has an audio track, even if the video has no sound.
So, this may be totally an Apple issue.

HT5503 I'm getting a corrupt file when trying to download IOS 6 via iTunes (version 10.7 (21))

After iOS6 is downloaded via iTunes (ver. 10.7 (21)), I am getting the message that the downloaded version of IOS 6 is corrupt on "my iphone". Check Network connection and try downloading again.
Anyway have any ideas how to correct this? I updates to IOS 6 successfully on my 3GS 3 days prious doing it the same way.

After waiting 1 hour to download on dial-up the finished file says corrupt file and only has downloaded 9.5 MB

I have downloaded 3 time (1 hour each time) the download stops at 9.5 MB (not the 11.9 MB the download states) and when I try to open it the warning comes back as File Corrupt. Is this a built in stop of the old Firefox or just the telephone companies lack of providing a good service. Also I waited the 20 minutes for live help and am now looking at internet explorer as a new possibility of changing to that.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

How would you go about limiting file upload

I don't need source code, just want to know if it's possible or how to go about limiting how many files a user can upload.
So far
I can limit what types of files get uploaded.
I can limit how big those files can be.
Is it possible, or how would you go about limiting how many files get sent?
- When the user does a browse they can select multiple files.

How to find corrupted files

With my 2 yr old macbook, I cannot update my recently purchased iphone 4 when an ipdate is available. I get message: "...device isn't eligble for requested rebuild." I have worked with Apple store Genius bar staff 4 times with no sucess. Latest attempt was to erase HD, reinstall OS X, and only reinstall itunesin orde to test the update feature. In this scenario, with only itunes on the macbook, the update is successful. However, after I drag and dropped many, but not all, of my programs and files from the saved data on external HD back onto the macbook, and tried an update on a different iphone 4 (in our family plan), same problem. So I guess somewhere in what I transferred back onto the macbook is a bad file. I suppose I could go through the tedious process of transferring one program/file at a time onto the macbook, then trying the update again, but I can't do an update after each transfer because there is no new update to download, as they come out only every so often.
Is there a program that can scan the external HD to find bad/corrupted files? I have Spring cleaning and Drive Genius, neither of which seem to have the features to do such a scan (they do have disk scan, which I have run, along with Apple's Tech Tool, and all such scan operations have show no problems)
(to complicate this, this apparent bad file on this macbook likely came from my white intel based iMac. I first discovered this "updating of the iphone 4 problem" on the imac. When we bought the macbook, we bought one to one and had the Apple store do a complete transfer from the imac to the macbook in its first time set up. I purchased the iphone 4 in Sep 2010 and first tried an update in Nov 2010, which failed. I have been back to the Apple Genius bar 5 times since then with this problem. During one of those visits, Genius suggested trying to do just the update of my iphone 4 from the macbook, and that is when we discovered the macbook had the same problem. So this bad file likely was transferred to the macbook in that initial set up transfer. Furthermore, this macbook is still under AppleCare, yet that does not seem to mean anything to the Genius Bar. Tomorrow I will call applecare about this, but in the meantime, if anyone out there has a clue, I'm much obliged.

I didn't know of this console feature. I see Mozy.backup doing something. I had tried Mozy on this imac a long time ago and stopped using it, and I thought I had deleted it. When I just now searched for mozy, all I get is .pdf file. Do you think this could be the problem and how would I get totally rid of mozy files? Thanks

Creating TOC corrupts file

Hi,
Wondering if anyone has the same issue and found a workaround.
I spent 3 hours on creating and designing a TOC for my book. All was well and I was very happy. Today I opende the file, and both the file and the backup I created one hour before ending work yesterday didn't open. Corrupt.
I work with CS5, but I remember I had the same in CS4. The file is doing well until you create/update a Table of Contents.
The file probably has some corruption that creating a TOC makes Indesign mess up the file for good, but exporting and importing back doesn't help one bit.
I've tries all the standard answers you can Google for against corrupt files, but can't nail this one. Can't find a decent workaround except for making a backup every five minutes when I'm working on the file, or update the TOC, don't save, but export. So I can never save an up to date TOC.
Anyone who has had this issue as well: please respond. Thanks. I am on W7/CS5/Dutch.

Indesign feels like the most instable piece of software since Windows 95. (And yes, it crashes on the Mac just as hard.)

None of the symptoms you describe are in any way usual or "normal" for ANY version of ID. This is probably a system-specific problem such as conflicting software or a bad font, What's your OS?
Do you get an error message when you try to open this file?

hi all! i'm very new to mac, and i am having a problem when downloading....until yesterday, everything was great! now i am getting a message that says "corrupt file," and stops the downloading midway. all the help on the net is for pc:( just so you know, i am not a computer lingo person. any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I attended two schools that had cougs as mascots. In fact, I remember when WSU had a live cougar housed on Stadium Way. Graduated from Pullman High and live in the county.
I went to the website - megavideo - and saw a lot of pop-up messages and talk about downloading to a PC. If it was working, the next question will be "do you have a backup of your computer or 'Time Machine' to take you back to a prior state on your hard drive?"
I saw one link that wanted to download a download manager, one that was an .exe file that will only run on a PC, one that was removed for copywrite infringement, and another link that was seized by the department of homeland security, etc.

the game is completely a rip off once you play it for about 20+ hours your game will start losing date and then all of a sudden your system will freeze anytime you start the file. they will give you useless device and say that they can not refund due to you downloading and playing it... well i wanted the game and now you've sold me a corrupted file and i don't trust your company. I want my refund so i can go purchase the disc from a reliable non corrupt establishment. Thanks for your time and uselessness have a good day sony im finished.

Reading all corrupt files on a CD

I am trying to read files from CDs, some of which are faulty. As it stands, if I copy all the files at one go from a CD to a folder, the copy process stops when a faulty file is encountered. A bit of a bother because then I have to initiate a second copy, starting from the next file.
Is it possible to initiate copying of all files on a CD, and the whole process goes to completion with warnings that certain of the files are faulty and have not been completely copied?

Another problem with copying corrupt CD audio files with Finder is that they will appear as normal on the computer, with the correct time-length displayed, but will actually only contain data up to the corruption. The problem then arises (if you forget that you had an error message for a certain file), that you end up with a corrupt file that is partly playable but stops. If the corruption is near the end of a long symphony, you probably won't realise the problem until you play the file all the way through.
I would have thought if a file was corrupt it shouldn't be saved at all.
Moral: don't use the Finder to copy CD audio files. Use iTunes (with error-correction) or Max.
