Who has my phone number?

I recently completed a house move and got assigned a new number. The phone line has never worked since.
All the line checking tests pass, my broadband provider (not BT) seem to think everything is fine with my line too. However, I cannot get a dial-tone and the wireless router cannot sync (it doesn't even indicate that a DSL connection is available). So I'm assuming that my line is completely dead and that someone, somewhere, has a brand new line with my broadband service. I called BT and someone is sending an engineer out on Jan 4th. I'm not sure what good that will do to be honest. When I call my number it rings but no-one ever answers so I can't prove someone has my number.
How hard can it be to do this?

Line tests never seem to show anything, most faults still check as line is good
I think you need an engineer to call on this one after reporting as a phone fault don't mention Broadband it just muddies the water

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

Who'sWho Off Phone number is been displayed instead of Offi email ID

Hi Experts,
Few users of our portal are facing the below issue in standard Who'sWho application.
Users search for their name and the application displays it.
But there is some data inconsistency as the Official Phone number is been displayed instead of Official email ID.
At the back end the data is maintained properly.
When the official phone number is not maintained at R/3 the application displays the email id correct.
But once the official phone number is update the system picks the phone number as email id.
Why does it happen only with selected users ?
how can i solve this ?

I found out that there is no RFC which is called instead there is standard infoset query which is fired.
The name of the query is "/SAPQUERY/HR_ESS"
how shall I debug this query please help as I have not worked on it before.
The problem is not seen in quality portal.
Is it possible to create a request for the standard query and send it.

After iOS 6 update, iPad has wrong phone number for Facetime

I have my phone as well as my mom's on my iTunes account. She updated her phone today and signed into my account. When I updated my iPad this evening, it then associated my iPad with her number for Facetime and I've spent the last 2 hours searching for how to change it without success. It has my email--since it's the only one associated with the iTunes account, but I'd like to not have her phone on my iPad. Anyone have any ideas on how to get her number off of it?

Do you have the mute switch engaged? It's the little slider over the volume buttons on the side. If you can see orange, it's engaged. Slide it the other way.

Somebody else has my phone number?!

For the past month, I have been receiving phone calls from various numbers and upon answering the person on the other line says that they just received a call from my number. I didn't initiate the call nor do I recognize any of the numbers of those that have called me. This is somewhat troubling because this it has happened at least 10 times in the past month. I checked my AT&T call history/statement and there is no indication that these calls were made from my phone. The calls are from various numbers and area codes (more often from my area code but sometimes from surrounding area codes).
Any ideas??

Most often it's because someone's got a new number and they've told all of their family and friends, except they've transposed a couple of digits in the number. Just persevere telling them that they have the wrong number and when they get back to 'source' they'll find out the correct number.
It's sometimes simply people passing on numbers between friends or colleagues that causes the problem, but if everyone had iPhones then the issue would have been solved because sharing contacts is easy (and error-free)!
If your problem persists then contact AT&T and get yourself a new number - not ideal, but you don't need the hassle and stress of strangers on your case, do you? Until then, rest easy because there are no unknown calls ending up on your bill!

IMessage has wrong phone number how do I change it

My iPhone 4S uses the correct # and so did my ipad up until about a month ago. That's when my daughter got her new 5C and it was set up. She's only 10, so they set it up under my appleID, now her phone # is showing up on my Ipad as the number to send messages to. She is receiving all my text and I hers.
How do I change the number back to mine on the ipad?

Try this on both you and your daughters iPhones:
1. go to settings>messages>send and receive
2. tap on the Apple ID and sign out
3. turn iMessage off and wait 10 seconds
4. turn iMessage on
5. this should activate iMessage with the iPhones own numbers
6. now only you sign into the Apple ID for iMessage
This should revert back to only your number and email showing as the contact info for iMessage and you both should not receive eachothers messages. Your daughter will still be able to iMessage but only with her number unless she creates another Apple ID just for iMessage.
Note: Only do steps 1-4 for the iPad

There are no charges for FaceTime itself. All you would pay would be any data charges from your carrier that might apply. This of course assumes that the carrier supports using FaceTime over their service; not all do.

Who has the phone unlocking code for an N95 to ope...

I'm awaiting my N95 unlocking code from Orange because they say Nokia have to issue it. But my girlfriend asked for her N95 code from her network (Vodafone) the day after and was given it straight away, after giving the customer services rep her IMEI number. So are the codes issued to the networks from Nokia upon request, or do the networks already have all the codes?

Verizon gave my landline phone number to someone else and now can't fix the problem FOR ME

I have a landline that is used for emergencies only in case my 7 year old son needs to be transported to the hospital for his seizures. I tried using the phone about 3 weeks ago during some bad weather only to find out there was no dial tone. Luckily, my cell phone woked. I contacted Verizon who sent out a technician who found out that the problem "was on their end." His work order showed someone else's name and address and he went to their house first before coming to mine. They told him they didn't have a problem so he came to my address.
I had called my "old" number from my cell phone to see if it would ring and ended up speaking to the husband of the lady who had "my" phone number. The tech asked them if they were willing to give up "my" number and they agreed to do so. The tech said he would resolve this issue for me because he'd never seen anything like it before. Maybe he and his supervisor should visit this forum and see how other customers have had the same issue. I received two calls yesterday from a Verizon customer support rep who tried to restore my service. She had to transfer me over to security or some department who treated me very rudely and told me to send a copy of my driver license or a copy of a bill to Verizon because they couldn't approve her order request. She had remained on the line with me. By this point, I'm getting **bleep** because this is the 2nd time I've been transferred to that verification department and I wanted to ask "Why don't I just send a copy of "my" bill showing my name and phone number as verification? Would that suffice?" The cust supp rep tried to explain to her what was going on but I am still without service. I had already verified my info last year when service was established and don't feel the need to provide this info again. It's Verizon's mess and they should fix it.
I am penning my letter to the corporate headquarters today. I even chatted online with another cust serv rep who was snarky with me until I typed that the chat session would be included with the letter to corporate. Then she tried to be helpful. What concerns me is even if my number is established, what if it happens again during an emergency? What about a refund that's owed me for paying for a line that was last used in June 2014 up until the present time? I want my money back. I have online banking records showing my payments. I am thoroughly disappointed in Verizon. How dare they take my money, turn off my phone, and now can't even restore it. After I contact their corporate office, if the issue isnt resolved, I am filing a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office as well as the BBB. I suggest that everyone else who will encounter this problem file a complaint too.

When I view emails on my Iphone, I can see the senders phone number. How can I ensure other recipients cannot view my contact information?

I have upgraded to the IOS 8.1 on my Iphone 4S. I recently noticed while I check my emails I can see read the senders phone number. There is even a prompt to add their contact information unto my phone. Is there a way in which I can block my contact information from others?

As simply as I can manage this is the idea behind phone numbers and emails in iMessage. All of this is example only. Apply it to your personal situation. iPhones have phone sevice, iPads do not. Both can use iMessage but how if the iPad has no phone number? Via email. So from your iPhone you want to send a message to your brother who has an iPad so you would send it to his email. Apple's server then takes the message and says "hey that dudes iPad is using this email for iMessage" and sends the message to the device. Your brother then sends a message back from his iPad to your phone number. Apples server then says "hey that dude is using this phone number on his iPhone we'll send it there, but wait that number is also being use for iMessage on that iMac (Messages OS X 10.8.2) lets send it there too". And you receive the message on both your iPhone and iMac. The benefit of setting an email to recieve iMessage on your iPhone is if you have an iPod touch or iPad (they recieve at email) that you want to recieve the messages along with the iPhone. With that your brother and his iPad would send a message to your email, instead of your phone number, and the iPod, iPad, iPhone, Mac or any other device you have that can use iMessage will recieve the message from your brother.

Phone Number Order

Address book is sorting phone numbers by some method I can't determine. I have one contact who has his "mobile" number first, then "other", then "home". I want Home, then Mobile, then Other. Deleting the phone numbers and adding them again, gets me to the same order--that I do not want.
How can I set the order in which the numbers appear?

They appear as Mobile, then Other, then Home. The order is important because I don't want to have to look through a list of numbers to find the one I use most often. Or in some cases, I have one or two numbers I need, but have 8-12 "other" numbers which are the roaming numbers used by the client to call me. Having them in my phone book allows my caller ID software to identify them correctly. I don't need those appearing at or near the top of the list when I'm looking for one of their numbers. Maybe it's not a big deal, but it's a constant irritation, and what appears to be a failing with the application.

How do I turn off Skype highlighting, so it doesn't automatically do it when I put a phone number on our website through Plone? The code gets repeated so it says "Skype highlighting" all across the page, and it's a pain to have to delete them all.

See question above. Our website hosts think it's something to do with Firefox since it doesn't happen for them. When I go into a web page to update information, if it has a phone number, after I make an update, the words "Skype highlighting" extend all across the page. It's frustrating.

It sounds like your iCloud Apple ID has a phone number associated with it that you would like to update. If this is the case, after signing in to the linked website below, you will see a section on the left side of the screen labeled Phone Numbers. You can edit the phone number associated with that account from there.
