The left side of my screen is higher than the other side,
and this seems prevalent here,so?

My phone is exactly as you describe. If I look at the phone on edge, the top left corner of the screen is raised a fraction of a fraction of a millimeter above the silver trim, whereas the other three corners are flush with the trim.
But the phone works perfectly, so who cares?

Prepaid accounts don't have Account Owners/Managers, they just have Account Members (and prepaid accounts have less options regarding changes via their My Verizon account as a result).

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

A really basic question from a medic who has no place on this forum!

I am writing to beg your indulgence as to my lack of knowledge and to ask for help with what I think is a simple problem, but I am sure has a complicated solution!
I have created a self contained flash program on prescribing to help doctors improve their skills and to make less errors.
I did this in powepoint and used a program call PPT to flash by wondershare to create the flash programme.
Now that the restriction has been eased, I would love to convert this programme to an iphone / ipad app, as well as for other portable pay mediums.
Is it possible to do this with what I have created? What I mean is, would I need to create and code from scratch to then package as an iphone app, or can it be ripped from what I have already created?
If this is possible, what software do I need to purchase to do this?

Since no one has answered you, I thought I would chime in in case any of it is useful. I am not 100% certain of what I say here, but it's probably the case.
I have not used any PPT to SWF software like you mention and am not familiar with it. But from my knowledge, if it is published to a FlashPlayer 10.x SWF (which I doubt - because many of these swf decompiler programs use older Flashplayer versions) then yes, in theory you should be able to do it.
If that is the case you would need:
1) an Apple iPhone Developer's account that you buy and get accepted for
2) Flash CS5
3) iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad as a testing device
4) iTunes synced to your device
and then you could run the Packager with the appropriate DRM signing (from your Apple Dev acct) and turn the SWF into an IPA. Then you use iTunes to sync the app to the device and install it.
That all being said, if your original app was done in something (forgive me for saying this) as clunky as Powerpoint (it's not exactly a great rich interactive development tool) then it could easily be redone natively in Flash itself - coding it in ActionScript 3 and then create a SWF itself and then export that to the iOS devices. That way you have one less translation occuring. It seems like you are asking for trouble to convert PPT to SWF and then to IPA, and I would guess depending on what you've done, either easy enough to do natively in flash, or possibly even if the double-porting you suggest *does* work then it is unlikely Apple would approve it for the app store if it doesn't meet the new app approval criteria.
You probably need to find a local Flash developer to help you with this.

Am I the only person who has (or cares) about this problem with IMAP

I have multiple mailboxes in my IMAP account and i have to go into each mailbox to see if there is new mail. Is there a way to just update all mailboxes on the iphone? is it an IMAP setting? Is this Apple's way of trying to get me to buy mobile me?

I have nearly 100 folders, in a nested hierarchy, in my imap account. If it had to check every one of them when checking mail, it would take a ridiculously long time, eat up battery, etc. So I hope they don't change it to automatically check for new mail in every folder.
If you must have your filters applied to incoming mail such that emails get sorted to various folders, here's a solution that might help you.
1. Create a new folder in your imap acount, called something like "foriphone".
2. Instead of just having the filter move the message, have it copy the message to the new foriphone folder first, then move it to its appropriate place.
So now all incoming mail will be found either in the inbox (if it's not going to be sorted to somewhere else), or in the folders where sorted mail winds up, AND ALSO a copy of all sorted mail will be found in the foriphone folder.
All you have to do when checking mail is look at your inbox, and look at the foriphone folder. Every once in a while delete everything in the foriphone folder, since they're only copies of all the sorted mail.
Just an idea.

My iPad 3 seems to take forever to charge. It will easily take 6 hours plus to fully charge to 100%, it has always been like this so thought it was normal, however my friends point out it isn't. Does anyone else have similar charging times? Thanks, Claire

I have had my iPad 3 since Feb 2012 and have always commented on it's slowness to charge. I was just wondering if it's meant to take 6 hours plus to charge to 100% or if this is a bit excessive?
As it has always done it, I have never really thought of it but a lot of my friends are now commenting that it's a really long time and it shouldn't take that long.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Why can't I download itunes 10.5 and why has it been like this for days and apple hasn't fixed it yet?

I have tried multiple times to download itunes on my pc with windows 7. At this point I am incredibly frustrated and have come to the conclusion that a) apple so doesn't care about the pc users that purchase their products b) itunes is apparently not meant to be user friendly since many people can't even download it and c) the people employed by apple aren't that bright since that can't make a working version of a program that they have put out not once or twice but over 10 times...

I had the same experience. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, with Windows 7 Home Edition, 32 bit.
I tried to install iTunes 10.5 and it started installing, then, just before the end of the process, came up with the following error message:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
Of course, no information on what the program that couldn't be run was! At first I tried the usual stuff, like scanning for viruses etc. but nothing doing. Then I started Googling. In the end, I uninstalled all Apple stuff from my computer. A lot of it I had to do manually, going in to the program files drive and deleting stuff from there, but some of it wouldn't delete as it was saying it was open in Windows Explorer. In the end, I managed to delete the iTunes folders by selecting one of my mp3 tracks saved on the computer and right clicking 'open with'. I then browsed my pc to locate the iTunes folders still outstanding and was able to right click and delete them that way.
Then emptied the recycle bin and did a restart before going online and downloading iTunes 10.5.
Thankfully it worked, but its taken me a good few hours and made me really quite tetchy! I've never had this problem before, so I hope this is going to be a one off.
One thing that doesn't seem to be working is that, despite how many times I tell it that my preference is for the iTunes Media folder to be located on my external hard drive, it keeps putting it back to the C drive! Didn't have that issue with the last version. Grrrrrr. Arrrrgggh.
Hope you manage to get yours sorted - this is affecting a lot of people by the look of things.

Who has the knowledge for this

OK this group has never let me down before, but this time I think I'll have to concede this is a devil. I have a Pioneer MVH-8200BT head unit in my car, this is compatible with my iPhone 4 and will charge it via a usb input on the front and a cable supplied by Pioneer which has a jack cable built into it to stream video from my ipod to it as well. Now I want to run my navigation software navfree from the app store and have the radio playing while I have vioce commands run through the speaker of the iPhone. my problem every time I plug the cable into the phone the sound will only play through the Pioneer unit and only when set to iPod. Now I know you guys may not have had experience of the navfree software, so does anyone know of a nav app that will allow you to select the speaker on the iPhone as an option in prefs. Anyone got any ideas. Cheers.

I afraid you may not find much about modifying print programs as they are just programs, and for the most part of what I've seen, fairly straight foward. You get the data, you write out the data. It is a bit tricky to find out where you need to put code in some cases.
All I can really say is pay attention to the data that is being written, then search the program for where that data is being filled and printed.

So a week after i updated iOS 8 my wifi won't connect other devices will, i am unable to get to a apple store since where i live doesn't have them. this is the second time iPod has done something like this. I've tried restarting it and everything

so i tried to restart the iPod, 'forget' the wifi name and re join nothing happened. i also did the reset network connection. as i said please give me something i can do via macbook or home since i live no where near a apple store. Last year my iPod shut off and wouldnt work this now is happening. Do i have to restore?? and how can i save everything from deleting....??

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Has this always been like this?

I have just noticed that asking to be taken to the last message of a thread takes one to the last edited post, not to the last posted message. Also, the edited message shows its original time in the list, but the date and time of the last edit when open.
Has it always been like this, or has a recent change been made? I ask because I don't recall having observed this before (which doesn't really mean much). And, regardless of whether this is a recent change or it has always been like this, I find it very confusing. Perhaps marking a message as edited should be automatic, and not voluntary as it is today?
I am thinking, for example, of the automatic addition at the end of a message of a note saying "Last edited by (name of the author or host/moderator) on (date and time)". The reason for the edit would be added only if voluntarily added by the person who did it. As I will do voluntarily at the end of this message immediately after posting it.
I think that if, at the same time, editing a message doesn't make it automatically become the last one, everything would be quite a lot more clear and logical.

I'm not a software developer, so that's not for me to work out. The system is already in place to allow for the requested comment to be placed at the end of the message, that's all I was commenting about. By default the checkbox could be ENABLED and not be given the choice to disable it.
I am not sure if others are specifically looking for the timestamp, but clearly the system already has it in place, if it is taking a reader to the last *edited* message. Since it's already there, displaying it shouldn't be such a tough thing for a software development company to do.

Beginning a thread does not equate to how many replies end up in the thread, so saying that an OP started a 70 message thread is not relevant. I am converting from forms 4.5 to 6i.
Somewhere in the block i found a for loop that has been written like this:
for i in :control_block.first_item..:control_block.last_item loop
end loop;
(The error message reads like "bad bind variable 'Control_block.first_item'")
I checked those items and they are inside the control_block.
Any idea on why the error is showing up will be highly appreciated.....

Ever seen a CRASH on OSX like this?

It happened to mine while I was on the dashboard. Its the first time anything like this has happened to my imac. Just wondering if this is something I should be worried about or if its something that happens from time to time? or better still does anyone know why this might have happened?

You could download the latest update for OSX from the support section of this site and install that. It should update the drivers.
To be honest I don't think its a software problem. Your software would appear to be working fine underneath that problem which looks like a problem with your graphics card.
I would keep an eye on it. If you have only just got the mac get onto apple immediately.

You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)

7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)

My Bootstrap nav conundrum: Does anyone who has used a bootstrap nav in BC had this issue or know the fix: If you look at any page on http://www.aerotype.com, the first two clicks on almost any part of the page (like the rotator image left or right arrow) cause the page to jump, and you open the inspector on the top nav area and look at the div with the class="navbar-collapse collapse navbar-right navbar-ex1-collapse" you'll see that an additional class, .in, is added and .collapse is removed on the first click, and a style="height: auto;" is added, then on the second click it's changed to style="height: 0;"... I can't figure our what is causing 'in' to be added to the class (or .collapse removed), what it's for, or how to change it, if that is the issue... the his doesn't happen when the class: navbar-collapse is removed, so I think is has something to do with that but of course the collapse doesn't function without it. If anyone can enlighten me on what is going on I would Greatly appreciate it.

Your are better off just deleting it (the click function) as it is not doing what the code comment says it does.
